    Name - Ryan ''R'' Wagner

    Age - 25

    Gender - Male

    Role - Scout/Scavenger/Hunter

    Background - Years before the world collapsed, Ryan was a nobody. His name meant nothing... most people that knew him regarded him as a waste of breath, and he knew it. He could feel all the cold treatment given to him. Often times he would shed a tear in secret, as this was the only relief he could have from the painstakingly drag of day-to-day life in New Jersey. He thought moving into Muldraugh would give him a new start, and indeed it did.
     Just as he arrived he started hearing reports of a new rabies that affected humans, making them bite anybody... but he did not give it too much thought, until his face almost got chewed off in an alleyway when he was returning home from his workplace. He escaped the attacked, luckily, without a scratch. Returning home, he crashed in the bed and fell asleep instantly, only to wake up the next morning to the sound of gunfire and sirens right down the street. Still sleepy, he shuffled to the window to see what all the fuss was about, and he saw people infected with this... "rabies"... attacking the civilians, while the police had no other choice but to shoot them. Still stunned by the situation, he heard something started clawing and banging the door... bang! bang!... Afraid that one of those things might be at his door, he stared at it for a short time, then rushed in the kitchen to grab the frying pan.
     Pressed against the door, his heart pumping, his blood rushing, he said, with a fearful quake to his voice "Hello?"... but no answer, the clawing continued.
     He opened the door and the infected pounced on him, knocking the pan out of his hand. Struggling to keep his mouth at bay, Ryan started looking around panicked for just the smallest of objects that he could use as self-defense. He extended his arm to grab the picture of him and his family... the closest thing to him, both physically and sentimentally, and caved the monster's head him.
     Staring at the monster, his eyes filled with tears; both from the deed he just committed and ruining the only memory he had of his parents; his hands shaking, gasping for air, he realized that things will not be the same again.
     Until this day he survives, scavenging what he could find. Used to solace and solitude, he doesn't feel as alone as one might think, but for how long?

    At the moment  zombies have mainly just some clothes on them, and that makes them a little boring and with no "personal touch" that would make them a little more beliavable.
    In the real world there aren't only standard citizen walking around, we have different kinds of people: shopkeepers, lawyers, police or fire officier, many kind of workers and so on.

    So this is my simple suggestion: make some "specialist" zombie, like:
    Fire officer: sturdy and quite heavy clothes, and some tools the usually use (like axes);
    Police officer: a gun, some bullet, a truncheon and maybe handcuffs;
    Costruction worker: some tools or building material, and sturdy clothes (jeans?), maybe a helmet;
    Employee: some nice clothes, maybe a suitcase with papers and pens inside;
    Tugh: some tough looking clothes, a knife or a weapon of some sort;
    Shopkeeper: simple clothes and different stuff (depending on what shop it comes from, like hardware store = nails);
    Doctor: some pills and medical stuff;

    and so on!

    Ideally in a group of zombie half should be standard-zombie and the other half with various zombie specialists, maybe with varius degree of rarity, with specialist zombie that have usefull loot being the rarest.

    I didn't find this in the suggestions thread and i don't know if developpers already decided to add something like this in the future, if so just ignore the whole thread.

    Eh no. The day they add pot to the game is the day I go gunning on some Dev's, For a mod sure, for it to be in the game... aHAHAAHAH no.

    For the being depressed part, I am half with you. The idea your character controls himself is dumb, I think it should be if you let your person get to depressed he won't get "happy" unless he does depressing things, for example killing himself, this would give the need to be concerned of your characters emotion, without them controlling themself, as it loses the immersion of you being that person.

    Agreed, zombies should only be able to find me if I make the mistake that draws them to me, not because of an AI director.

    Survival can have the AI director but I'd love a sandbox option that switches it off.

    Hey guys,

    Not sure if this has been suggested before or in the way I propose, but here's my idea.

    So I'm thinking that a pretty simple new item could be a pair of binoculars, which basically double your view length whilst halving your field of view, allowing you to spot distant threats before they spot you (could come in particularly handy against other humans) or simply to scope out an area before moving in.

    While using the binoculars you'd be vulnerable to attack, so perhaps a scoped rifle, which would do the same thing to your vision while aiming, and allow you to shoot further.

