    Hello Community,

Some time ago, I started looking into/playing with the Maptools, in my spare time.
After I made my first building, "it" evolved into a whole cluster of buildings.

This "cluster of buildings" looks very close to an area where I grew up (althrough a bit modified, to fit the PZ-universe).
For now, there are 2 Cells (not complete).
But I like to expand it a little further, by making it a 4 Cell city.

There are some buildings I used/adjusted, made by other community members:

    - DoctahWong_cortman-medical
    - Doublebrain_ abandoned-factory
    - Jinja_house-1 and house-2
    - mendonca_modern-villa-R
    - Phex_garages
    - Veged_small-house

Many thanks, to those(and all the other) members for sharing.

Special thanks to The_Indie_Stone, and all who made it possible, for releasing the Maptools!

Suggestions, ideas or critism are welcome.
If you find any bugs or issues: please do reply or send a pm, thanks.

You do know that they often use Three-phase electricity for ovens instead of gas do you?
It's a lot safer since there is nothing in your vicinity that's able to explode.
But on the subject. There could be some of both in PZ. Thats something I would like to happen.

Well now. It's another day for me, and I had an idea I would like to share.
    I would like to say this: If anyone mentions that NPC's aren't released yet - yes, I know this, I know this and I know this already. This is for when they eventually are released. (;

What if, at the beginning of the game/character creation screen, we could choose if we wanted to start with other survivors we could customise to our hearts extent (using the current character creation options)

Perhaps then, you could choose what kind of relationship you have with that person (work colleague, family, married, friends, etc) that strengthens how well you get along with that person... like a bolster in relations that makes it harder to piss them off, or if they like you in a survival group.

This sounds like it could be fun, right? Like a kate and baldspot kinda thing?

Leave your thoughts, extensions, questions, etc. c:

First of all, Thank you for the best zombie survival simulation to date, you guys really capture what a true zombie apocalypse should be, with that being said lets get to the topic.

Alright so, i've been playing this game for a little while now and am curently playing in the sandbox mode with a higher difficulty hahaha ( I called the preset "Nightmare") Anyways, in this sandbox preset i have currently set the number of zombies to insane and their hearing to pinpoint, I got to a point where my sneaking and lightfooted skills are really high so i can easily sneak into the massive horde of zombies in the center of town, the problem is that sometimes i need to kill 1 zombie to get through a hallway or maybe a tight alley and even with a knife, one swing of my weapon or one zombie kill is enough to get the attention of every single zombie in an enourmous radius which to me doesn't sound really realistic, so my suggestion is, change the sound made to different weapons in a sense that the smaller weapons that require a really short distance to kill like knifes for example make almost no sound at all while blunt weapons make a little more and so it goes or maybe enable a stealth kill for some of the weapons ( Maybe adding a skill for stealth kills). This should greatly improve the game for the kind of people that like to be sneaky and nimble like me

Thank you for your attention !
Oh and I apologize for any mistakes regarding the grammar and writing hahaha English is not my first language,

Zombies sometimes change 3d model to exactly replicate the players skin and equiped weapon for a split second.

I like your recent medical editions in build 30. I have more dangers to watch out for and finally a reason to loot bathrooms and medical places (which before was largely a waste of time). I did still notice a glaring omission though. Although bandages get dirty and need to be changed I can still use any zombie's clothes to make bandages. It stands to reason a zombie's clothing would be among the worse things you can make bandages out of. I suggest adding a dirty state to clothing and flagging all zombies as automatically having dirty clothes. Dirty clothing would produce dirty rags and like rags you could clean clothes with water. Some clothing you find could be randomly dirty too, perhaps the stuff in garbage cans or washing machines?

If you wanted to get complex you could make your clothes get dirty over time or dirty from fights but I think it's unnecessary, not worth the work and possibly a bit too "The Sims". A binary flag would be sufficient rather than a timer on how long you can use clothes. Getting worn out would probably be better use for a timer than dirty anyway as there is little reason to look for clothes now.

Anyway It's just really weird to make safe bandages from disease ridden zombie clothes. Adding any more depth would be a bonus but it's not important.

This is a simple mod to censor the blood and gore in PZ. I figured I can't be the only one who needs this so here it is!

NOTE: This does NOT put any savefiles or mods to danger. This is just a texturepack which means that it does not remove any blood sprites, it makes them transparent. This does not reduce lag in any way.

    Features
    Full censor
    - Takes away all gore
    - Gibs, splatter and bloody textures already existent in the map

    Partial censor
    - Takes away the worst gore
    - Doesn't delete gibs
    - Leaves textures in the map and low visibility splatters from zombie kills
    How to install
    Windows
    1. Unzip the tiles.zip
    2. Press "Start" and search "run"
    3. Open the program and write %appdata%
    4. Press Steam/steamapps/common/ProjectZomboid/media/texturepacks
    5. Make a backup of the pre-existing tiles.pack (Its needed to uninstall without steam)
    6. Put in the modded tiles.pack and exit the window

My character spins in circles A LOT and is constantly scanning around me in all 360 degrees. I stay in place spinning in circles sometimes without going anywhere. IRL that would make me terribly dizzy. We literally have a game IRL called 'Dizzy Bat' and I feel like I'm sometimes doing that in game with my nailed bat.

