I just started a new game and I can say the vehicles help out lots early on, though I cannot speak for later in the game. I spawned in Rosewood this time and once I found a suitable possible home in the gated community, I took a car and drove all the way to the West Point drug store for axes - to save time. I'm rather annoyed that when zombies walk towards you when you're driving past, your character still gets panicked, and I feel like if it was in the zombie apocalypse and I flew by a zombie at 60 MPH, I wouldn't get panicked. I would also like the air conditioner to work a little quicker so my character isn't forever waiting to become cooled off. Another addition I'd like to see is more damage from accidents. I hit a tree at 70~ MPH and only busted a windshield and my headlights, whereas in reality, I'd die. One other thing; I'd like to zoom out more in a vehicle so I can avoid hitting a tree at that speed when there's a corner I need to go around. Other than those 4 things, the vehicles have helped me out in my game play, more speeding up the process than making the process easier considering I still have the dead chasing after me. It's a great addition and I cannot wait to see more.

Exactly my thoughts - I mentioned it loosely in Build 34 discussion - using quarters would give some use to the wallets that could contain it and braking into them would make noise and potentially alarm, that would attract zombies around.

    What a good idea!
I also think you should have to have mechanical skill or quarters on hand to get the dang sodas out. I mean how are we just reaching into some of these machines? Otherwise I think you should have to break into them (which in hindsight would ruin the refrigeration of the machine).

It has been a couple of years but I had the same experience. I think we even had a thread about it back then and there were others that survived a bite. Frankly, I think there should be a 5-10% chance of surviving a bite.  If you know a bite is 100% fatal there is little point in continuing. However, if you know there is a chance you might survive you may go all out in your healing/recovery efforts. This sort of struggle adds to the game in my opinion.

Initial Infection is only intended to be played briefly, I would assume.

I believe that there is such a thing as Too Many Options, but in this case it's a welcome first step between installation and near-certain death in 90 minutes, AKA Survival mode.

I would love to see some kind of option between curtains being closed or completely open, maybe a severely limited field of vision where the player is only visible to zombies adjacent to the door or window?

The reason I ask is that during helicopter events, even if the player immediately steps back after opening the curtains to see which way the horde is moving (ie "have I been spotted?") it seems the heli can still see the player and brings a horde the the safehouse.

I like what the heli events do for the atmosphere of the game and don't want to see them nerfed, but it's frustrating when your player makes it inside in time, but gets spotted looking out the window; especially when it's 12pm in-game and you're not even breaking curfew.

could be as simple as allowing you to cancel while the animation is playing. Maybe if you move in the direction opposite? It would certainly have saved a few of my characters from month long recoveries and/or death :/

I think it'd be neat if instead of jumping out a second story window, the character went through the window and hung from the window sill on the other side. It could allow you to climb back up if you hadn't intended to jump out the window, but also if you wanted to jump, you can drop down from a much lower height that just leaping out the window. Realistically hanging out a second story window and dropping down should give you a sprain at worst.

As for falling off flat roofs, I think you shouldn't be able to just walk off just by pressing the moving keys. I'd prefer having to hold e to hang off the edge of the platform, and then doing the "drop down" thing again to prevent major injury.

Of course these should both be changeable in the options in case someone wishes to fracture their leg all the time.

    150. Add an ability to glue posters to the windows, as a poor curtain replacement.
    151. Make "Outdoorsman" trait more expensive (Currently it's 2 points) or nerf it's effects.
    152. Add suture needle to tailoring recipes as an option. © Cromulent Archer
    153. Maybe, speed up foraging a little bit? It's too boring to stand in the forest, doing nothing. And the outcome is not guaranteed.

    135. craftable cots, a few sturdy sticks, a sheet, and a needle and thread , I know there's the tent kit but a cot could maybe be lighter? the trade off could be no protection from the rain like with the tent.

    136. increase the point cost of the outdoorsman trait. you never have to deal with getting sick when you take it. swap point cost for high thirst and hearty appetite. water is a lot easier to obtain than food.

    133. Rain should considerably dampen sounds made by character (running, walking, swinging weapons) and generator sound. Storm should almost nullify sounds made by character and generator, and dampen considerably the sounds of guns, alarms etc.

    107)  FIRE should not travel across asphalt, sand and gravel. Pleas fix the damn "soaked in gasoline world" thing.
    108) Microwaves should not be 100 firestarters (they have timers, rathlord can set it to 99:99 (somehow), but they usually set timers properly)
    109) Microwaves should be usable only with cups, bowls, meat and burgers and whatever is not made om metal.
    110) We now have A LOT of stones, please add an improved fireplace building recipe, I mean no ignitions near the campfire.

A lot of good ideas here!
ill just add few not mentioned before
101): more ammo spawn: its hard to use guns not only because the noise but also lack of ammo, its hard to find enough to start a gun fight or just lvl up shooting skill
    102) less canned food
    103) jar lids reusable, more jars and lids spawn, required lvl 2 in cooking to makre jars with food - I remember long time ago preserving food was so much requested feature and then RJ added it ! But we dont use it as you never find enough jars / lids for winter and canned food is just too common.
    104) more light sources (torches, bigger flashlights) + darker nights.
    105) pills that work like herbs : faster fracture healing etc.
    106) more buff for cooking, nutrition is nice but now we eat different kind of "spawned" food instead of cooking. That well feed buff is good but dont last long.
    107) make that 1hit-jaw-stab with knifes require lvl 2 or 3 in blade skills (its OP)
    108) merge lightfoot and sneaking skills into stealth skill: they are not worth investing skill points in them.
    109) merge defence skills into one.
    110) buff metal wall HP by 4-5 times !

Or maybe add a ''Smoker'' Trait; where cigarettes REMOVE unhappiness instead of adding it, but you become unhappy if you don't smoke one once in a while.

    96. Option to start in the same spot when playing coop.
    97. Players should not fall off "cliffs" when walking, only when sprinting. This is especially important in MP, some players will grief by building cliffs that are impossible to see (i hope you know what i mean)
    98. Remove unhappyness from cigarettes ;P

I really like #21 as well.

I think this would have a big impact on immersion and help immensely with MP. Just being able to see what is on each shelf visually instead of having to check the contents.

    80. Make containers paintable.
Would be a big help with identifying which items go where in MP. Then you can set rules for your group on where loot goes. For example; green is for food, blue is for medical supplies, red is weapons, orange is for tools, etc. Or whatever your group decides.

Light sources should be something you want and at the same time you fear, i barely see people using flashlights while raiding and the ONLY time i seen flashlights uses are when making lamp posts, batteries would become a valuable commodity as candles would.