    Just a simple idea which could be pretty useful

    Problem is GodWaffle that the devs want to make getting smothered by a pillow or killed in your sleep a real threat. I think it would be exciting to have to try barricade yourself in each night to ensure you don't die .

    OK,need to make sure here. Is this just sometype of thread roleplaying thread? Or is this really gonna be a actual player-based survivor group in the actual game?

    I have owned the beta of the game for half a year and it just keeps getting better and better. But if this is gonna be real group we are talking about, then I had to make an account just that I can contribute to this. So, let me present to you:
    18.
    Name
    Edward "Eddie" Boyle
    Age
    32
    Gender
    Male
    Role
    Guard / Security (Or any role that is lacking, so that not everyone is outside of the walls bashing zombie skulls)
    Background
    Edward had a rough life. And it was the most usual one. Mother died at the birth and after his mothers death his father became abusive and alcoholic,committing suicide when Edward was 16. Edward thought that he couldn't follow the path that he had been building anymore, and decided to start a new one in the beautiful County of Knox. After this Edward had many shitty jobs, 3 relationships which all failed (2 for cheating, 1 for fighting which eventually led Edward to the court). To this date, Edward had achieved nothing else in his life than an decend job as an security guard. So, Edward decided that it was his time to go. He bought a handgun with the last money he had, climbed on to the roof of his home building, and cocked his gun. He raised the weapon to his temple, and just as he was ready to shoot, he heard screaming. He looked down to the street level, seeing a someone attack a man right outside his door. But this "thing" wasn't beating the man to death. It was eating him. And soon, a couple more arrived. Eddie rushed back inside accompanied by alarms, and into his apartment, still not believing what he had just witnessed. But Edward had seen his share of horror culture to know what this meant. Deep down inside, he knew, that this wasn't normal assault. No, this was something completely else. But even when knowing what was going on, Edward wasn't afraid. He wasn't scared. He wasn't even worried. Edward had looked Death face to face. And Death had offered him an alternative. This was his new path. This was his new life. And he knew, That he,for one, would welcome their new zombie overlords, with a grin, and with a bullet.

    Hi fellow survivors!

    I'm new in this forum and I hope you will excuse me for my bad english.

    I've decided to do this cause on the Forum I have read that a lot of people don't survive much at the begin, despite the Survival Giude on PZwiki.
    From my little experience I've managed, so far, to survive reasonably well. I'm NOT tring to be presumptious here, I just want to share what I have learned. (for the little that is)

    You should be able to do this between the first 2-4 days. (after zombies increase in number)

    1: Take a look at the map and find the easiest house to use as a fort which is (in my opinion) near the "Train Station". (is the ONLY house with the wooden walls surrounding) and start "building" your safe house (use sheet on windows, turn lights off...)

    2: This house is only two hours from the "Big Warehouse" near the Highway; get there and loot al the needed tool (Hammer, Saw, Axe, Nails, Trowel, Bucket and last Sledgehammer).
    If you don't find some of the tools, look if you have enought daylight (and enought space in your inventory and containers) to go to the "McCoy Logging Corp." (another two hours from the warehouse) if so go there, loot and sleep here. (It's QUIET safe)

    3: Get home. Make some planks and close the only entrance of your fort (walls and door) and built some rain collector barrels. Later in the game you can start fortifying and secure for real.

    4.Your next necessary trip, always in my opinion, is the "Cortman Medical". It's about 4-5 hours from your fort. So maybe plan to sleep somewere around.

    Edit#1:

    5. When you are out to looting try to have an objective. Then smash a window in a house near your objective, this will (hopefully) attract the zombies. Also yelling and drive them away from your objective is good.

    Edit #2:

    6. Your fort can't be forever (at least this one can't). 'cause after a month or so the zombies are gonna take over. And they come in a HUGE number and don't ask permission. So, I will suggest you to change your hideout in something that's not near to populated areas.

    From there... start looting, farming, crafting, or simple smash some zombies!

    It could also tie in with things like; you jump out a window and break your leg=crutches or makeshift ect. Or cutting a limb off if your bitten, which people have already suggested? But i can see how it may be a disadvantage too far but broken legs that would heal after a few weeks(of propper care) or seeing NPCs with disabilitys would be interesting.
