    Might be able to mod this in myself with enough research but I was thinking it would be cool if we could have a hotkey that sets your character to walk in the same way they do when we right click and go to walk here but without the need for the green square and the constant clicking in that direction. just a quick hotkey press and he is off to the races

    This a problem specially with walls, carpentry structures, you should be able do dissemble every structure that you create. I mean is just pulling out the nails with the hammer.
     
    To avoid spamming building and dissemble sploit, just remove the xp gained for dissemble structures made by the player.
     
    *Also destroying structures with the sledge hammer is not consuming stamina.

    This works as an event to attract zombies.
     
    -has the radius sound of breaking a window to a specific point on the screen area.
     
    -the classic jump scare.
     
    -the trees will shake where the event happen 
     
    -happens only on foraging areas or forest areas.

    I really like the plane/helicopter crash Idea. Somewhere in random place outside towns (to avoid bugs), similar to car crashes on the roads. Military helicopter with some weapons and ammunition (it could crash after the helicopter event and attract nearby zombies) or small private plane crashed with some valuable supplies.

    This basic traps are more focused to be effective against other survivors not for zombies.
     
    Traps have to be replaced every time they are activated.
     
    Barbed wire depletes every time is used like regular wire.
     
    Empty cans are not trash anymore but a resource.
     
    -Cans sound trap
     
    2 wood sticks, 4 empty cans and twine can be hide with 4 twigs and only visible for the one who placed or allies (the sound could be the same radius as breaking a window, and would attract zombies). Could be placed around the base to avoid being ambush. 
     
    -Barbed wired ground trap
     
    4 wood sturdy sticks and barbed wire can be hide with 4 twigs. Would hurt with scratches on the legs.
     
    -Bear trap
     
    Can only be found very rare. Deep wound on survivor will make a zombie a crawler. Can be hide with 4 twigs.
     
    -Secret Stash
     
    Can be created inside a house or outside fits 20 space, only one per player. 
    Probably optional for servers
     
    -Barded Wire on Wall.
     
    Can be placed on the wall the player and others wont be able to jump the wall (or could be jumped but several scratches or even deep wounds).

    Now that the fanny pack is more popular among players we could have more appealing models here some suggestions. Also a medical duffle bag to be found on paramedics on the ambulance event and medical fanny pack. Hunters belt will go nice with the Winchester and revolvers.

    Charlypizza reacted to semthews in Forget Antidepressants. Grab those Cigarettes! (Exploit)   
    This exploit allows the player to cheese boredom, stress, and sadness, removing the depth these functions add to the game.
     
    If you run while smoking a cigarette as a smoker, you can interrupt the process while still getting stress and sadness reduction.
    This can be abused over 5 times per cigarette. Imagine living off worms and never getting sad.
     
    Update
     
    Below photos show, before and after, half of a cigarette eliminating severe depression. 
     
    The caveat is the lighter/matches will be the limiting factor since they are used after each interruption. Stress however becomes insanely easy to manage since it disappears after each occurance.
     
    The "smoker" becomes a positive trait with free points and eliminates the value given by antidepressants.
     
    I imagine a decent solution is to delay the positive mood buff until after the cigarette is finished. This should balance this exploit.

    We can build walls and doors on level 3 carpentry, but there is for some reason not a single way to make a roof for your own base, unless u wait untill level 6 carpentry, build stairs and build a floor on a second story.
     
    So...
    Can we please get an abbility to build roofs? uwu

    Im working on a suggestion, i think some appliance like microwaves, fridges and similar share "electric" and "metal work" experience to dissemble they should provide exp on both skills, they even drop metal and electric parts

    It's a long-standing issue – currently they require metalworking, but I guess Electrical is more fitting skill to disassembly them.

    I had a dream where somehow zomboid was involved,and I remember distinctively that I ran into a window and jumped out of a house.
    I was thinking that maybe sprinting into a window could let you jump into it, and break through. Deep wound or something would be a guarantee but it's for those times you need

    I like the fanny pack they are great to keep important items apart from the rest.
     
    Just like the title we could have variants of the fanny pack with the same objective, tool belts and the vest could have carry capacity.
     
