  1. If zoos were added, the animals would escape, leading to late game you having to fight packs of lions, and having ot deal with elephants steling your vegatbles,(only in big cities like louisville would there be zoos though, and it would take a while for tehm to mgrate to west oint or maldruhg
  2. Seems to me that it would be very unfeasible, for a few reasons: (1a), You would only find it in large cities (to big a risk just to live a couple extra hours) (2a), If it came out just as the zombies overran the world, very few people would know about it. (3a), where would you find this stuff? I mean serious, where would you be able to find it? (4a), It would be very fragile, meaning it would probably break in the situations of the apocalypse, before you even found any. (5a), All medicine has a shelf life. By the time you found some, it would probably be old and covered in weird glowing fungus (it is a rare experimental drug dealing with zombism, after all) (6a), It's experimental. the side affects would out way the benefits. I do see how this could be a cool concept and introduce some interesting lore/npc interaction: (1b,) Radio chatter says that the CDC is working on a cure (2b, Rumors spread of a cure or vaccine in large cities (death trap) (3b),Someone sells fake drugs to a small band of survivors to give hope, only for it to not work (interesting npc story idea) (4b), Someone took the fake drug, and thinks that it saved them (in reality he was just one of the 4% of bites which don't actually infect ) this causes the con man to make even more money.
  3. (1), That would make the snow into a minefield, as the dead would be digging through the many feet of snow. (2),I think that you'd need sleds for traveling over the snow (zombies below could hear you, and dig their way up). (3), I also think that in below zero temps though, the would freeze into non-moving chunks of ice, that would thaw out (there would be an exception, see [4] below) (4), I saw this in another post, and thought it would be so cool. There should be a zombie-weather reactions setting in sandbox. (a), Zombies should be able to become faster in snow (scary horror element) (b), Zombies should be able to hate rain, and try at all costs to head indoors (currently a mod [fear the rain]) (c), Zombies should be able to be night time only (pretty much the den up in buildings, forests, or other dark places while it's day time and sleep [very hard to find and distinguish from dead bodies]) (d), Zombies should be able to be day time only (question is, what scares them enough to keep them out of the dark?) (e), probably other ideas I haven't posted. (5), You'd need sunglasses to not get blinded by the glare of the snow (6) if there's anything I missed, let me know, same with problems I didn't notice in my post.
  4. This would probably be late game, (with npcs) when there are small "towns" forming among the ruins. You'd have to have a way to monitor the trains in a similar way as done now so that it doesn't wreck.
  5. Paper Clips would probably work a lot better to use as makeshift hooks. I personally think that fixing a fishing line with a nails, or even a paper clip (though paper clips would be a lot easier) is preposterous. I fish, and I have never heard of fixing broken line with nails.
  6. Peeking through doors would depend on which way the door opens. depending weather the doors swings left or right, alters what you see.
  7. Thanks, I knew about erosion, but I wasn't sure on if the system involved trees or not.
  8. After just reading the latest mondoid at http://projectzomboid.com/blog/2016/06/career-zeds/ and seeing the video on trees, I realized that there needs to be more variety. Now, some of you may not be taking me seriously right now because there are nice variety of trees, but I don't mean the species of tree, what I'm taking about right now is the quality of wood. As I, and just about any other person that works with wood knows, that different species have different hardness and looks. This would be applied in the game by different kinds of wood constructs having different strengths, and different kind also looking different, some looking better a than others. It would also show how much damage would be done to your axe. Next, chainsaws, a destructive weapon, and an amazing tool. It would cut down trees a lot faster that an axe, do more damage than any other weapon, and would be pretty easy to use, your aim not being as important. But it would have problems, like you'd have to be strong to use it, they'd be very rare, they would be extremely loud, and it would swallow up our precious fuel. Finally (I don't know if they have this, so if they do, let me know) I think that trees should reproduce and grow on their own, making barren neighbor hoods, into shrouded forests given enough time. You should also be able to collect seeds from said trees when you cut them down, or as a forage drop when under a tree, then you could take it home and plant it, being able to create and orchard. this would lead to a variety of fruit bearing trees, allowing characters to have more variety in their gardening and cooking.
