Map Specific Problems

Rathlord

Question

Please post here for map specific bugs like invisible walls, glitches, pathing problems, etc. Thanks everyone! Try to post screenshots in spoilers or videos whenever possible.

Map-specific issues:

Hello there,

this thread is the place to post all your map-related problems (missing walls, wrong window placement, kitchens without sinks, etc...).

Please follow these guidelines when reporting a problem:

  • Download the Coordinate-Viewer and place the .lua file in your /media/lua folder. (The viewer can be de-/activated ingame by pressing P)
  • When you find a problem in the game, take a screenshot that includes the coordinates of the map object.
  • Please wrap any screenshots you post in "thumbnail" tags.
  • Make sure to describe the problem as closely as possible.
  • Add the version of Project Zomboid in which you encountered the problem. (Important!)
Cheers,

RoboMat

Example:

Version: 2.9.9.10

Description: Shack is missing floor tiles.

[build 21 and 23]

There are at least 3 trees next to this house that are built on the second story. (should be light colored trees clustered in the center of the link)

As far as I've tested, they can only be chopped down by crafting a second story to reach them.

I don't know, if the two bugs are known, but I will report them nevertheless.

Both are at the Mc Coy Logging Company.

First one: The Wall-Overlay of the room covered also the doorframe.

screenshot_14-02-2014_17-11-32.png

The second one is behind the east-side building of the two buildings in the north.

There is a crate in the air behind the building.

Thanks everyone :)  These should be fixed now.

Kurruk: some of those overlapping issues is due the way 2d isometric works; if something is small enough that it shouldn't impede your progress through a tile, there will unfortunately be some of those effects.

Sheet ropes that don't work on top of slanted roofs is more of a "it's not a feature yet" thing ;)

Thanks all, these should be fixed in the next build :)

Btw, it might be faster for all involved to indicate the location of a building on Blindcoder's map, if there's nothing that needs a specific screenshot. That way, nothing needs to be uploaded on your part and it's easy for me to zoom out to find the location. :)

Hi, theres a drawer standing outside of bathroom behind this house, both in build 23 and 25.

Map refference

Also , using sheet rope at the window next to the roof of the lower building, and then climbing down using the sheet rope results in going through the roof and landing in a book shelf instead of landing on the roof of the building

Hi, I dunno if this is the right place to post it, but...

I'm finding differences between the PZ map (http://pzmap.crash-override.net/?#) and my game.

I'm running 2.9.9.17, atm I'm at the railyard south of Muldraugh and it seems completely different from this:

http://pzmap.crash-override.net/?#0.5597586398278892,0.24628686054508706,22.186111067404358

P.S. Btw I can't do screenshots of my game -.-

The railyard is actually East of Muldraugh and if it looks different its because you are playing a rather outdated version of PZ, i believe the latest public build is .23 and the latest test build is .25, more map and buildings get added almost every update.

Lol that's true, I'm updating right now.

Ty

P.S. How can I see my build number? I can only see my version, that seems to be up to date.

Should be visible in the main menu - bottom right corner. Also might go into the installation folder and see the SVNRevision.txt file where it should be >951 (I think) for .23 and >960 for .25, just don't quote me on that one.

The main menu only shows 2.9.9.17

I can't find "SVNRevision.txt" in my installation folder.