    To avoid having to many storage units and confuse the player it could be limited to 3 wearable units on the body, example: Backpack, fanny pack and vest or backpack, tool belt and vest. And of course primary and secondary options to carry backpacks with the hands. Vest would occupy the frontal slot and tool belt the back slot.
     
    The vest could be: Foreman vest same storage space as the fanny pack, Hunting vest and the others more weight reduction than the fanny pack (but very rare).
     
    Tool belt same storage as the fanny pack. (very rare). it could be on the side of the hip and clipping with the hammer or whatever have on the belt so it will look like it is on the tool belt.
     
    One of the advantages is that u could have a warobe with a "hunting vest" with ammo on it when u decide to go hunting, "fishing vest" with tackles and bait and a "foreman vest" or "tool belt" with nails and construction tools so u could chose what to wear according to the activity u want to do. 
     
    Vest that could be added: Fishing vest, Medical/rescue vest and Police vest (not bullet prof)
     
    Realistically this vest have the function to provide frontal quick storage and the materials aren't warm and in the game there are already too many layers to keep the player warm. This could give the vest a more important role into the game especially when roleplaying.
     
    Additional to this u could add a version of the bullet proof vest with some carry capacity and the pockets.

    -Basically just add the light effect of the lighter when welding. On the picture i have the lighter on secondary giving the light effect i u could make blink sometimes when welding it will look even better.
     
    -Also this structures could be dismantle for metal bars.

    The aiming outline could be hard to see while winter the dark green with the grass on winter.
     
    Maybe u could try different color from Red, orange, yellow to the bright green so it doesn't blend with the enviroment. 
     
    Also i like it more the previous out line that was thinner, it was more fine tune with the detail of the game especially when u zoom a lot, can look a little bit unpolished with the new big outline.

    You may have years of experience but not notice the usual things under your nose. Because developers are people too, and they may not notice or see something, and so on. They sit at the code every day and have a million thoughts in their heads. Of course, some ideas can be easily forgotten or simply not reached in thoughts. That's why this topic exists - for proposals. We are here suggesting and discussing to make the game better. If something is written here, this does not mean that it should be done immediately. The developers have their own plans and their own vision of further development.
     
    I think you talk too much - you reject everything, but you do not offer anything. If you have nothing to offer, then you better shut up. And if the developers do not like what I offer or do not like me personally, then let me be banned. But this is definitely not for you to judge.

    Hi everyone.
    So , in the bottom you will read the improvements:

    - remove ground (vegetation and floor level) under buildings ( if you know in Buildings Editor we create a floor for building ). Also we can add ground manually if need of course.

    - make the grass level like the sublevel and the lowest level. Also make the grass a single picture (maybe 300x300), and not like array of units. When the player interacts with the grass level (digging, for example), simply add the appropriate unit and tile on top of the level above the grass along the coordinates. Thus, the grass will not be drawn in a loop, but as one picture, which will save memory resources and drawing of ceil will be faster.

    - THE BIG NAILS PROBLEM. As you know game freezes when you try to move 1000 nails from bag to bag.
      SOLUTION: I am sure the every nail made like one independent entity. For fixing that I propose to make nails in general like one entity with counter. And when we move nails to another bag, we need to move one entity , not 1000 entities and just change the counter and show this number near right of entity in inventory or bag. That is , if you have more equal one nail inventory or bag and you try get more , you just change counter and not move entity to inventory. If you not have nails you just move one nail entity and change counter in bag. This solution you can use for another quantitative things.
     
    This topic will be update if I have new idea for optimization.

    It always bothered me, that there is no real reason to level Electrical Skill beyond lvl 4. (first to hotwire cars, then to move ovens and washing-machines)
     
    I thought it would be great to have a bigger Motivation to max out your Electrical Skill, like the ability to detect and turn off House-Alarms!
     
    At Electrical level of 5 you would have the ability to detect a House-Alarm, and the ability to deactivate the alarm at lvl 6 or 7. But there would be still a little chance to trigger the alarm accidentally. The higher your Electrical-level gets, its less likely to trigger the alarm, while attempting to remove it.
