Honestly I think the whole system is rather awkward, and in need of change. You should just level up automatically when you get enough experience. I always have excess points to spend with all my boxes filled so it's not like you need to be selective of which skill to upgrade.

It doesn't even make sense realistically... Anyway I'm pretty sure it's going to change at some point as it's mainly just a rough rushed model, it's nothing urgent though.

I think the zombies having injuries and limps is planned. If you look in the animation video they featured in the re-animated mondoid, you can actually see a zombie with an arm missing.

Not sure about the clothes thing though.

This... Has gotten really out of hand. It doesn't seem like anyone is really adding anything at this point. Just a big circle of arguing where people aren't getting anywhere.

In an effort to introduce something new, I'd like to point out that most people seem to overlook the gun modifications ingame. Which, ideally, can function as the variety people are asking for without literally adding more guns to the game. We only have one type of pistol, but you can modify it to have iron sights, a red dot, or a laser. So including the original, that's four variations, and I'm pretty sure you can have multiple mods on at once.

I'm sure many players overlook this though, I know I did until I saw that the description on my two pistols were different. I've never been a guns a-blazin' character so I can't speak too much on how they impact play, but they definitely do something.

Yeah, I don't think they should be rare, I mean. Some people will try to drive away in their car sure, but a lot of people will have been zombified before they had a chance to escape.

However, although I think they should be fairly common, getting into a car and driving off shouldn't be too easy. (You shouldn't be able to escape a horde by jumping in a nearby car... Unless you were very lucky and it was unlocked, key in ignition, fueled, working and had power)

First of all, in order to get into the car you'd need to smash a window or something. if the car still had power this would definitely set off the car alarm, bringing unwanted attention. Also, once inside, you'd need to hot wire the car, this shouldn't be easy and might take a while.

Even then, once you have the car able to turn on, you might face other problems. No electricity, you might need to jump start the car. Engine is broken, you'd need to repair or swap out parts. Also, no fuel, you'll need to fill the tank with petrol.

These things could just be random (person left lights on and so battery died, ext). But it could also have been deliberate, eg. someone took engine parts from the car, siphoned the gas and such.

Basically, I don't think cars themselves should be rare, but they should require a lot of effort to get working.

Wat?, Hydrocraft doesn't dictate how the base game is developed. You could just solve that by removing the in-game furnace and replacing it with your own.

I honestly have to agree, the amount of guns is pretty lackluster, I know we can sandbox it, but I still think it's pretty crazy. I mean, I don't think I've ever seen a hunting rifle outside of a gunshop, but I guess that's what the gunshops are for.

For now I'll just pretend all those guns were taken by other survivors, which currently own invisibility cloaks.
Except when you sandbox a world with no zombies, and then you find them randomly dead in the streets.

If you'd read my other posts on this topic you'd realise that I would like more types of guns, and I would like to find guns in other places. I was the one that mentioned the oddness at not finding hunting rifles in homes, and also the appearance of bullets in places that never seem to have guns.

I also stated I wouldn't mind there being machine guns if they were owned by the military and difficult to procure.

I'm very aware that gameplay for guns is still up for debate.

What I was against was the idea that "the devs would have definitely added more guns if they went to and saw gun culture in Kentucky".
They aren't ignorant, I'm sure they're aware the amount and types of guns in the game do not reflect reality.

I believe perhaps this line from me caused confusion "as if having the devs walk about in Kentucky and seeing the amount of guns would make them reconsider"

Perhaps 'reconsider' was the wrong word here, I didn't mean that they've already made their minds up, they could still be considering ideas, just that I'm sure they are aware of Kentucky gun culture and seeing it first hand wouldn't do a whole lot.
    Sorry about that.

Whether they choose to act on this and add more guns is up to them. I'm not against them adding more guns at all. :/

Honestly this all a large misunderstanding, and I apologize for my part in it.

No, it's not that at all. It's for gameplay reasons. Don't kid yourself.

I think you should also add bees. They should be able to get bitten by zombies too, and then they will turn into zombees.

Zombies don't just bite and scratch. They also have a "punch" attack, which does damage but doesn't leave an open wound. How did you know you were scratched? If it was from the injury or pain moodle, then that could have just been from the punch.

All of you are pretty much arguing the same point that guns are needed for realism, and it's already been stated that the low amount of guns are for gameplay purposes, not realism.

If everyone had a hundred guns and thousands of bullets then the game would be a breeze. Find a rooftop and then pump lead for hours, zombie apocalypse over.

I know I said it was a bit ridiculous, but that was mainly to do with the lack of hunting rifles, which I know now aren't programmed to spawn in houses (which is a little weird considering I've found their ammo outside of gun stores).

I'd like more completely different types guns if they were balanced, but my point was mainly directed at people who more of the same type of gun (many different pistols ext) and more numerous guns in general (ruins gameplay).

They do plan on having military and military interactions at some point, and I'd think the military have automatic or semi-automatic weapons. I think these would be justified in getting because you'd need to steal it from the military and you'd have precious little ammo (maybe metal-crafter will help with making dem boolets).

The devs have said they won't include sex in the game, so this will never happen. Therefore people will always win over zombies in PZ
