  1. How can we represent that through gameplay though?

Well, chest pain is pretty obviously reflected by the moodle pain, nauseated by the queasy moodles and such. Shortness of breath and a chocking sensation could make exertion appear faster, sweating and trembling make you interact with objects slower and make you less efficient with weapons.

  2. The devs will probably implement this, as I think they said it was something they wanted to see.

But even as a tool or weapon, it would be innefective. Consider the noise it would make! Not even that, but the fuel you would need to keep that thing going!

I'd recommend saving that fuel for vehicles, rather than chainsaws

Actually very, very simple. Just spawn zombies contiously at getPlayer():getX() -25, getPlayer():getY() -25 and their collision takes care of itself . . . unless you move. In which case it  gets to be a mess in a hurry. And, if one chunk unloads, the zombies present on it disappear into the netherworld.

ToastedFIsh made a zombie-dupliciation mod, I believe (kill 1 and several take its place).

    Wow

  4. Thanks mate! But I want to buy the game myself - and that is why I made my original post here - because I care about the game!

I am attracted to it somehow and will most likely buy it in the end - just wanted to have some sort of ending screen with a summary telling me that I have completed (or not) most of Project Zomboid story/challenges/plot.

And my guts are telling me developers will provide something like that. :)

Just remember that the best stories will probably come from the ones you make in Survival, with NPCs

  5.

Maybe like 5 should be at the army base or something because otherwise whoever gets this first will have extremely unfair advantages.

The place where PZ is set is under quarantine, if you were to use a helicopter, you would probably just get shot down by the military  anyway.

In all modes of PZ there is quarantine? I thought it's only in Kate&Baldspot story.

I think there is no reason to have helicopter. You must be pilot to use it and you can't figure it out by yourself. It's just too complicated / complex. It would be overpowered or useless. Not so good idea in my opinion.

On the other hand maybe paraglider could be a thing? I don't know how common are they in USA but in my country it's common thing to see on sky. It's not so complicated to use / fix it.

I dont see how you would even use a paraglider, because

1: You can't go up, you can only glide down.

2: To begin using them, You'd need to be higher up, and since there are no mountains or hills, you'd have to use rooftops, to which you have no way to transport the glider to.

Also, it's the same place as the Kate&Baldspot story, so naturally it is under the same circumstances, so yes, it is under quarantine.

  7.

That... is literally what I just said. That the fisherman profession would let the character stay entertained while fishing.

I guess I kind of worded it wrong, but I was agreeing with you that they should have a fishing profession in the game and if they do add it they should give you a bonus to the fishing skill.

There already is a Fisherman profession, it provides a bonus to fishing and foraging.

  8. Not that many people actually enjoy fishing. I assume that most of the activity consists mostly of waiting around, and I don't see how that's entertaining.
Although I think the fisherman profession should keep the character entertained while fishing.

  9. This was not rejected. Children were (read the rejected suggestions again).

You can already respawn in survival, try a proper argument next time.

First, yes, it was rejected, as was stated in the other threads that were created on this subject. Which you can search for. This was stated in the ''how to make a good suggestion thread'', that you should search for threads that were already made on the subject, to make sure you aren't repeating them, unless you have something new to add.

Second, it was already stated that respawning was going to be removed in normal survival mode, although probably not in sandbox.

And third, maybe cut down on the '' try a proper argument next time'' when you should try to research this information first.

    No offense, of course.

  10. I'm fairly certain that an heir system has already been rejected, atleast as a feature for the normal survival mode, as it would count as a way to respawn.

Also, yes, this was already suggested quite a lot of times.

Although you can hope for it to become a mod, I'm sure.

  11. Well, I'm going to tell this for the fifth time. I never get tired of telling this.

In around my third playthrough, I survived a bit longer than my previous playthroughs. 15 days.

I had just gotten back from a looting run to the warehouse, and I wanted to try out my new found sledge-hammer.

I equipped it, and out of curiosity, destroyed the middle-part of the stairs of my safehouse.

Now, PZ doesn't really know the meaning of physics, so here is what happened:

walked into the, now non-existent, middle part of the stairs. After I went there, my character immedietly teleported to the ground floor, suffering fall damage. Then I walked back into the stairs, and teleported back up the stairs, and then I teleported down again, dying from fall damage.

PZ really needs a falling mechanic and animation. :D

  12. To the developers:

I was going to buy your game but then I began searching this forum on how I can complete it - and sadly it seems there is no way to do it now.

Please make some sort of ending that will allow you to 'complete' your playthrough.

Now I know this is considered a sandbox game, but even games like Skyrim could be completed by finishing main storyline.

Maybe "This Is How You Died" thing could end like this:

"This Is How You Died - dying of old age in your impregnable fortress, which you build for the last X years".

OR you could add overall ending score (factoring for example structures build, places explored, injuries survived etc.) - so you could at least beat your own playthroughs.

I very much hope you will make some sort of story ending (other than death) that will 'cut' somewhat monotonous existence once you establish your stronghold.

It was already said that the game is going to have a story mode.

I don't get why you would rather have the ending instead of the story, but okay, I guess...

Also, there isn't going to be an ending in sandbox mode, other than endings you create yourself, AKA roleplaying.

Also, NPCs are going to get rid of the monotonous existence you're speaking of, but the best goals you're going to have are the ones you set for yourself, in my opinion.

Also: Sandbox games that are massively enjoyable but don't have an ending:

    Minecraft

    Space Engineers

    DayZ

    Garry's Mod

    Terraria

    Dwarf Fortress

Payday: The Heist & Payday 2

    All of ''The Sims'' Games

    Etc...

  13. Cook off, overkill, 30 bags. Playing with Kitt and Plasma

Just 2 minutes away from leaving, with a hostage ready to get Kitt back, when a dozer suddendly charges in and kills me and Plasma.

Two hours of gameplay wasted in those 5 seconds.

    Fuck everything ever.

For who's wondering, we would get approximately 35.000.000  $ if we won.