I suggest adding a 'Dizzy' moodle that decreases your accuracy, vision, and movement (however this one might be hard to do) if you spin for too long or too quickly.

This could also be used for sick/wounded characters. If explosives are ever added it could also be used for the effects of a nearby blast (add in deafness as well).

    Hey guys.

I've made a mod that allows use of any of the traits on any of the occupations during character creation. This includes the three professional traits (Night Owl, Desensitized, and Axe Man) and all the green positive and red negative traits that you normally need to balance with each other.

Furthermore, I've added back all the traits that were previously removed from the game. These six removed traits are Brooding, Marksman, Hardened Drinker, Light Drinker, Patient, and Short Tempered. Enjoy being able to use these traits once again!

Once you have installed the mod, enabled it, created your character, and saved your game, you no longer need the mod. You can delete it if you wish, and your save file will still have your character with all of the traits you have selected. Obviously, you can keep it in your mods but you don't need to run it every time to have your save file with modified traits. They will stay with that character until that character dies.

My mod should work alongside the Cheat Menu mod found here: http://theindiestone.com/forums/index.php/topic/14283-cheat-menu-v16/
Combine these two mods to allow for thorough mod testing, learning of game mechanics, or just cheatin'. You could also play using the sandbox to allow for extremely tailored gameplay.

Works on the latest build, v31.13

Q: Can I cheat online with this?
    A: No.

Q: Will this work on a build older than 31?
A: No. Build 31 completely changed the way that occupations and traits work, and also added a ton of new traits.

Q: Will your old version still work on the newer builds?
A: No, for the same reasons stated above.

My idea is that you should be able to catch and eat bugs, Bugs are very high in protein and could be caught pretty easily. Plus they could be used as bait just like worms are.

1.)  Foraging around a campfire could give you moths and other insects that are attracted to light

2,) Foraging through the trees should give you insects too.. You can eat a few types of snails if you cook them first.

3.) Leaving out some kind of trap that catches spiders, grasshoppers and mantises (not sure how to spell that)

4.) Being able to find bees and steal their honey! but of course they can sting you.

A lot of bugs are good for you and I think this would add much more to the Foraging skill..Plus it would make sense that you can't find berries in every part of the woods.

Also this could bring on a new bug phobia trait that means your character will not be able to forage for bugs as they are too afraid.. and maybe they could panic in areas that bugs might be e.g. trees and areas with cobwebs (if they are added)...

Of course i'm just brain storming, what do you think?

Dragonbahn reacted to Suomiboi in Vitamin deficiency
I've been thinking about this for a while and I've been devided about it myself for quite some time, but I do think this requires a thought.

Basically we now have a hunger and thirst, but no way of stopping people from eating chips for the rest of the apocalypse, even though everyone knows that you can't do that. I remember RJ saying something about increasing boredom if you eat the same ingredient a long time in a row, but I don't think it really solves it fully.

What I'm suggesting is that there'd be added a single item, either named nutritions or vitamins, that'd simulate all of the main nutrients and vitamins that a body needs. For simplicitys sake I'd keep it at a single thing rather than devide it to different vitamins, nutrients, proteins etc.

When you get deprived the symptoms are quite easy to simulate with mechanics of which many are already in and some could be added with not that much of an effort. Here are some of the the main symptoms of vitamin, iron and other general nutrient deficiency and there represantation in game:
Fatigue (already implemented) Shortness of breath (fatigue simulates this well enough) Dizziness (when fainting from loss of sleep comes, this feature could go along nicely) Pale or yellowish skin (not necessary but could help you realize what's going on if there wasn't a separate moodle) Irregular heartbeats (fatigue and dizziness represents this quite well and we already have the heartbeat sounds) Weight loss (loss of strenght and faster fatigue already implemented and eating non nutritious foods wouldn't reduce hunger anymore) Numbness or tingling in your hands and feet (not needed to simulate) Muscle weakness (implemented, strength) Personality changes (there are traits for this and it's planned) Unsteady movements (not necessary or could take more time in all actions) Mental confusion or forgetfulness (probably the hardest to implement, but could go with personality changes) Lower immunity against disease (could quite easily be implemented as a grown chance to get sick, similar to rain. And no let's not go to "rain doesn't get you sick" There are topics about that.) Insomnia (if sleeping gets overhauled at some point this could be added. It can be added without it too, but it would work as a buff rather than a debuff and it'd sort of defeat its purpose) Hypersomnia (easy to implement, just get tired faster) Now that list seems quite dreadful, but these symptoms would be easily avoided without micromanagement if you just eat good food and/or vitamins, which are already in. The symptoms take about a month to kick in so you'll have plenty of time to counter them.

The ingame representation could either be left to the player to figure out, be a separate moodle or simulated with the yellowish character skin. (Could you maybe just get away with adding a yellow filter on the textures?)

If we'd go a step further, you could use the system that RJ talked about to reduce the amount of vitamin buff you get from a single food item if you only eat that ie. simulating rabbit starvation and the likes.

TL;DR: If you don't eat good food or vitamins for a month or so, you start to get weaker and ultimately pass out and maybe even starve to death if you go for long enough.

    Here's the RJ's post I'm referring to.
