What if we wanted to combine waffles and pancakes into some sort of pan-waffle enterprise of delicious proportions?

Basicly youre not wrong, but going with that i do not understand the One-Way this goes.
Sure its realistic to not have the same fitness level - but also it would be realistic to lose the severety of Panic states caused by seing Zombies after a 6 Months playthrough for example. The way the realism of that kind is added is just in negative ways for now (except the generall level of protection getting be using clothes)
It would be possible to get rid of traits like short sightet by wearing glasses, should be possible to get rid of feeble after a certain amount of zombies killed and so on.
I dont really care too much about the point themselves, what i dont like is simply that almost all changes go into making playing more uncomfortable.

Also as you say "think about the consequences" - like i stated at my Post: Weight related Traits mattered quite a lot after the changes to Knifes, and its totally normal to me that if you lose them you lose the negative effects of it - same goes the other direction - if you start without them you still get the negative parts of them.
If i wanted to complain only about the Points i would have complained about the -2 at thick skinned which is a staple to me.

As i said - i think the devs are overdoing it atm with the balance changes.

I might have been quite salty at my last post because the last update completely screwed my playthrough by adding some unexpected bugs, spawning zombies (Nulifying the work of cleaning the area to start building). but still i can stand behind my statements - layers after layers of uncomfortability get added ... i dont get the point.
Would only make sense if they only wanna make the game more "difficult" for their players that got bored and not intend to get more people in.

Sure its cool that so much work gets done, and its impressive how much changes there are - i simply dont like the general direction of where things go.
To me it looks like i will never play something else than sandbox in the future to be able to disable/enable stuff to somehow get the experience i intend to get out of the game.
Basicly i miss the improving /QoL changes compared to all the changes to make the game more complex - i love the basic things that got added/removed by build 41
but the extra stuff that got added weekly just dont sound/feel appealing to me.

Once vehicles is done, it will probably come in Build 39 I'm afraid. Gonna have to wait until then, or opt into the vehicles branch.

One of the best things I've ever seen on the subject is this World Health Organisation video on depression. It's wonderfully done, and is also extremely helpful in explaining how depression works/feels to non-sufferers.

I suffer from clinical depression & social anxiety disorder. In fact, I'm in the middle of a depression episode right now. It sucks.

Treatment is available, and it helps tonns. Meds are a pain in the neck, but worth it to take the edge off. Counselling etc is worth it.

I would strongly recommend watching this, which explains a lot about what they think is going on with depression:

Also, if others are having trouble understanding what you're going through, ask them to play Depression Quest. It's free, on Steam and online, and is the best depiction of what it's like I've come across. Play it yourself as well if you want, but don't be surprised if it hits you hard.

    Edit:
Also, escaping reality via games, books, tv shows you love is *totally* acceptable, useful, and a way for you to get your brain to shut up and leave you be for a bit. It's invaluable to help process, I cannot impress enough how useful gaming has been to me keeping an even keel. Don't think it's bad, it's totally *not*.

If you're escaping reality for 99% of the time, that's when it's bad, but 10-20% is fine. Seriously though, do go see a doctor, help *is* available, and it's worth it.

I can offer the more professional side advice, I currently work as a psychologist in a child and adolescent MH service. I will write a post later tonight when I get some time with some more generic psychological stuff. However, others advice can be equally, if not more, useful at times. Can be powerful abd hopeful to hear you're not the only one and people can get through it. Although, what works for others might not work for you and visa versa, some could actually make you feel worse. It really depends on you, your context, your depression, what is maintaining, what has caused it etc.

To be honest this video game's probably had more of an impact on me than is within realms of most people's understanding, especially considering I only play it. Having battled depression my entire life probably since I was like 8,I've had to find countless coping mechanisms, doubly so since almost none of my anti depressants helped. Zomboid became a very major one after I had seen robbaz do a let's play. It helps grant a serious sense of escapism, while escapism isn't exactly the best coping mechanism a reprieve from the existence of permanently having bipolar + depression is ecstasy after periods of bad mental health. Sorry for the person dump. Really glad yall are taking your time on npcs. Every member of the community worth their salt should definitely recognize why its takeing so long. Love all you developers, guys are rad as heck.

The reason for such is because panic from zombies is additive, I think. Meanwhile, panic induced by phobias continuously pile up, meaning that taking beta-blockers is essentially dwarfed by how much panic is building.

If this is true - and I'm not saying it is, then I believe beta-blockers should be reworked to prevent the build up of panic. But I'd also love to see a side effect, or something to prevent people from just  popping 16 tablets and being completely fine.

Get a carpentry skill book, a bunch of planks, nails and a hammer and just spam build floor tiles until you have all skill points you need. I never once in my PZ experience had a shortage of skill points.

The only thing worse than a horde of zombies is a horde of zombies on fire.

I honestly want to believe that devs are trolling us by adding molotovs and such so we'll all kill ourselves by using them.
