    Okay were almost ready for our first release. I'm making sure every house has light switches (yeah, it was a problem) and finding the last few invisible walls and such. I've also expanded the map out into a 3x3 to start making our way towards buildings out of town. Oh and also room definitions for loot and eventually NPC's but that's in tandem with the lights.

    Dreadwood is being updated with a new layout! I apologize for the old map, but due to complications it's unworkable right now. Keep an eye out for updates. 
     
    Care to take a look at the large upper class houses in the suburban side of town? Beware of the dead who inhabit the once snobby area. Or perhaps you'll enjoy a stay at a five star hotel in the city? It may be your only safety in a city swamped in the dead. Those who get away from the population will find dangerous abandoned buildings, winding trails, and  trailer park homes. Wherever you so choose to stay..

    Map is complete (minus buildings and such.)
     
        There are placeholder tiles for where buildings will be placed. The map size is 6000px x 6000px. It's a huge map.Buildings and whatnot are what's left (basically everything) to make it a real fun map to get immersed in!!

    I am currently constructing the city of Cherno, with the help of Maklane, I have a couple buildings to get started, while making my own buildings for the world. If I do use other members buildings I will be sure to credit those as well. Hopefully won't take too long and I will post pictures of the progress. Thank y'all for visiting!

    Getting more buildings created, been a bit busy with life, but still building on my off days and whenever I have a chance to work on them. Learned a bit about custom tiles, might have my own tiles made for the castles, from some examples I've seen online. Also will be making cracked, peeled walls, a more run down look for Chernarus. New roof tiles and so on. dead body tiles and other miscellaneous tiles for atmosphere.

    Project Chernaurus will be suspended until further notice. (Due to a busy work schedule). I am very happy with the work I've been putting in to make it the best fun map to play on so hopefully I'll get back to it and get it up and running so all can enjoy in the near future. I've been out a while and haven't really updated anything but before the busy weeks I finished placing buildings in Chernogorsk and most of the map is finished. I had some random close calls with TILEZED almost failing and causing memory issues. I guess the map has so many nooks and crannies to explore which made it bigger and more memory intensive but all that is really left is touch ups and things of that nature. So even though I've finished all the easy work now is where the HARD WORK begins and where I will leave it for the time being until I have more time to myself and my hobby as opposed to WORK, FAMILY and SCHOOL. I'm sorry about the bad news!!
    I will be out of contact with this forum for a while, but will randomly visit the website whenever I have a chance!! Again so sorry for the news!!     Looks pretty darn good for a first try. Roofs can be a bit tricky, just play around with them and see what works.

    So I've been seeing some of the recent maps being made and it motivated me to make this huge map. Still don't really know the dimensions or if it will even turn out right in the map editor when done. It's the map based on the game Arma II or DAYZ standalone. Still, since you can't really use your own maps in game I guess it's pointless until that day comes. Also just waiting until we get the ability to make curved roads and that sort of thing but during this time I'd thought I'd show what the potential may be. Hopefully if things do go in that direction I'd probably start from scratch. LOL. Anyways just wanted to show this and if anyone could help me out with dimensions and pixels and how big roads should be compared to dirt roads and building sizes and so forth. I'd appreciate some tips. Will be making some cool buildings once I get the hang of the map editor, hopefully.

    This map is HUGE. updated the map a bit today. A bit more of touching up the Main and Veg maps with dense forests, building placeholder and whatnot.

    Here I will be showing some new items,weapons,recipes and various other stuff created for my Resident Evil Map

    The plan is to add as many features and items to truly live out a Resident Evil experience within Project Zomboid for both multiplayer and single player, and for custom scenes/scenarios with NPCs. Recreate old and create new stories around Raccoon City with friends and family! (Rated R for Raccoon)

    Mod Features

     Readme Resident Evil Mod v.1By JaperForum Thread: http://theindiestone.com/forums/index.php/topic/5926-resident-evil-mod/ This mod is designed for my Resident Evil Map Project but will work fully on vanilla PZ and with any other communitymade maps. Resident Evil Map Project: http://theindiestone.com/forums/index.php/topic/4822-resident-evil-biohazard-map-project/ Highly advised to read Mod Features.txt before starting. Place Resident Evil Mod folder into C:\Users\NAME\Zomboid\mods\ folder, start up PZ, click mods and enableResident Evil Mod, restart game and start a new game to play mod. Loot spawns are not fully tested, for additional spawns delete ResidentEvilMod_Distribution fromResident Evil Mod\Resident Evil Mod\media\lua and replace it with ResidentEvilMod_Distribution X2 from the optional files folder. I suggest you use the x2 Distribution for first time using the mod so you can explore the features easier. Place ResidentEvilMod_Cheat.lua into Resident Evil Mod\media\lua folder to spawn with some of the mods items. Please report any bugs and suggestions on the forum thread so I can fix and improve the mod.
     
