    The protection values displayed for the neck on leather coats are either missing or incorrect.
     
    You can see on the picture that the neck ("cou") protection from the coat isn't taken into account since it's clearly bellow what it should be with only that coat (19%/48% in the protection screen, whereas the "inspect" pannel for the coat shows 26%/52%).
     
    The neck seems to be the only part of the clothe that's affected.

    Skill books save progress, recipe books don't. However, recipe books are much quicker to read so its not generally an issue. Not sure what might have happened in your game to cause you to go back to 0% but it should save your progress
     
    Edit: had a thought. Do you mean the pages read went to 0 or the progress bar sent to 0? The progress bar resets to 0 but fills faster if you have already read some pages. If you've read half the book then put it down, when you start again the progress bar is 0 but will now fill twice as fast.

    I just bought the game, and started a new game and after a while the game gives this error (open attached document)
     
    What happens?
    My game crashes if I approach a specific truck, specifically a black ban. It happened when I tried to open the ban without having the key, I just wanted to know if the door was open.
    When does this happen?
    this happens when the ban enters in my range of vision
    Exact steps to reproduce?
    i go to the black truck (not too close or it will always crash)
    i point in the direction of the truck.

    dont crash every time but if you approach it gets stuck and never responds again, textures will also stop loading. If you point the other way and the truck does not appear in your vision the game seems to "fix" itself, you can continue playing but after some time similar errors will appear.

    Hey guys, Paw Low here. So, i don't know if this has been reported before but i was only able to notice yesterday. Within the 41 branch.

    If you keep sprinting and keep slowly tapping the aim control (ctrl) in the direction you're going at the same time, you can go through any horde size untouched, you can pass zombie walls with no problems and you'll never trip. Zombies hate him, become u n s t o p p a b l e.
     
    Anyways, jokes aside. I think it's linked to some sort of animation cancel/trigger. Only found out after trying some sprinting+melee combos that looks nice but totally inefficient lol.

    Yep, i do i 3 times here, one without going thru the zombies. This is apocalypse settings, no mod influencing btw. You can do it as long as you can sprint. works on small amounts of trees too.

    Something I'd love to see and think would be really useful is 'cool bags' (insulated refrigerator bags like school lunchboxes!) that could be used to transport fridge and freezer food and would allow it to stay refrigerated whilst in the bag (or it loses its refrigerated/frozen value at a much slower rate than if the item were in a normal bag/inventory.  This would be especially useful to move fridge food that is no longer 'fresh' as I've had instances where I have traveled somewhere and the food has rotted on the way There could be a few different types (and capacities!) too which could be fun such as previously mentioned school lunchbox (could be found in the primary schools etc which would be small) a regular sized cool bag designed for camping perhaps could be found in places like self storage, then you could have large supermarket cool bags with a big capacity that you could find in big supermarkets or something like that.  Just my suggestion here but I'd love to see something like this implemented at some point!!
     
    p.s - pls add more symbols to paint on signs (or is possible text you can write yourself!)

    Big Seat type Heavy Duty cant be put into trucks. Havent tried vans. Even took the door off to see if it would work. The task is white (not red) and all listed prerequisites are met, such as mechanics skill level etc.

    When you are doing the action (after you clicked on it), it's written on the item in your inventory until the action is done.

    Hello everyone!
    Project Zomboid is one of the most atmospheric games I know. The 41st build has become even more atmospheric, beautiful and realistic, it is being refined and this can not but please.
    The other day I was playing The Long Dark and OMG! These sounds of inventory, when you have something behind you clanking or gurgling, very much immerse you in the game!
    Or take another game, DayZ, in which you can hear a rifle dangling from your belt, behind you. This also immerses you in the game.
    Would PZ be prevented from doing something like this?

    It seems to me that to hear the soft rattle of your double-barrelled shotgun behind your back, while the character runs lightly across the field in the night, would be much more atmospheric than to hear the simple "crunch crunch" of the grass under your feet ;D

    It is definitely not very important, and it may be difficult to implement (and even more so to synchronize between players), but something tells me that exactly what was missing in the game.
    Maybe the developers have already thought about this and they have an exact answer? Or has someone already created a topic similar to this one?

