I remember reading about the random vehicle accidents you could come accross? Is this a type of zone as well, don't see it on the list.
Cheers

Average around 30fps on the vanilla map, with small 1-2 second freezes where my frames drop to 5 or so.
On custom map with alot of buildings its still quite bad, frames are around 15-30 and it crashes when i go near lots of apartment blocks clustered together.

I changed that already, it's no longer concrete

Is the custom map available on Steam Workshop?
No its not released at all yet

Performance has improved around the original map, Though playing on my custom map when i drive near dense urban areas with large apartments of multiple levels the game crashes every time, I know there is nothing like it in the vanilla map however. Is there a crash log generated somewhere? I will upload it for you if requested.
Probably worth noting it does not crash in the stable branch when running around the same area.

I'm working on scaling the original size down to be more realistic to finish. Don't worry it will still be bigger than any other city in the game right now, I'll try to get a an update out in the next few weeks

Ye, being able to put the key without it was a bug i just fixed
Basically: click the key icon to put the key in ignition (icon turn green), click again to remove it.
We're currently thinking of finding a better way to do it, we're open to suggestion!
Why not just have an actual slot for the key on the dashboard, when you click it the key appears (Inserts) it would also give a quick visualization if a car has a key or not and is fairly obvious to new players.
Here is a very quick Photoshop i did using Shinjitsu's Screenshot, you get the idea.
Perhaps you could have the graphic change when a car has been hot wired/broken ignition etc

Awesome thank you

Is there a TileZed/Tile Definitions update from the recent build? or is the one on the link for this topic the most current?
Thanks.
+1 to this, there current one is missing certain things as below you can see canscrap, forcelocked and material2 are listed as "unknown"
Can we have the new ones please?

It might be in either the vehicle build or the IWBUMS then, as i definitely remember them being solid at the train yard.
I'm currently working on making a door indestructible so i will let you know if i can get it working, We do need a need a new tile properties file as there is some things missing that appear under "unknown"

The thing is, you can spawn vehicles on your custom map, you just can't make custom vehicle spawning zone for now (like spawn only taxi somewhere, etc.)
But you can do a zone (minimum 4x3) with parkingstall as type and you'll be good.
Default will spawn almost every car in average condition, change it's name to "bad", "medium", "good", "spiffo" etc to spawn other cars: this is what I need to bring over LUA
Do you have the complete list of names and what are the names for the traffic jams and accidents please?
Thanks

On the latest build the Angled hill tiles are now solid, also you could easily enough make a fence or wall tile that is indestructible so people can't sledge into the bunker as I'm fairly sure there is an option in the tile definitions to do it.

Yes I made them, used gimp for all of the customization and recoloring.
Don't suppose you made tile definitions for all of these?
-
I could, but not sure how that would make any sense as where would you put stuff.
-
Would like to test the vehicles on a custom map but it seems the object "zones" have changed in the editor. Would it be to much to ask for a list of the new zones?. They used to be goodvehicles, burntvehicles etc but they don't spawn anymore.
I'm not sure where to find the new ones in the game files

It looks good. Based on a video that was posted in another thread, I think the correlation between what is on the pallet vs. what is shown might need some work. But the idea is sound and adds a lot to the game.
Sadly the game doesn't work like that currently. The best you could do is create different ones. E.g. food ones, tool ones, guns etc and have them in appropriate areas.

I thought id put this here just as a suggestion as well. I made these for my map but i think they make certain storage areas alot better than just piles of wooden crates. This is a supermarket for Eg.
These pallets appear full when they have loot on them and empty when no loot just like normal store shelves, It wouldn't take much to implement and its only a small idea but it looks alot nicer and more immersive than a huge pile of huge wooden crates
Hopefully something similar can be done for the vanilla map.

Here is another quick screenshot, in the back of a supermarket with the pallets.
And no i didn't make the forklift tiles, They are the same ones hydrocraft uses but just made into a tile and solid and no you can't drive it haha.

They are from the Spriters Resource. Those sets (sorry forgot the name of set) have a lot of good sets for maps. Best of luck converting them!
On a side note could you ever make a Pet Shop building with the room tag of "PetStore"? I have loot spawn for it but no map makers have added it. It would be great if you could make one with that room tag.
Ah ok cheers, i will check it out.
I'm pretty sure i saw a pet shop in the community building pack somewhere, i can add one eventually but the map is still a way off from release.

These are brilliant, ill work these into my Union City Map when i need these sorts of buildings.
Cheers

Hey guys,
Who drew the sprites for the forklift and scissor lift? I would like to turn them into tiles and use them in my map for warehouses and factorys if you don't mind hydro
Or were they sourced elsewhere?

There you go. 10 or so buildings in there arent mine, a couple of them being a large condo and survival home. Now for the ones that are mine its about 50 or so furnished home and a couple stores.Have you still got these? This link isn't working and id like to take a look at these.