  9. And thus the breath of life comes back into this topic Also, yeah your right, this got way out of hand, but if you play zomboid, zombie heads shouldn't bother you.
  10. Thanks, I hadn't thought of the nutrition aspect of it! there is also one more thing I hadn't thought about though, the difference between heirloom and non heirloom seeds. Heirlooms would reproduce on their own if left untended, and could have their leftover seeds used for the next crop. Non-heirlooms would not be able to do that, like in the real world, and would only be good for one planting, as they couldn't make viable seeds.
  11. This makes me think of something else; wild crops Imagine this scenario, you get attacked by a massive hoard and have to leave our stronghold, leaving your garden behind. Most get trampled, but a few survive, and years later, when you finally can come back, you find (to your delight) that the garden is overflowing with fruits and vegetables that had became wild and grew on their own a long time ago. Pretty much i mean is that if you leave rotten fruit, the seeds should spread, occasionally moving to other tiles, and grow naturally.
  12. 2 things (1), they should have different fish species in different rivers (or even different parts of rivers depending on how long it is) based on what species live there in the real world (2), You should be able to fill up bathtubs (or sinks in a pinch) and transport fish into them to keep a fresh supply of fish should you (unfortunately) be unable to get to the river for some reason.
  13. I have a question, and it may sound stuppid, but I've been wondering why project zomboid is set in the 90s?
  14. Couldn't you just hit the door with your melee weapon? Sure it breaks down your weapon but it also increases your melee skills without having to go into dangerous zombie vs. human combat.
  15. This would almost have to be a sandbox setting once npcs come in: (1), npcs only (2), other players only (3), both other players and npcs
  16. I'm not certain, but I think you posted this in the wrong forum, maybe trying the correct one will get you somewhere.
  17. They'd need a few different types though, such as push mover, riding mower, and gas less mower. This is a pic of one
  18. I just put up as many as I could think of that wouldn't be ridiculously unobtainable.
  19. A few things on that and other peoples comments. (1), love the idea! (2), flood water is usually very muddy, I'm sorry, but I've never seen flooded water that is crystal clear. So in short, I agree with the minefield comment (3), I think that a few may end up floating to the surface, turning them into floaters, but they would be at the mercy of the current. (4), I also think that upright zombies would: (a) get caught by the current (b) get stuck in the mud [this would be more likely after the flood waters were gone] (c) become floaters themselves due to being knocked over. (5), I think that fishing would improve, mostly from my own catfishing experience. (5a) I also think that you could extend your fishing range into any flooded tile. (6), they would need to add water vehicles such as: (a) canoes (b) kayaks (c) rafts (crafting recipe?) (d) motorboats (7), I think that is all, but if there are any problems with my comment please point them out. Thank you!
  20. I think this would be nice! I would probably help gardening too, as it would let you, for example, know which tomatoe plant is ready to pick, or which watermelon is fully grown.
  21. I think that they need some different variations of ammunition, the list of ones I can think of are as follows: FMJ-Full Metal Jacket BB-Ball Bering JHP-Jacketed Hollowpoint JSP-Jacketed Softpoint MAG-Magnum AP-Armor Penetrating HPBT-Hollow Point Boat Tail Im sure there are others that I didn't mention, but I figured a small list of variations would be nice.
  22. I live in Missouri- which is one of Kentucky's neighbors- and we get tornadoes every spring
  23. I forgot to mention tornadoes and floods.
  24. Thankyou I had no idea! I will probably use that every time I end up fighting the zombies. Thanks!
  25. Ive actually done this, though it may have been a glitch. I put trash cans in front of the front doors of Pizza Whirled on the inside, and I couldn't get through form either side.
