If you were to pick up a clip with rounds in you could have a way of guessing by the weight of the clip. A stack of 30 rounds in a mag has a noticable.difference than the same mag with 15

I was wondering if corridors with flickering lights would add to the drama of searching buildings, imagine creaping down a corridor in a school where some lights are flickering on and off randomly. You turn the light goes off and then back on. One second the corridor is empty the next when the lights turn on a few zeds are shambling towards you

Just a thought. When you walk on the blood or they do they should leave blood. And if it rains the blood washes away

Exactly what it says on the tin.
Axe + zombie = limb removed. Be cool to see not just blood praying but dopping a limb or even able to cut a leg off so if it takes 2/3/4 strikes to remove parts as they keep coming.
    Leaving a trail of blood.

    Boxes of nails.
    Hammer.
    Saw.
    Door hinges and knobs.
    Axe.
Use as on trees collect logs. Loads of them transport them home. (heavy)
Cut logs make planks using saw. Stock pile them.
Find a building and use axe on doors. Collect hinges and knobs.
Use this lot to build walls and barricade windows useless doors u dont use. If your upstairs dont barricade the windows this level.
    Build crates for extra storage.
    Build wall around property.
    Secure your home.
If you have space build barricades inside too. Ie warehouse etc. For me i taken the appartments above the shops in west point and clocked through the internal walls and destroyed furniture to open a large place.
Collected sheets for windows for lighting at night. And have 2 upper windows for sheet rope exit points.
Outside a barricade around your main entrance complete with a door.
Then rain barrels needing binbags. But the better barrels are needing higher carpentry.
I would visiting a school or bookshop for books. For example carpentry.
If you manage to get to the warehouse even gun shop then get the shot gun and shells. Saw the barrel off so its lighter to carry and stash them near so you can get at it and escape with it and shells because once they find you blasting your way out may be needed.
Try your hand at cooking making soup its easy. And the soup lasts longer than refridged food.
Stash cans and tins of food for later.
Look out for gardening tools and large rucksacks, use a spare rucksack with an emergancy escape kit in it. First aid items a tent kit. Canned food with opener and water plus valuable other items you might need so if you wake up and find your home is burning or a zombie is nibbling on a toe then you can grab the bag and shot gun and escape.
    Dont leave your oven on
Tip. Dont use sledgehammer as a weapon but use it to knock down a wall to get in to the gun shop at west point.
The highschool north of west point has a library inside.
    Keep a towel handy.
Digging the garden makes you tired very fast.
Eat a large meal before bed as if your very very very very tired then you might starve to death in your sleep. A bug i think as it takes 4 weeks to actually starve on average. Its lack of water that would hit first in real life. I hope they fix that at some point.
Also remember chopping wood. Sawing hammering etc makes noise. Noise = zombie attention. So clear zombies around the area of work.

Just so happens, directed to the thread creator. That my partner asked me why the house alarms across the street kept going off and i said its the game not he RL.
Also yesterday we were drivig about and we were clocking up good anti zombie location around town. A library is bad. A old victorian house has solid walls. But a modern tower block complete with heavy duty metal doors with mag lock is perfect.
Good view points solid walls limited access points. Easy for ropes from first floor.
Plenty of rooms. And a roof for growing crops and catching rain.
And a lift for the transfer of soil before the electricity goes out.
    A snipers dream

darthdraken got a reaction from Wiggins in Things i would like to see added to the game to help with immersion.
Hi guys, been playing a lot of indie games under development for a while now and came across your game.
I played it and liked it so bought it a few days ago.

Upon playing several play thoughs i feel its missing a few simple things.

First in the police station you have a jail with bars and well you cant see through them, would be nice to see through them and also, you could have zombies stretching their arms through.
Also no keys for the cells having random bodies about with keys etc would be good for certain buildings.

I loved the zombies attacking you when you open a door, falling over you. But how about some doors like toilet doors etc have a body pressed against them so you open and out falls a corpse scaring you.

Would be good to have bodies slumped randomly around against windows and over desks so if you inspect the table the body falls off making a noise unless you move the body first.

Would be nice to see a trashed town ie 28 days later already broken up. Bodies litter the streets and burnt out cars about. Fires smoldering and stuff.

A sewer system under the towns would provide another level to the game.

Being able bridge from one roof top to another would be good.

    Climbing drainpipes also optional.

Being able to carry bodies over your shoulder and dump them.

Using a hammer or other tools. Strip a door from a house and use it to board up another door.

Same with park benches as they wooden and even furniture.

Brings me to chairs tables fridges etc. Make furniture moveable so you can push in front of doors and windows.

Using sheets to climb through a broken windows so you dont get cut.

Wearable items like hats and protective gear. Fire suit. Army suit etc.

Body armour from police bodies and soldiers.

Face masks and goggles to protect from saliva.

Setting fire to grass to burn areas.

Combat webbing for extra carry capacity.

Helmets and knee pads for combat and falling from heights.

Having an actual sneak option ie animation of crouching even crawling about. For sneaking.

Works benches for crafting stuff on and give quality bonus to products.

    Alarm style trip wires ect.

Devices to make sound so they distract zombies.

Flamable exlosive items. Gas cans etc so u can pour on ground and light.

Throwable stones and objects for distraction.

Spike traps like from walking dead series.

Create ladders etc for entering top floor rooms.

ability to smash through internal walls with axe's

Fire extinguishers, for blunt weapons and putting out fires.

Ability to push abandoned cars in to a blockade for defence. if you add cars...

Finishing move ability complete with cool down bar.

Fire Hydrants that can be hit with sledge hammer to spray areas with water to push over zombies.

ability to vault over high walls using dust bins or other objects.

Use if chains and padlocks for gates etc.

Half eaten corpes all over the place.

Dead npc diaries, explaining their last days. that can give clues to hidden stashes and locations.

A mouse driven target for the mouse pointer, instead of shooting in the direction so you can deliver head shots using your skills not as an auto thing. Thing assault squad or the old soldiers of heroes.
Creates a player reaction and panic skill level.

    Snoring trait.

    So far so good guys.
    Keep up the great work...

will play another 80 hours worth, then will wait for the finished product. and slide it along side my other future games of, the dead linger, xenonaughts and more.
