you've never found a bag of NPK fertilizer? i guarantee you, they are available....mostly in the warehouses, though i did find some in the trailer park between towns.

ham radios and using a codebook, just as in real life, would also be a way to communicate. and i completely forgot about the upcoming Fort Knox military installation. undoubtedly they would have some type of communication system for their "in the field" soldiers.

Need to read them A LOT more than twice.... Unless I missed something recently Last time I checked, the player only read half of the remaining pages each time you clicked "read" making it impossible to finish the book ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ just keep your cursor on that line in the inventory while reading, it shows how many pages you have read

wow indeed, only thing i don't like is how many new places crawlers will have to play "hide'n'bite" but it will be worth it.

i always wonder how many people fail to read them twice, since your character stops reading about 20 pages early the first time.

it's a great idea, but it may be better to do it after they have made any changes to the base game like we saw in the Devs adventure videos. at least get thru a week or two of the upcoming Beta

true, they will be bringing in a way to charge batteries. so walkie talkies remain a possibility, but turning it off defeats the purpose of having them in the first place. what good will it do you or your buddy to try and relay a message that there is something nasty coming your way or his way if you have it turned off? gonna send up smoke signals instead?

walkie talkies could be a bad idea, strictly because it could give away your location. imagine your sneaking past a horde when suddenly your friend on the other end starts talking on the walkie talkie. or he just bumps the send key and you get that lovely static feedback sound if the power goes down, why would the cell phones still be working so you can text?
