  1. Yeah Hershel's the only I sort of like too. Never really had a problem with Rick, except the fact that he is a bit whisy-washy. I'm waiting for the moment when Rick realises that Carl isn't going to be an inconnent kid anymore and that the other kids need to be taught how to use knifes and guns. The Governer storyline really needs to die asap, it's getting really annoying and should have ended at the finale of season 3. Hershel's last performance in episode 5 was quite good imo, tough the whole religion thing kinda puts me off. The character I dislike (hate is too strong) the most is Andrea if only for not killing the Governor when he was setting up his nice little torture chamber (not to mention the heads in the fish tanks). Yeah that was kinda silly. Even now 'before the apocalypse' you're not going to help a guy who was just shooting at you because he fell and impaled himself. Rick made the right call to let Carol go, although I expect that he's going to have some serious trouble with Tyreese in the future because of that. (I don't really understand Carol's reasoning there: the sick people had already coughed on everything etc, killing them now, when they were already isolated, would no good whatsoever. On a side note: I really dislike all the Daryl fangirling that's going around.
  2. Yeah me too, I usually play with 2hr days and zombies with poor eyesight because the eyes are supposed to be milky white. In a 1 hr day my character wakes up, eats something, checks the perimeter, runs a few streets downtown, loots 4 houses and then it's starting to get dark already.
  3. I much prefer Fallout NV. Fallout 3 was okay, but the greenish tint to everything started to annoy me after a while, plus the DC ruins were horrible to navigate. NV had much better gun mechanics, dialogue, character depth, but the map size was misleading. In FO3 I could be the evil dude who killed everyone and put the FEV in the water and not care about the people. In NV I actually had some connection to my followers and their story.
  4. Nice, though I'm not going to play it in Dutch anyway . Even if I have the choice, I'd rather play games (PZ, L4D ...), steam etc. in English. The only thing that's Dutch on my PC is my OS.
  5. I think that at the moment you can only use sheet ropes on player-made window frames. Not sure though. This is incorrect. You can attach sheet ropes to regular openable windows that are opened. I'm not sure if you can attach sheet rope to broken windows yet though... ok, weird though.
  6. I think that at the moment you can only use sheet ropes on player-made window frames. Not sure though.
  7. That's the problem with high-tech companies, not everyone can simply start up a service like Google. No matter what they do, you'll still use Google because of its good search 'mechanics' and they know that. Google will keep implementing these kinds of thing because they know they can, all a company only cares about, no matter what they say, is profit.
  8. The pie has died, long live the cake!
  9. I don't actively search for music to listen to. Mostly some game soundtracks and other non-genre stuff that interest me. examples: some classical musicTropico 3 & 4 soundtrackCollection of DDR musicLeft 4 Dead soundtrackFranzl LangMonthy Python songs...
  10. Yeah me too. Does the low-normal-high zombie population option save? I remember from earlier builds that you could pick no zombies, but when you'd restart the game that zombies would spawn.
  11. I played about 80 hours of DI, the story and characters sucked, but slashing a zombie apart or breaking limbs was good fun.
  12. I agree with you. I see glowing reviews everywhere, but the game isn't that good actually. Melee combat is bad indeed, I actually prefer the melee combat from Dead Island, it feels more real.
  13. Hello everyone On Steam now for free: No More Room in Hell. It's a free mod built with the source engine featuring (slow) zombies and coop. It's free so I tried it yesterday. Apparently it has been in development for 7 years and in beta for two and just got released for real on the 31st of October 2013. http://store.steampowered.com/app/224260 The first thing I noticed was that there is no HUD and no ammo counter, that's something new. To check your ammo you have to hold the reload button to count your ammo. The zombies (the slow kind, like PZ shamblers) look okay. I played for about half an hour and noticed some very annoying things like the unresponsiveness of the controls. Between left clicking and the character swinging his axe (only male characters so far, seriously?) there was a delay of about 0.5-0.75 seconds. Another problem is the unintuitive inventory management where it's difficult to see how much items you can pick up and how much inventory space an item takes. The graphics were fine though, but the unresponsiveness was a game-breaker for me. What's your opinion? (sorry for my poor English)
