thank you. You should update your youtube channel. I finished off a bottle of wine and got bit playing PZ and rage quit.  I wanted to watch a "lets play" and looked at your channel but you only had like one video of PZ. you should make more. play like nobody is watching. you'll attract viewers and it'll snowball into something before you know what even happened.

  2. dammit im mad. (palindrome) what version am i supposed to play? I just want to play the latest version as buggy as it might be. I know vehicles have finally been merged with the game. but im confused as to what beta i need to keep up with. help me :(

It's friday and I had some wine. I just want to play some zomboid and find some in game wine too and play the most current version with a character thats as buzzed as me. why.png.2073ae59669f9b2c3f7b373977534645.png

I'm not sure but I think they're using the no-pass line because they already have it doing 90° as an existing art asset; I've never seen the single white line doing 90°. I do agree with you that it would look more appropriate as a white line, though. Or even a single yellow line. I'm not sure what it's supposed to be signifying; if it's 'fire parking' it should be red and if it's handicapped parking I think it should be blue. Large vehicle (like delivery tractor-trailers) parking would be yellow, I guess?

Edit: Speaking of 'appropriate', I think we need more road signs (especially with the sudden hard-right turns due to lack of actual curves). Signs like the cross or traffic light symbol for upcoming major intersection on highways and the curved arrow with the recommended speed for upcoming sudden turns.

Yea I died once already and almost died again last night. Arrow symbols on the road itself would be even better.

I only pray for a skate or a shit to go very fast around the map (my english is very bad sorry)

replace the "a" with "some" otherwise your comment kind of sounds like you're saying "I only pray for a skate or a poop to go very fast around the map. I'm not trying to be a dick, just giving some advice for future reference.

    RIP time-saving walking in singleplayer.

yea. Not happy that this was taken out. traveling to new denver was a pain in the ass already with the pointless stretch of forest that the creator decided to add. travel just takes too long between the different towns in general. it would be fine if there was more stuff in between different areas of the map. As far as the vehicle mod goes, I've never used it but I saw a video of it on the mod page and the driving mechanics just seemed too clunky and out of place. I've never wanted cars in PZ. Bikes would be great. I know I'm not a very patient person, but this is a real bummer man  :-(

not exactly "new stuff" but related... as there are so many new (? or only new for me after 2 years without PZ)  items even without mods... would it be possible to rename some items to make the searching/looking of inventorys "easier"?

Like searching for books it would be much more comfortible if all carpentry books would beginn with carpentry.. all cooking books with cooking etc.. at the moment some are under carpentry, some under advanced...

also items in boxes should be named after the item so they would be listet with the basic item in the box.. like nails + nails (fullbox) (both under N)  instead of nails + box of nails (b + n)

I know, not the best solution but browsing through long lists of items, it would really help to sort out the items you are looking for

    ---

but maybe it's not the right moment for this.. there would be lots of items to be renamed... but it would really help...

i want to expand on this a little. could we also change the category some items are labeled with in addition to adding new ones? just to give a few examples. yeast, vinegar and flour are categorized as "items" i think they should be in the "food" category. currently medical supplies are just labeled as "items" could a "first aid" or "medical" category be added? i could give more examples i just wanted to put the general idea  out there

I can already see people posting "WHY IS THE BLENDER NOT IMPLEMENTED YET YOU MARKED IT AS A MAYBE YOU IDIOTS STOP BEING LAZY AND ADD IT" lol

Once some features are definite yes for all the team though, an update of the planned features in the dedicated topic would be nice!

i know. you're right :(. if only we could all be civilized human beings. I really don't understand why everyone gets so upset at the pace of development. maybe it's because i play the iwbums version but there have been a lot of cool things added. Honestly i could care less about new animations or vehicles. i don't even want drivable cars in the game. they'd be nice for aesthetics and to get loot from, but I'd rather they just add bicycles to the game to make getting from place to place easier/faster. NPCs have potential i guess. what I really want is revamped zombie mechanics. things like migrating hordes that spawn at random and traverse the map like in my shitty MS paint pic. once you get just a little bit outside of the city you can just farm and never deal with zombies for the rest of the game. exploring is fun. but i think we need more threats/danger and larger in scope to make the game more challenging and interesting after you've established a base. when i'm chilling at my base i never worry. I want to be on edge at all times regardless of where I am.

It's less a secret, and more a continually evolving and commented-on Google Doc - so there's stuff on there that're big jobs, stuff that's smaller. Stuff we don't all agree on etc.

As such it'd be tricky to give a precise list as it's kinda organic really.

would it be possible to at least get a glimpse of the suggestions you guys are at least considering. i dont care if they get implemented or not, im just curious as to what the future could be. knowing what suggestions from this thread are actually being looked at seriously could also help us improve the suggestions we make. i think it would just help us know what is within the realm of possibility and give better insight into what the dev team thinks is even noteworthy. Also I just wanna see the list :P

    Hello!!!

yes in this build 35 they introduced the sleeping mods, so now it depends of where you sleep can make you feel some pain when you wake up, if you sleep on chairs and sofas etc.. you will get some bad sleeps, if you eat a lot and go to sleeps you will wake in the middle of the night with nightmares (panic, ansious) etc.    i just build a bed and always take some sleeping pills around 7 p.m. so when the clock its 22 and i go to sleep, it weaks at 6:00 a.m. :D  the pills take around 30 minutes to kick in and once they go into efect the longer you wait the longer you will sleep.

    see you around surviver :D

Is the true? I wasn't aware. I thought it was just random

some feedback on building as a newbie.

i was building my logs wall (for the first time around) here are some thoughts that kind of crossed my mind while doing it.

transporting the logs is a very time consuming task, so i quickly figured out that logs can be made into stacks for weight reduction, and that around 6 stacked logs could be placed inside big hiking bags, so if i used my primary for one big hiking bag, my secondary for another and my back i could transport a total of 18 logs, plus what i can carry in my main inventory,  which makes makes the trip good for 4 - 5 log walls, per trip.

