I wouldn't say no to horses I work with horses IRL !

A few CONS though and for immersive game play to be more real they should be integrated with the horses::

Horses panic/are terrified by high pitches/loud noises.   Usually when riding a horse in the woods, they will be frightened if they see a human standing not making any noises this is because they see everything as being bigger then themselves. ( where i work, if we are in the woods on the trails doing our jobs and the master comes riding with clients, we have to start talking loud enough for the horses to know that we are there without frightening them.) horses always sleep standing as a safety measure to their survival. if they feel in danger during their sleep/rest they will run away. they eat pretty much any vegetable as a treat. but usually grass or hay especially hay So a loud horde, or lonely zombie, or you turn a corner with your horse and a bunch of zedz come at you. your horse will be constantly in panic mode and may not respond.collaborate to your commands. of course they would eventually get used to the zedz, if they survive long enough, and be desensitized or neutral panic. meaning they know they're in danger but they also know their master can command them through the danger.

    PROS:

most well-cared-for/well tamed horses are exceptionally caring towards people they trust. They have a lot of love and actually like to tease their human companions ! ex..:grabbing things that stick out of your pockets or your hat and trowing it away or running away with it without breaking the object). that would make them a great anti-depressor for the character. anti-boredom/sadness/etc etc travelling, no need to explain this one Evasion, hauling bags, pulling ex: a sled with stuff in it, or a small wagon etc etc warm bodied, in the winter whilst travelling, if your character is too cold he can always just lay forward hugging the horse for his body heat... etc, etc, etc

In the years that I have had pz I loved the setting but the world always seemed a bit static, I was wondering if it would at all be possible to have random animations for grass and trees blowing in the wind, Water, ect. Would they need 3D models or something? i'm not sure about the animation process. Also when animals are added it would be cool to see birds land around dead bodies and stuff of that sort.

You'll need to change the soundtrack to Early Access or Alpha or whatever it is in the options for it to use those oggs though.

I know animals, both neutral and predatory, will be added, but I've not seen horse travel mentioned anywhere. It's pretty common in some other zombie games, like Dead State. Kentucky's famous for its horses, and Churchill Downs is considered the horse capital of the world, after all.

Will we get horses to ride around for when cars are too noisy or we don't have the gasoline? A fast, low-maintenance transit method without the physical requirements of bike riding that's quieter and uses less resources than cars, but leaves you fairly exposed and adds the potential of your horse getting attacked by zombies too?

Hey and thanks for reaching out for the communities help !

Me, IMO, when I discovered PZ I needed information about basic survivalist, how to make fires, crafting, farming, how to hit with my weapon ( i swear I had no clue and got killed because all i knew was pushing )

ex: how to heal yourself, broken legs, bites, scratches, burns,....
Can a player go and edit it themselves? thanks !

I welcome, I wanted to bring up this question long ago
Plan - whether you to add to game alternative ways of production of energy? For example by means of a wind, water and the sun. I would like that players would have opportunity to get energy with the help of wind-driven generators, water-mills or solar batteries. Or even whenever possible, to build them.
I look forward to hearing from you
P.S. Forgive if it isn't similar to a question, and is one requirement more.

KorruptkSwades reacted to GigaCorp in Pathing needs to be toned down
This is straight up not true.  When I starting playing this game a few builds ago, if zombies was chasing you then you could run behind a house and the zombies would just keep running into the walls and get stuck, now they turn the corner and keep following.  Also, up until a few builds ago zombies would never use stairs and you could easily escape just running up a few flights of stairs and they would all get stuck at the bottom.  Not saying it changed very recently but pathing was changed from what it use to be and it's made zombies way too smart.  I would guess this change is probably the main source of all the complaints about difficultly in recent builds, since it use to be a helluva lot easier to lose zombies because their pathing was so bad.

One of my biggest problems with the current build is the insane zombie pathing.  It use to be zombies were completely stupid and would lose you if you simply turned a corner and they would keep running at the wall.  I understand why they wanted to improve it, but the current pathing basically has every zombie with an exact floorplan of all the buildings in his head and it's totally immersion breaking.

I like to play on the Drayton map which has tall buildings, some of the larger buildings are basically two buildings merged together, each with a ground-level staircase and linked by roof access.  I've destroyed one of the two staircases and had zombies who couldn't reach me directly anymore path all the way to other staircase, up 4 stories to the roof (bashing doors all the way) and back down 3 stories to reach me, it's utterly ridiculous.

Zombies have no reasoning ability, as such they can only go directly to what they can see/hear.  They have zero capacity to say to themselves "hey I can't get to this guy up in that second story, lets take the long way around and see if we can flank him by going up the other staircase to the roof".  They should go after you if they see you, but if they lose sight of you they should path to where you last were but then have no idea where to go from there, you know like reality.

Nice work! Well, higher danger, but it seems more food opportunities too. Fire sounds like a good idea.

5 days and 9 hours in. I've carved out a path to my woodland shack so that I can always find it.

It's in an area completely devoid of zeds, so while it is far away I can rest safely without fortifications, and also knowing any supplies I stash won't get camped on my a horde. I'm hoping I can build up my running skills nicely with large trecks to and from it. Having the outdoorsman perk is a requirement of course.

EDIT: For some reason McCoy logging is empty of zeds. Found a box of nails!

EDIT: Another two boxes of nails, and now also everything I need for making a tent set, except for a saw for making the sturdy sticks. If I can get a tent that will make it easier to make long distance trips for looting, camping mid-way.

    1 day, 1 hour.
    66 zeds down.

Currently have a normal hiking bag, a few days worth of food, and a frying pan and kitchen knife. Also found an area not swarming so heavily that I can sleep in tonight again.

    EDIT:

    ...

2 days, 3 hours. Slipped up and got scratched. ;-(  And I had finally reached the bar in south muldarugh as well.

Here http://throwflame.com/  http://store.xm42.com/ both websites allowing the sell of flamethrower within the states

Well, technically, you can legally own tanks, artillery, and other fun things, you just have to pay for a tax stamp (not to mention shilling out $100,000 for a tank). But still 100% legal. It's actually rather common for multi-millionaires to own FIGHTER JETS.
