I was trying to think of a way to craft a saw but failed to have any good ideas. That's when I remembered that you can split wood in to planks with no need for a saw.
I think it could be done with-
Axe + wooden wedges
Or 2 axes
Other tools are used -
Metal splitting wedge, mallet/club and other bits and bobs.
(would be cool if you could craft a double handed mallet that's like a sledgehammer)
Splitting in its most basic form could turn 1 log into 2 planks.
This would help the unlucky people that just can't find a saw!
I know that your average Joe is not a Viking but average Joe can't light a fire with a stick and notched wood.
I feel like PZ needs an alternative way to make planks. This could be the solution???

We have barrels and trash cans, we should be able to destroy it with hammer/axe/Sledge and get scrap, which we can use to coat door.
Today, the doors are extremely useless in mp. Every stupid with axe can destroy it with few swings.
Also, scrap metal can be used to make metal tools, window bars or picklocks.

Generators! Sneaking and all PvP and PvE stuff.

I like the idea. As Houski  said, tunnel vision + that gonna work well.

hello you happy tax payers, i've been working on something more visible on the streets than a metro: busses.

For the log wall it should have different build times. No shovel = longest, Trowel = slightly shorter, Spade = shortest time. But what about those that build them on concrete? Require a hammer = longer time, Sledgehammer = shortest time.
 
An workbench/storage area would be nice if we could prebuild then move the items to where they are needed (add in a planning mode lol) allowing entire teams to put things together. Main carpenter gets most experience for building the base of the items. Installer gets less experience for just going over and plopping them down into place.
