    Hey its Benson,

    wanted to share some ideas about making the winter in PZ more cooler.
     
    Ice:
    - the water in all sinks, toilets should be able to freeze and no more be able to be exploited in this condition
    - the small seas should be able to freeze. no more fishing possible, but you can walk on them
    - the river is always free of ice

    Snow:
    - player should be able to catch huge amounts of snow, and to liquify it (tainted water)
    - you can draw arrows in the snow, for  "orientation" (until it snows again...)
    - maybe visible footsteps/tiretracks?

    Health:
    - player should be able to die from cold
    - cold wind has bitten my flowers
    - catching a cold from cold

    Could the lovely Indie stone, please add In an option to suicide with a pistol, shotgun, or rifle.
     
     
    I understand there Is other ways to suicide but, I want and I'm sure some people do too, Is to not become a zombie everytime so blowing your character head clean off would be a good way to solve that. 
     
    It would work like this.
     
    Right click a gun with a loaded magazine/bullets and click commit suicide then an option saying do you really want to commit suicide with the yes or no button of course then a small animation (not needed c:) and then the sound of the gun and your character hits the deck as blood spurts from there head xD wow that's grim. 
     
     
    Also, It'd be nice If once your character got depressed like a cold he would sometimes mumble about struggling with life to full on shouting or not being able to sleep. They might sometimes sob or something c:

    Thanks for your condolences, don't worry about it. Stuff in life just happens and I'm not going to whine about it. I agree though, this should be a thing especially for RP reasons. Maybe the screen slowly blacks out and you hear a gun shot, and the screen fades back with your body on the floor telling your survival time.

    My brother committed suicide, so if I wanted to shoot myself in game for gameplay reasons, having an animation and gore would be slightly unsettling for me and possibly others. Plus, you have to consider the ratings for violence.

    Oh, and in case anyone was wondering - the first three timeslots (so 18 hours of the first day) in the Initial Infection scenario are currently blank. Filling that in is on my 'to do' list, and I'll hopefully get it into an update before the end of the week. 
     
    The First Week currently has TV and Radio operational for the first week or so, while you'll find radio lasts a little longer that the TV. Six Months Later, meanwhile, also contains radio signals. There's also radio stuff in-between on the First Week and Survival timeline iirc.
     
    I'm surprised no-one's noticed the various community references and in-jokes yet, but I guess everyone's too tuned into the news channels at the mo and isn't looking at the more frivolous stuff

    AWESOME! I love It, I've survived 5 days on the first week and the radio's and tv's are wild! people have been escaping from the quarantine zone, and the Infected will be roaming about shortly outside of Kentucky woo! this Is awesome, I love the new radios and tv's you the Indie stone have done a great job.     FMOD: New sound engine!Tons of new sounds and ambient! (fridge buzz, water drip, birds...) New random music algorythm: some weird music will start at night to give a creepy ambient! Proper 3D sound! The helicopter will now circle around a player, you'll need to hide (forest or house) for it to stop! Added an ambient volume slider in the option. New randomized buildings:Some buildings will now be burnt, looted or already barricaded. Some will have specific professions loots Made world more alive, some windows/inside door will be open. New main menu!Allowing to custom your difficulty settings easier. You can choose a difficulty for the world/zombie and then for your starter/character. (need more balancing) Choose from "The First Day" to "6 Months After the Apocalypse" (hard early game), and don't forget our hardcore Survival (hard late game!) Then select if your character will start with some bonuses, such as items or xp multiplier! New trait: herbalistWith this trait you can find medicinal herbs by foraging. They'll help you fixing your broken bones, your stomach disease, etc. Some will require to be transformed in poultice with a mortar and a pilon! Now each new game a random berry/mushroom (yay mushroom!) will be poisonous, same for multiplayer and only the herbalist will know which one you shouldn't eat. Not a herbalist? Take care when eating berries Radios TVs Moveable furnitures! (icon is on the left) Balanced zombies grouping a bit, start game should be way more easier (no zombies thumping at your door when you spawn, less zombies around you, etc...) Added sandbox options to make zombies thump only if they're chasing/heard a sound (still enabled in 6 months/survival) Added /alarm server admin command to force an alarm to play in the current room.     A small suggestion, Wouldn't it be nice to have more options for character customization such as body type, more faces, beards, hair, ect.? With all of the new animations and models that will be coming our way in the soon-ish future it would be cool if they could add some of these.

    Added RCON (remote console) support on the server.   When enabled, the server accepts console commands through a TCP connection.  A simple RCON client is provided in the rcon/ folder of the game.  There are two options in the server INI file, RCONPort and RCONPassword.  If RCONPassword is left empty, then RCON is disabled. The tabs in the Crafting window will scroll horizontally if the tabs are wider than the window.  They can be scrolled with the mousewheel or by clicking a button.  (Issue #002100) Added console messages about Steam vs non-Steam clients and servers when connecting to a server fails. Require long 'E' press to climb through a broken window with no floor on the other side. Attempted to fix "laggy" zombie combat in multiplayer.  The server sends updates every turn (12 times per second) for the 10 closest zombies to the player.  (Issue #002098)

    I don't think that'd be OP I mean in real life you could turn your head while running. But in trade-off you can't see what's in front of you.

    Will there be changes to melee combat? it seems once you knock a zombie down and just keep hitting it with any melee weapon anywhere even its foot it still counts to beating its head. Will there be any way to signify what part of the body you're hitting maybe you could hit a leg and cripple it and turn it into a crawler?