     
    Currently Available Features
     
     
    Reloading Tool - Some may remember this from RE3, you find various types of gunpowder and using the reloading tool you can create ammo for your weapons
     
    Herbs - Everyone has always wondered how the herbs in RE were administered to the body, and now you can do just that in PZ! Featuring red, green and blue herbs, which can be combined together to create more potent effects, they cover all your needs, from healing wounds to curing food poisoning or the cold

    Strains Of Virus - Well the outbreak had to happen somehow didn't it? But with all these already infected zombies running around, what is the use for a vial of the T-Virus? Well one use is to drink it to see what it tastes like, another is to throw it at your friend in MP and see how long it takes him to turn, entirely your decision. But when there is one, there are many, also included is the G-Virus, the experimental strain that has unpredictable results. Will you consume it and become exceptionally strong, fast and posses regenerative abilities? Or will it consume you resulting in death? That is a risk some of you may be willing to take. Alternatively you could play it safe, and seek out the highly sought after Anti-Virus, perhaps one day it will save your life.
     
    Weapons - So far we have handgun variants for military factions, combat knives and a grenade launcher that shoots flame rounds (not advised to be fired indoors, results may vary)
     
    Professions - Enlist today in some of Raccoon's finest specially trained units
     
    Factions - Start off as a member of S.T.A.R.S., U.B.C.S. or U.S.S. Play as your favorite and have a three way battle on MP. Each faction starts off with their own pistol variant, combat knife, specific traits and a combat vest to hold extra ammo + weapons. Wage war between opposing factions or group together for a common goal.
     
    Planned Features
    Guns - Variations of the pistols found through out the games, including the S.T.A.R.S 9mm handgun , magnums, bowgun, machine gun and the grenade launcher with interchangeable rounds
     
    Appearance - To play the part, you must look the part. Uniforms for RPD, STARS, UBCS etc, and of course Wesker's stylish sunglasses

    Infected - If possible in the future I will add some of the most renown monsters from the series, from dogs to hunters to the feared Nemesis

    Your Suggestions - Any feature you can think of that would enhance the experience, feel free to request it or put some of your spare time in and help out on this project

    Hello everybody! I'm very new to the game (and by very new I mean I literaly bought the game within the last 24 hours, lol) and I thought I'd have a go at making a building because actually playing the game is just too nerve wracking for me right now.
     
    So here it is! It's a 2 bedroom, 1 bath single story home. Please let me know what you think of it and I would appreciate suggestions on how to make it better. (And also please let me know how it works in game - I'm not advanced enough yet to pop it in and test it myself.)

    I want to get some help on recreating the GTA 5 Map that is inspired by Los Angeles, and surrounding areas. 
     
    Since the layout and everything is already planned, we can have multiple people working on areas and combine our work.

    Check the above tutorial out ... It was written a while ago and the image links are broken, but it might be a reasonable start. I'll dig out the template files I had set up and share them here.

    Try either of these files in Paint dot net, it might give you a pointer on how to lay out tilesheets. (note I do not know how to make tilesets work for the new Zomboid - just managed to do it for previous versions - Thuztor is the man for that )

    Looks pretty good, but that's reaaaaaaally easy to do with Unity. What are you going  to do to differentiate yourself from competitors such as The Dead Linger which looks identical to your game, with the same goals, the same marketing, I'd wager the same engine (Unity by the looks of yours), almost identical graphics (did you use Unity store textures?). Games like Dead State (turnbased) or 7 Days to Die (block based crafting) at least try to differentiate themselves a little.
     
    I don't mean to be harsh, but this seems like another run of the mill zombie survival game jumping on the train while it's popular. That's a question you're going to get asked by both potential customers and media if you're serious about this thing, and in my opinion you're going to need a better answer than "It's going to be an ultimate survival experience." That's the same thing all of your competitors are claiming.
     
    Anyways, I really do wish you the best of luck- I always love seeing quality zombie survival games and I hope this will be one of them.
