OI! Your alllll wrong, that's my job.
Would be funny if basic level beds had a chance of collapsing while you slept. Would be much higher if you were overweight.

Fj45 got a reaction from CanadianWolvie in Some thoughts about armor
Seriously, read it, The Zombie Survival Guide will give you a great knowledge of modern zombie lore and is great, entertaining read.
Instead of trying to build third rate armor it is a better idea just to scavenge for clothes that are thick and sturdy. Things like: thick rain coats, boiler suits, riot gear, ski jackets, motorcycle leathers, turnout gear, trench coats or even just multiple layers of clothing. The problem with almost all of these is that they are hot, bulky, heavy and difficult to find.
There is an exception though....
I present to you..... the Gore-Tex jacket!
Water proof, tough, warm yet breathable, light, form fitting, easy to find and most importantly-bite proof.
(sauce, I have one)

Fj45 got a reaction from Sable in Some thoughts about armor
One thing I forgot to mention, certain armors, while highly impractical for looting would be perfect for safe house defense.
Turnout gear, sharkmail, motorcycle leathers, raincoats and other high strength, bite resistant clothing would be fine in defending a fixed position as sound, heat, weight and bulkiness would hardly matter.

Go for realism first and if that's too long just tone it back until it would work.

and once the power goes out...... and the water is turned off... then how do you plan to take a shower?..... generator may be strong enough to power an electric water heater..... but i wouldn't count on it....... even if it could, you planning to make up an old fashioned Water Closet shower, like they had way back when?....... you willing to risk that much water for a shower that could have been used to keep your food growing? priorities.

I wonder why multiplayer is the must have feature. To me it would be more of a "nice to have". But only to play coop with my friend. To be honest, in these type of games (survival). Other players are more like a gamebreaking thing to me. Thats not because im carebearing, but because most players turn out to be utterly stupid a******* (the Kind of people, kicking little children's sandcastles at the beach or stealing candy from babies).
Just look at already existing multiplayer survival sandbox games. Most of the players seem to only have the goal to ruin other peoples game. DayZ beeing the top notch where the only interaction between players consist of torture and murder 98% of the time.
So to me this doesn't seem like the Road to success.
