Insidiousness got a reaction from TurtleShroom in Water Dispenser: LET ME FILL IT WITH CLEAN WATER!
This would give the water dispenser a good use in my base
Boil the water in a cooking put, fill up the water dispenser = Drink from it and fill water bottles from it for expeditions.

Yup! i'm having the same issue, I do have thumping zeds on false, however they do sometimes still thump on windows and doors due to meta events but meh, i'm not too worried about that so much.

But I wanted to say thank you guys for adding in the option for thumpin zeds, I don't know if you all have noticed this the way I have, but with thumping set to false, you guys have created a HUGE since of fear when I play now haha. Just sitting in my safe house, and all I hear is moans outside, movement in the trees, its actually frighting because one slip up of running, opening a door, taking something off my shelves/crates could trigger one of them to finding me. and because all my blinds are closed I cannot see where they exactly are  or exactly how many are around me. its absolutely amazing!!! I love it!!! I find it more realistic now because how would a zombie know I'm inside this house when I'm not making any sounds or looking through my windows ect. but anyways thanks guys for making seriously the best zombie game I've ever played

The sound wasn't the heavy breathing sound effect exactly, it was like the first 1/2 second of it played on an infinite loop at maximum volume.

The heavy breathing is still in.

Or at least have a dish/bath towel, loose shirt, or ripped sheets on you. I like the idea, but I would hate to be tied to using only oven mitts.

Refrigeration is too much of an emphasis to me in this game. Stuff meat with salt and hang it in a cellar and it will keep just fine. Keep veggies as well - especially root vegetables such as potatoes which are basically just seed if they start sprouting. Just keeping most vegetables covered in dirt and in a cool dark corner lets them keep indefinitely and even most fruit is fine to sit out at room temperature. Something like milk (raw) can be fermented for long-term storage if you don't have fridges or just churn it into butter which will keep fine long-term and would be your best bet if you had access to dairy. I also think the jarred goods don't last as long as they should, and you could make lacto-fermented vegetables or use cider vinegar to ferment vegetables without processing them.

But I suggest that the sledgehammer should't be able to break stairs.
Or make sheet ropes unsafe so players break their legs every once in a while.. Depending on strength, endurance, tiredness level, exhaustion and what not.

But most preferable removing the possibility to destroy stairs. Barricading the stairs.. Sure, but completely breaking them? Madness!
I mean we can even sledge metal stairs in a warehouse to pieces..

Okay, so I'll refine my suggestion:
    No sledging of metal stairs
Penalties/danger involved with using sheet rope (especially the higher up it? Carrying weight? Tiredness? Exhaustion? Sickness?)
    No flying fortress
Ability to barricade stairs with a new item such as *broken furniture* or something. (right click chair, chose break.. it goes into the ground and you can pick it up and it's very heavy ofc. This item is useful for barricading stairs or doors, completely blocking the entrance. Looks cool too!)

Possibly, and yes, it's definitely more work for me with changes etc, (for example, I haven't updated the manual for things like Last Stand mode yet).

The tutorial stuff and tooltips will hopefully be back in soon, so eventually this manual may well become redundant.

Having said that, I saw a need for something like this, (and seems to have been useful for a lot of people), and it was my way of helping the PZ community. I know game manuals are fast becoming a thing of the past, (man I remember some of the manuals that came with some of my old Amiga games back in the day - they were like a bloody Encyclopaedia!   ), but there are still some who like having a guide/manual they can browse/read when not in-game, (well, at least I do anyway).

When it's obvious having a manual is redundant, then I'll probably not bother updating, we'll see.

Please, add more random sandbox settings:

    - random zombie migration times (i.e. 8 hours - 1 week)
    - random zombie respawn times (i.e. 12 hours - 1 week)
    - random zombie respawn rate (i.e. 0 - 0.5)
    - random zombies (some are weak some are normal some are tough, some have better hearing and sight, some are nearly blind and deaf, small part of them are sprinters etc.) slider option would be cool.
    - random month/day start

I will try to get some screenshots for you mate or a video!
Also I heard on the radio that Knox County was done for.
I think I heard something about a stronghold there though...
I think we might see Military NPC's in the future holding down the fort someplace.

    edit:
Meh... All I got now was static.
See, there was a gap between the radio transmissions. First few days there were news, then static, then after 13 days or so, a couple of transmissions, now static again...

Heh! My infection story is quite different. As soon as I realized that I'm a goner and my soul had been written off to the devil, I grabbed all the ammo I could, and contacted all the survivors I could find over radio. A girl responded, half way across the city, that she needed help. So I gave her coordinates to my safehouse, and went to get her, found her and her boyfriend, and cut a path through the zeds for them. I must have killed a whole thousand. Tirelessly, fiercely, without a stop. They followed me all the way to my safehouse, where I had everything they needed to survive. They thanked me profusely, and I, bloodied and broken, nodded. Then I gave them my shotgun, and placed a pistol into the boy's hand.

"You know what to do. When you see me black out, put one right in here." I pointed at my forehead.
"Be safe. I'm checking out." were my last words.

The boy did the job well. Flawlessly.