    Since the last update, I've noticed that menus block all other shortcut keys. For example. if I am in the mechanic menu, I can't open the health panel with H (it just does nothing). This behaviour i copied by the crafting menu, but the health panel (and all the other menus in that panel) work fine.
    I assume it's got something to do with this (but i'm not sure, as I don't exactly know what this all means)
    -Added UIElement:onKeyPress(), onKeyRepeat() and onKeyRelease() methods so top-level UIElements can intercept keypresses without having to use events such as Events.OnKeyPressed or Events.OnCustomUIKey.

    Hello again,
    I've compiled a short list of bugs, all of which persist since [41.37].
     
    1) When crafting food items, and add some components, then consume some of it and then add some more components, the values are added to the "pre-consumption" hunger values (same goes for the unhappiness value). Example: create a 40 hunger food item (i.e. fruit salad, etc) - consume half of it, results in 20 hunger food item - adding 10 more food component results in 50 hunger crafted item  (instead of the "correct" 30 hunger value item)
    2 ) Moving items between bags (i.e from the secondary bag to the backpack) makes you unable to move until the transfer is complete (if you were standing still). It works just fine if you were already moving when the transfer begun.
    3) "Roasting pan" weighs more when it is empty (1.3) than when it is filled/cooked with food (1.2)
    4) Trowel is not "belt-able" (like hand fork is)
    5) Charcoal BBQ cannot be "turned-off"

    Hi. I would like to make suggestions that may make the herbalist perk even more useful, by opening up towards farming and even brewing. This helps the late-game and also anyone that's able to successfully flee town, even multiplayer, where medicine and seeds may be scarce. This lets foraging branch towards cooking, farming, and natural alternatives to medicine. Something you can look forward to at the high end of the foraging tree. Here are my suggestions, now that I've explained why they may be nice or necessary.
     
    Add flowers or herbs that can be foraged for making medicinal teas. They are not as good as the drugs themselves, but provide a moderate alternative that with enough successive doses, could relieve moodles. This can be balanced by having recipes that call for more than one or a variety, or by making them harder to find. Chamomile, Valerian Root, Hibiscus, etc. can be brewed to stave off anxiety, unhappiness, or to cause drowsiness.
      Add wild seeds that can be obtained from foraging to start farming crops from scratch. Could add interesting alternatives to the typical farm, such as wild onions, carrots, wild cherries and their seeds, barley, edible acorns, and more.

    I can confirm that plumbed sinks sometimes stop working in 41.41. I have a setup like this. I noticed the sinks would only fill bottles / pots to a very small amount even though the barrels are full. This may have been during a rainstorm, I'm not sure. Reloading the game seems to fix it.
     
    ALSO: Maybe this is a clue. Sometimes the water coming through the sink will be tainted. I see nowhere in IWBUMS patch log that sinks stopped cleaning rain water. Maybe the sink is drawing from a puddle.

    Based at Isolated Home in muldraugh. The Sink is in the spot of the original bathroom sink though I used the kitchen sink originally and now, the neighbours kitchen sink because I broke the original to see if replacing it would fix it before.

    It will be no damage to anything if you turn off the engine but still can move on if your speed enough.
    This can be used to cross hordes at high speed without damage and stop your car immediately.

    Something never rotten at raw won't be rotten even after cooked. That doesn't make sense.

    The church pews and several other pieces of furniture in the rosewood courthouse (Specifically the more south courtroom) are unable to be disassembled, the context option simply does not appear.  Tested on build 40 and again on 41, same result. 
    They're very valuable for carpentry XP so them being impossible to destroy like that is a tad disappointing.

    what i think he means with the first issue, is that when using to rotary wheel to zoom in/out you have to reset the right stick's position to neutral, then move it outwards again in order for your character to enter the attack stance, holding a direction immediately after using the wheel will result in your character not being able to attack until you reset your stick (i hope i'm making sense) not sure if that's a bug or intended, but i've noticed this playing with controller as well.
