  1. I'm placing them in tile mode, on the tile just to the outside of the wall. If I place it behind a window I can see it through the window, so the problem is that the overlay is appearing on a layer which is behind the wall. Sorry for derailing your thread a bit, but I appreciate the help!
  2. Looks phenomenal! Can I just ask how you got the cornerpieces on the bakery to work? Whenever I try to place them they show up behind the wall instead of on top of.
  3. As someone who has recently gotten into map-making, I felt a compilation of little tips and tools that people have for map-making would be great. Just post your tricks on how you make yours look nice, and take a look at other people's! Please post which editor you're using the trick in- building editor, world editor, etc.
  4. I joined the community not long before getting the game a week ago, and it's downright bizarre seeing the difference between this community and most other video game ones. I'm mostly a console gamer, so I'm used to seeing forums of man-children and actual children, and it seems so weird to see a group of people on the internet acting pleasant. I have to say that how pleasant the community seemed was a big factor in my purchase!
  5. Thanks for the responses, guys! I'm not proposing for this to start immediately, but it's something that could happen in a few weeks or months, when a few tutorials are posted for it and people have gotten a chance to play around with it. This is the suggestions page so I'm not expecting it to be implemented immediately!
  6. I was wondering if the Devs have any plans for official mapping contests? Something where they give a time for when it ends and we all complete something? I'd imagine that they could follow the rules of "theme" or "lot" contests, where we're either given a theme to follow "hospital, horror, grocery store, etc) or a lot (30 wide by 10 long and 3 high), or a combination of the two. As far as rewards, I see 3 potential prizes- being featured on the site, obviously, but also possibly being put into the official map in a later update (particularly for lot contests) or being given a special skin (exclusive baldspot multiplayer skin, anyone?) Obviously, this is all just an idea, and I'm sure that the devs have plenty enough on their plate, but with the building editor released I would imagine that this would be something plenty of people in the community would appreciate. It could also lower the workload by crowd-sourcing some of the map construction, so there's that. Cheers!
  7. As for servers, will you have a separate character for each server or will your player be persistent across each server? If I get completely kitted out in singleplayer, will I give that up upon entering multiplayer? Really, I'd just hope for a thorough set of admin controls for these types of things. (I haven't purchased the game yet; I'm upgrading to a nicer computer at the end of the week which can properly run the game and I'll pick it up then, and I'm excited for it)