First problem that i found is that i had a ton of sheet ropes, and very little ripped sheets, i kind of asumed that sheet ropes would be good for making the log staks but only rope can be used for it, and that is a very specific placed and not abundant item to find, i went around everywhere searching for rope until i had around 20.

Second problem i had is that the log wall doesn't use sheet rope but ripped sheets, so i had to go searching for still dressed corpses because i can't turn the sheet rope into ripped sheets xD,  only to find out that you have to be very carefull with the items that are present in your bags, or even in the floor near you, because building/crafing will take what ever is in them i ended up building the log walls with rope by mistake and using the only item that can be used to make log staks  :(   and tons of ripped sheets and sheet ropes.

It was because when you unstak the logs the rope remains in your primary inventory, so kind of have priority over ripped sheets that are in your bags or in the floor i think.

yea. I've accidentally used rope to build a log wall. It sucks. the build recipe using rope i think should  be removed completely. I mean who is really gonna use rope vs ripped sheets? also I think sheet rope should be a viable way to create stacks of logs. 4-8 sheet ropes should be the requirement to build the wall itself. I just dont see how 4 ripped up pieces of a shirt can hold up basically the strongest wall you can build in the game.(haven't messed around with metal walls so i dont know their strength) to expand further it would be more realistic if building a log wall required a sledge hammer, or shovel or something. logs wont just stand up on their own. or you could implement a "log wall frame" out of sturdy sticks. i dunno probably should have put this in the build 35 suggestions.

  11. this is in response to not being able to hop over 2nd story ledges with the "e" key or whatever key it is is there a way this could be put back in the game but with a different key assignment. I want to be able to jump out a window quickly and risk a busted leg if I'm in a room that a horde of zombies just busted the door down into

Hey, tell me if it happens again, really weird, first report I have of something like this... Any mods running?

this was a fairly long time ago. but i had just started playing zomboid after a long hiatus so I was playing on easy settings. weak zombies. I ran around a bar corner into a shadowed area. there was a single zombie I ran right into it and it instantly ate my face and I died. was really odd given that I've ran through entire hordes unscathed. it hasnt happened since but just thought Id share

  13. 229. Add abandoned NPC camps in the forests. they could be large and small, overrun by zombies or little ghost towns with dead bodies laying everywhere giving the assumption that they were raided. they could have a modest amount of tools food and weapons like the boarded up houses sometimes do. it would be cool if they were randomly distributed when starting a new game so that finding them would be an extra challenge. It would be even more cool if you could find them by using the radios and hearing them broadcast stuff and their general location. the whole random distribution thing would be cool if it was implemented with suggestion 225 too. finding a random neighborhood decimated by a crashed passenger jet would be pretty insane.

edit: or maybe after awhile you happen to come across a certain helicopter that didn't make it back ok.

So, as of one of the latest updates, houses now randomize with stuff like barricades, being burnt down, and having just dead bodies.

Here are a few ideas that I have to spice it up.

(1), Having a Suicide note go along with some dead bodies (particularly the ones with guns next to them)

(2), Bloody Hand prints on windows. (like it)

(3), Stuff written in blood on the wall (Example=God Help Us)

(4), Hung people (a little darker than the whiskey and bleach suicides but like it)

    (5), Banners in windows (Example=Help!)

(6), Holes in walls (form explosions, car wrecks, etc.)

(7), Blood pools (a little over the top i think)

(8), Gnawed on skeletons (could add half eaten corpses, arms and other appendages laying around the victim)

(9), Cracked windows (or windows with holes from gunshots in them, would make window weaker) (Bullet holes would be awesome)

(10), Warning/Awareness posters/signs(if they are associated with real danger)

Well, those are my ideas. tell me what you think, and thanks for reading.

I don't know if you've seen any Medieval show then you've seen how the cauterize wounds on that it's literally putting a heated blade on your wound.

I get where you're coming from, and I almost mentioned it in my post, but what we see on TV vs the correct procedure can be completely different. I'm not saying what you said wouldn't work because i dont know and i'm not gonna google it to try and prove you wrong. I jsut want to look at the procedure from the average person's point of view and think about if they could cauterize the wound effectively, which im sceptical of.  the average person might think they know how to do it, but when they actually do it they end up screwing themselves over because they've just given themselves another wound that's prone to infection.

    Parasitic Infection

Caused by eating bad meat. Animal meat could have a small chance of having it. Makes you feel drowsy all the time and also gives other symptoms of stomach bug

another symptom could be slowed movement, increased thirst due to dehydration.

    heres one I thought of

    RASH

caused by running for prolonged periods of time in the deep woods, causes minor pain at first but can spread quickly which would increase the pain level if not treated. high risk of infection if not covered with a sterile bandage. could add another item to the game "topical cream" to help treat it which could help with burns as well.
