SJane3384 got a reaction from Petra in So you know that house on the river in WP?
I wanted to see if you could use carpentry skills to access it. I set up a sandbox game with no zombies and time ratio set to "Real Time" to find out. I created a guy named Testy McTest and spent awhile in WP gathering up supplies. After finding the first three carpentry books, a sledgehammer, axe, saw, hammer, and 20 boxes of nails, I headed over to the house. My plan was to build stairs across and knock off a piece of the roof, then drop down and see what was inside. A couple days and several hundred sawed logs later, this is what I found:

Was anyone else hoping for some type of crazy rare loot easter egg inside the water house? Like a mint green Spiffo waiting to be found by someone crazy enough to do this?

Aha! Now I remember why "Indie Stone" sounded familiar! You guys kept me playing TS3 long after I would've gotten frustrated with their retarded story progression.
So....what about kidnapping that Twallan guy? Would that help with NPC creation?

Hehe, that boathouse should NOT be appearing like that, in game. In the map editor, there's a dock leading toward it, as well as places to stand within I'll have to look into this.

Whoaa! Thank you for doing this! I tried to access that house but i couldn't build on the water tiles so i gave up. Smart of you to do that, but sad that poor Testy McTest is RIP of tilestuck. We'll just say he so desperately tried to create a zombieproof safehouse that he drowned! :C

If you reload the same world, all your stuff is exactly where you left it bro. Trust me, I've done it before.
In fact, it took me 3 characters to finally settle the farmhouse the way I liked it

I joined the server, it's a mess, so many dead bodies everywhere. It was running fine for me, I also meet a couple of guys.

Eye of the beholder and all that.
We'll try to douse the inevitable flames. Scaring may result, however, and we cannot be held liable for any cosmetic and/or mortal injuries you receive.
Just be lovely in response to them.

SJane3384 reacted to ApolloDiaspora in Biggest horde ever?
One of the larger hordes I've seen, but I don't think it's the largest by far. Of course, ANY horde appears fekking huge in a tight confined area. Running along the small road to the west of the highway (through the trees), and using a shotgun to clear out clumps of zeds, I got a LARGE mob flooding into the tight funnel. Man, does that ever make it look big. Oh, and I got bitten on the crotch. As usual.

Or just make stairs, hang a sheet rope, then destroy the stairs. That's what I did for my fortress.

Can I hug you all individually at rezzed or would time be better spent in a group hug, like a giant developer/tooks sandwich?
Also how complicated will it be for modders to add in custom npc content once their system is in place?
