    I suggest waiting for the Creative Mode then start a whole new map and gather a few of the New Dawn members or admins etc and form your dream map

    I am in love with this mod overhaul. it was about time someone felt like messing around with the tidiness ingame  this has been added to my challenge playthroughs and to my personal server and works very well in multiplayer as in singleplayer !

    Update: Thanks for all the support and I'm sorry for staying silent all this long. I loved the idea of recreating this amazing city but at the time; school, work, some PZ updates, and my old laptop's old hardware made me lost motivation to keep working on this project. I just put everything away just to collect dust. But not anymore, after trying Project Zomboid's new animations for a couple of months, it brought me back that motivation I had when I worked in RC. I always loved the idea to experiment surviving in a city in PZ. And I knew RC would be one of the best cities where people can both recognize iconic buildings and have the feeling of being in a urban city. Thanks a lot and I will bring more updates in a couple of days, but at the time. I exported the map and tested multiple buildings as a Police Officer, I wonder who's Leon and if he at least had a nice first day?

    How you doing survivors, I´ll hope you are doing great. This new post was made to separate the old with the new.
    I have been working in the project pretty slowly but without stopping.

    I´m planning to make a big map, with all Raccoon City´s forests and two little towns called "Stoneville" and "Arklay City". I have many ideas for building the main city and too many tasks to do but I wont stop until the project is done. At the moment, I have the basis of the map as png files and are about 15 chunks for the city.
     
    I'm using this map as reference:

             
    I'm currently working in one chunk with iconic buildings from RE2 and a couple from RE3. I will show pictures of these places but at the same time try to avoid "spoiling" too much about the project. I'd rather have you guys experience it than being spoiled. I'll limit it for places that people already know for the moment.

    He estado trabajando en el proyecto algo lento pero sin detenerme.
    Estoy planeando hacer un mapa muy grande, con todos los bosques de Racoon city y 2 pueblos pequeños llamados "Stoneville" y "Arklay City". Tengo muchos planes y mucho trabajo que hacer, pero no voy a parar hasta que termine. Por el momento el mapa base esta terminado (archivos png y tmx). Son 15 chunks en total para la ciudad.

    Por el momento Estoy trabajando en solo 1 chunk con los lugares mas famosos de RE2, y algunos de RE3. Voy a mostrat algunas imagenes acerca de estos lugares, pero No voy a mostrar muchos Spilers acerca de la ciudad. En realidad no me gusta Spoilear gente, Por lo tanto solo voy a mostrar imagenes acerca de lugares que fanes de RE conocen.
             Estoy pensando en pedir ayuda, Tendria que medir una cuadra antes de preguntar por un edificio. Por el momento voy a hacerlo por mi cuenta. Gracias por leer el post y espero que disfruten las imagenes.

    I found an Unpacker and pakcer java program online to extract the game images from the .BACK files in textures
    I was keen to edit them to to fit more in with the theme - they are fine sprites, I just wanted to add my flare to them
     
    The program I'm using packs all the 1/2 sprites up easy and can use fine -
    the problem is; the x2 sprites don't wanna be pack'd so I can't use them >< the program seems to stall and never finishes
     
    can anyone guide me to a better program that can handle these PNG files and pack them fast and clean ?
     
    I've started to do a few (the few images in the middle) and then this hick up happened and decided to stop just incase it was going to be wasted time
     
    each item was going to get a little face lift, a small story per each sprite (be great if some one could write a script where it could pick more than just one image file) like pick sprites from my one and then from original so the game would have double the items to dot around the map

    I thought we could, those of you playing the IWBUMS 35, all pitch in the information we've got and come up with a quick makeshift guide/informative thread here so other fellow Zomboids can be informed.

    ! HOW TO LEVEL UP METALWORKING ! - 
    Before level 1 you can only make metal floors and roofs to gain XP ( without recipes ). At level 5 you unlock the Big Wire Fence ( so spam that stuff to XP+ ). At level 9 you unlock the Big Pole Fence Gate ( so rinse and repeat until level 10  ).  
    Tools -
    Propane torch, Welding mask, Welding rods, Propane, (more?)  
    Materials -
    Wire, Metal bar, Metal tube, Small metal sheet, Sheet metal, Scrap metal, Useless metal (at low levels you get this often when dismantling.). (probably more to add soon)  
    Magazines/Recipes 4 total -
    Teaches Wire Fences. Teaches Walls/Fences. Teaches Containers. Teaches Small Metal Sheets to Metal Sheet.    
    Stuff you can build - 
    Barricading using  sheet metal or bars, Make metal wall frames which you can finish with wood to + its strength. (or metal), You can dismantle metal shelves and counters for more materials, Barricading might give xp in Solo, (confirmed not to work in co-op), Containers you can build are:  lockers, gun lockers, metal crates, metal cabinets, and more, Some ideas: Towers, Shacks, Shantys, Cottages, Cabins, etc...  
    A few tips/notes -
    Slight problem: materials for Metalworking are "finite". The amount of metal bars/sheets required to make a simple wall is huge ! Carpentry is still better then Metalworking atm. Wooden walls are much better still. Dismantling the paper towel dispenser does not give Metalworking experience but Electrical ! O-o The higher your Metalworking level is the more stuff you get for dismantling things related to Metalworking. Use metal frames for your walls, just upgrade it with wood if you don't have metal. It will make much better walls. You need the recipe though... It isn't recommended to attempt building a metal fortress for the weight of metal is considerable. >.<' (more?)

    well fml >.< I didn't even question myself when i typed those words in the "guide"  -  cabins, towers, shantys.... xD ikr I will re-update first thing tomorrow after work.  me head is hitting nails this late at night. :/

    (Entre chaque maps/mods tu rajoute ";" et Muldraygh, KY tu le laisse a droite de la ligne.
     
    J'espère t'avoir éclairé, quand tu lance le serveur, ça te télécharge la maps automatiquement.

    CartoZed is a little tool that can draw 2d topdown images from lotheader/lotpack data. It should work for custom maps as well.
    The new version also has the option to export isometric renders of cells.

    That would be interesting, There would have to be an invisible wall of some sort. It could be possible to make a custom tileset, Similar to how they made the terrain in Stardew valley.

    Technically there is no real elevation but with a good tileset you can make it look like there is.

    I got Mountains kinda done (rough draft)
    Plus I've redone some of the map 
    And created a ton of custom suburb houses that aren't based on any blueprints / street view imagery / stock photos might post pics of them later if I manage to unlazyfy myself

    I have been working on some more location specific buildings.
    I'm special proud of the towers c:

    I have also replicated the L4D Blood Harvest finale farmhouse, however, due to some misaligning and conflicting with rather necessary roof and fencing tiles I'm very unhappy with it, therefor I'm going to look into and work on it some more later.

    what writing style? i wont make the mountains impassable as it would result in a part of the map being unaccessible but i indeed wanna make sure people notice when theyre on / close to a mountain or not. for example, a cabin or lookout station may have one story with only front supports and a second with front and back supports if you understand what i mean. tree and vegetation density will decrease the higher it gets and the terrain will change accordingly too. i wish i could upload the other stuff i had but im too lazy and i have to move so many files from a folder on my desktop and id have to minimize to the desktop and all that hope you understand the struggle i will upload the files whenever i guess.
    Actually nevermind i have just spent my last 15 mins on this showcases examples of the housing in my project
