So sort of like the Details information we have when pz updates and can click on the bottom right of the screen.
Could we get a box that would load up when first joining a server (with a way to read it afterwords in case of updates/changes?) (Maybe tab support for different languages etc.)
This way servers could post all the rules and such in a box so when people join for the first time they have a chance to read the rules. (It could be set to not open again after they go through it or click a button.) Perhaps let the hosts be able to do an update to have it show the rules again.
It would work much better in some cases than the motd at server join. Not everyone might be looking at it and all.

I continue to work on the map but I am dedicated to finishing the areas of forest and vegetation, it is hard work but it is necessary to continue building the towns of the map and the main city, everyday life has me busy and I can not spend all my time at Map, I hope you understand me. Hey all. Simmering in the background the fundaments of our vehicles and animation branches are being tied closer together, Martin’s car and truck models continue to pop into the communal directory to surprise/delight, and the map continues to expand. And while all those cogs and gears are whirring, the following bizness is occurring:
BUILD 37
Build 37 should be out this week, it’s content-locked but we’re also having a real bug purge at the moment – and are dead set on getting a clean version out for our upcoming bigger features to then build on.
This is extremely boring and frustrating (we know) but we’ve had a bunch of persistent bugs in the main game build for a while now and they needed attending to. It also does feel good to have put some regular villains to the sword, all of whom have been really tough to track and duplicate.
As such, much as it all sounds like a terrifying cheese dream, we think that bugs like saucepan rain, self-opening de-synced co-op curtains and windows, several server crashes and a myriad of gamepad/split-screen eccentricities have been fixed in the next IWBUMS public beta build.
Additionally, while fixing the persistent black screen flicker you experience in MP when another player wakes up or falls asleep, we also used the opportunity to fix up some sleep mode logic requested by servers that prefer to keep player-sleep active – meaning that players can now wake up independently of each other, wake up if they press the move keys and have a visible sleep clock. This may well need some more polish, but we’re intrigued to see how the system fares online.
NU-TOOLS
The maps and annotated maps of Build 37 were made possible by a tool made by TurboTuTone – and in amongst his current devices work in the main game CartoZed has now been revamped.
We hope its additions will be of a benefit to our map makers, and to aid the creation of in-game maps for the many community-created custom maps that PZ players survive on.
It’s now easier to use, scroll and pan, allow mouse selection of specific areas and can be used with user maps. So, for example, here’s a top-down of some of Xeonyx’s New Denver.
Meanwhile CartoZed will also now export an isometric version showing cells of 300×300 tiles, should you crave your own downloadable chunk of the overall PZ map or your own map creation.
Turbo has also updated ItemZed to version 1.2 using feedback from the modders who’ve picked up its mantle, which can be found here.
BUILDING HERO
A quick shout out to the redoubtable Blackbeard06 who has gone about the laborious task of polishing up, fixing up and categorizing hundreds of user-created buildings that were left with errors after 2x sprites became part of the main game. He’s clearly put a lot of work in, and this means that there are now even more potential new industries and abodes to be added to user maps.
REDBOID REFORGED
There seems to be a bit of a spurt of new PZ servers appearing at the moment (and if you’d like yours to get some spotlight then please get in touch) but just a brief mention for that hoary old stalwart Redboid – the server of the PZ subreddit. Now under new management and with a few rule changes amidst the familiar faces, it’s a major organ in the online contingent of PZ and it’s good to see it continue to flourish.
A BRIEF NOTE
In terms of general PZ output – we are listening, wanting to get the ‘good stuff’ out to you and are (hopefully) improving both behind the scenes and in terms of release frequency.
Our recent collaborations with General Arcade in the vehicles branch have shown us how fruitful it can be to have fresh faces working at our many different coalfaces, and as such are looking to expand our bank of coders with AAA or indie game dev experience.
We already have an iron or two in the fire, but if you have a good, established programming CV in the games industry and enjoy our game (and especially if you’re in NE England) then feel free to give us a shout.

Hi,
People have had this before, and I believe fixed it with these settings. It can take a bit longer to load the world as well. Make sure you have:
Map=Kentucky,Muldraugh, KY
or
Map=Kentucky
for the map (try top one first), since all lots are placed in that map folder, like the original AIZ.
in the server.ini also, you will need the workshop item ids on that line of all mods you are using. I have recommended people use
'-nosteam' and '-modfolders mods' since that is what worked for me.
There is a convo on the workshop thread that might help as well, related to this.
Let me know if that worked.

Description
Have you guys ever found the map to be rather small in its current state? That the difficulty was static regardless of which town you were in? An overarching story that most of you will never hear all of? Or maybe none of that and are just seeing a failed pitch?
Look no further as
This map will be quadruple (I don't even know anymore) the size of the original map. Cities are filled with locations to loot but have plenty of zombies to kill you A story will be accompanying the map that will begin a few minutes after the game starts. The pitch has not failed if you've read this far
Map Size
As I said its planned to be four times the size of the original map. So bear with me on trying to get it finished, because there is no one else who wants to finish this more than I do. The map is currently at 77 cells by 42 cells and about a third of that is covered in water. You're probably wondering why so big. Well a large reason is to cater to several groups and to make this one of the maps for multiplayer. Now right now yes the map might be a bit too large to traverse by foot but I'm planning around vehicles so that my map doesn't gather dust once they're released.
Background
This map is entirely based off of a map I made. The idea was to base it off my writings and I will be using some portions in there. However the narrative will always be changing and will be revolving around many of the POI's I'll be adding in; one of which is already added in the map. There are several landmasses with the three being connected by bridges, for now. There are many more islands that are not connected and will be hard to reach but will be populated nonetheless.
Travelling
One thing I wanted to do was make players feel challenged. By this I don't mean create artificial challenges that the player should aim for but rather create rewards for players who are willing to go the extra mile to get valuable loot in dangerous areas. The story will revolve around going to key places over time until you reach the end which will, hopefully, give you some satisfaction and a cool place to call home.
The Story
You like the many before you are people that have found this new land in the midst of disaster. Survival is your goal in this new world where an unknown force seems keen on pressing your luck. Zombies won't be making your life any easier so you better reach the Red Fortress quick.
Conclusion
With all that wrapped up I'd like to thank you all for taking the time to read what I have. The overall scope of the map is large and i've seen mods of a higher caliber and smaller scopes fail and come to a standstill so lets hope that does not happen and that I can make the same amount of progress regularly. if you use my map in any map packs or content packs please ask first! Likely I will not say no but I'll probably discourage you from using it as this map is intended to be standalone. Any updates I make could cause problems for your map pack because of the sheer size of the map that I am aiming for and I don't want people hounding me for problems that could be caused by your map pack.

I've managed to search the forums of every player made building and assembled them all into one archive. In addition I have created this forum post that organizes all the buildings to make searching very fast. (link down below) This would hopefully help mappers easily find and use buildings to save some time. As I was looking at each players contributions about 35% had dead links, so I could not get all of them. Also if the buildings required custom tiles I did not include them as there were no working links.

that map is so adorable and small i love it Ill totally take notes from it although my map is going to be way way bigger and requires bigger cities and cultural differences and all that so its gonna be much tougher