  14. My first guess was a wordplay on Romulan Ale from Star trek or something
  15. Cool idea though , i don't think i ever saw this in a game.
  16. Halloween seems something that is more popular in Anglo-Saxon countries. It exists here in Belgium of course, with all the decoration, pumpkins and stuff, but trick or treaters is something rare. Happened last night though, around midnight some jokers rang and woke everyone in the house, didn't open the door  .
  17. It's a cool idea, but this would have an extremely-low priority. I'm doubtful this would ever get implemented because PZ is an indie game and this level of detail is something for game companies with hundreds of employees.
  18. I concur with GodWaffle, bugs and fixes come first, Multiplayer would just create more bugs. When NPC's get implemented and the bugs that come with them, only then should we think about multiplayer.
  19. F2P walks a fine line in my opinion. I never really played a lot of MMO games, just GW2 and WoW, but I quit those because I don't want them te become a second job. I agree that the important part is that a game keeps giving you goals to work toward . The games I do like from EA (aside from the games I mentioned) are C&C3 and the Sims (although that's a money-cow). (PS: I suddenly got a member title, nice!)
  20. Yeah, I had to force myself to finish Tiberium Twilight, it's barely a rts. Never really got into RA1 and C&C Dawn and Sun, those were before my time (I'm from '94) ,I grew up with RA2, Age of Empires 2, Age of Myhtology (playing with my dad in coop) and so on. Red Alert 3 was just too much (@Plasticrage: the forced coop was bad indeed), RA2 got the combination of seriousness and humour just right. Generals was fun too . Never liked F2P much, pay to win is horrible, but some F2P are nice like Guild Wars 2. Seriously, what's wrong with "good ol' paying for a full game"? I'm doubtful about Generals 2 (besides: why name it Command & Conquer, that's just confusing ).
  21. Source: the Escapist Electronic Arts abruptly cancels its unreleased Command & Conquer sequel. Electronic Arts has pulled the plug on a Command & Conquer sequel that was scheduled for release this holiday season. The game, which was being developed by Victory Games, entered an alpha testing phase several months ago, and EA has not been pleased with the results. "Your feedback from the alpha trial is clear: We are not making the game you want to play," reads a post on the official Command & Conquer website. "That is why, after much difficult deliberation, we have decided to cease production of this version of the game. Although we deeply respect the great work done by our talented team, ultimately it's about getting you the game you expect and deserve." Unfortunately, this cancelation is going to be rough for the people at Victory Games. "This does mean that the Victory Games team will be disbanded," an EA representative told Game Informer. "Wherever possible, we are working to help these talented people find other opportunities with EA." Command & Conquer has always been an important franchise for Electronic Arts, so I'm sure we'll eventually see another sequel. In fact, the publisher has "already begun looking at a number of alternatives to get the game back on track." In the mean time, I may have to reinstall Windows 98, so I can replay Tiberian Sun. Read more at http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/129133-EA-Nukes-Command-Conquer-Sequel#PhEFVAlIuVlJd7HJ.99 It seems that C&C Generals 2 (C&C officially) has been cancelled due to negative feedback from the alpha trial. C&C is not lost forever though, as it is very likely that the current work will be re-used for another C&C game. I'm kind of in two minds about this. On the one hand the F2P thing seemed a very bad descision for me, on the other hand I liked that there would be new content for the Generals series. What's your opinion?
  22. Amen to that  . I'm going to try these 'American pancakes' one day though.
  23. Nice, i like the idea of player created maps, though I woudn't make one . German city seems a nice idea!
  24. Yep, any NPC that doesn't heed my order will be killed. simple as that .
