  1. This is what I would look like in an apocalypse oh man I'm too drunk to remeber how to attach an image Can I get this post removed? My character basically just had a guitar and a bunch of alcohol and cigarettes.
  2. Hell yeah nothing better than some epic Queen! Don't listen to that enough these days
  3. Cannibalism and slavery... Now that's some REALLY dark shit! Could be an interesting meta event, kind of like that one from Fallout 3 where you have that really nice seeming family who turn out to be cannibals.
  4. Once they 3D-ify this game it would be awesome if they added 5.1 sound, this could help out a lot
  5. "Sewers- Sewers run under the main parts of the Muldraugh streets (and any other cities that are added). They mostly just lead around the town with perhaps one or two leading out into the country. These would likely have the occasional zed in them, only having a lot of a manhole cover has been left open somewhere. Manhole covers taken ~30 seconds (real time) to open depending on character strength, so it's not a quick getaway type thing." All the zombies that spawn around open manholes should be crawler types!! Can you imagine? A cramped sewer tunnel... ten crawlers... all facing your direction? Your chances of making it past that are pretty much zero without a firearm. Edit: they should be crawlers because it would be assumed that they fell into the manhole. This wasn't very clear in my original post.
  6. This is such an awesome idea. And seeing other survivors as zombies might be another completely different one. That way you can kill people by "accident" and only when they're dead would their body show up as normal. You'd have to look at their behaviour a little before making a decision to attack.
  7. Nails are found in warehouse and in trailers!! Lots of nails at the trailer parks
  8. A little but not a lot. Muldraugh is like a park for me right now. I gotta really search for zombonauts to find them
  9. ^^ This guy is confusing but amusing! Confusion rating 9001 Likable rating 9.5/10 Lurker rating ??/??
  10. LMAO Good for fertilizer too! (hehe... NOT!)
  11. Shotgun holds 6 rounds, not 5, surely?Btw, I think this is an excellent mod idea, HeadshotDeluxe - if you can make a mod like this, you certainly should. Who knows, if you make it, it might end up in the vanilla game at some point... Currently, I only really use easy reload settings, but should move to normal. I was too lazy to change it - maybe that's why I never seem to get much XP for the reloading skill, is that affected by the choice of reload setting? Edit: Some ammo magazines have holes stamped in the side so you can see how many rounds are inside. But, from personal experience, a full clip is noticeably heavier than an almost empty one, and by pushing the round on top down (to feel the resistance of the spring inside the clip) you can feel if it's full, if it needs a couple more rounds to fill it up, or a lot more. Theres no point in upping reload difficulty until the next build! The settings don't save and you'll have to remember to set it to hard or normal every time you load. Pretty sure things get messed up and loaded ammo dissappears, magazines can only be found in new pistols, etc etc. I'd leave the reload difficulty alone for a while or start a new save to test it out
  12. It already does this, but you can't load an actual save. Your auto-save gets overwrote every time you sleep I don't think there's any plans to implement a save screen/loading screen
  13. How do you open multiple status windows in project zomboid? Is it editing??
  14. The number one thing to do once you find your safehouse is to clear the block around your safehouse. Either do it house by house (which is what I do) or street ny street... I think there's only about 15- 20 houses left for me to loot in Muldraugh but I'm not bothered looting anymore... easily enough food to last 1 to 1.5 years without farming. Take your time and don't try to tackle more than 2 or 3 at once. Remember that the zombies automatically prioritize themselves for killing, allow the fast zombies to meet your bat first then the shamblers and then the crawlers.
  15. Breaks the ability to make canned soup? Making soup is much more difficult and I couldn't use sugar or flour? Or make Tasty/Simple soup anymore? Very buggy at the moment but it's a cool idea. Your other mod, the clean dishes one I will keep even though it adds a lot of double context menus to almost everything including non-kitchen stuff. Being able to clean used dishes is something that really should be in the core game. Maybe use any clothing, dish cloth/bath towel (multiple cleans) or sheets for this feature?
  16. Wow you got mauled but up until then you done pretty good.
  17. I'm Pint, I'm pretty new and I really need a new hobby, look at all them posts!
  18. If you give a husky a little sled it could probably pull a lot more than 2 Big Hiking Bags full of stuff. It would also have a lot of fun doing it A bloodhound would be good for detecting zombies, npcs and other animals, a border collie could make sure your livestock doesn't run away, etc. Humanity has had a lot of time to bend the wolf to our needs! I can't wait for dogs and NPC's to be added. Cats and dogs eat vegetables but cats are usually less interested. They only reason domesticated dogs and cats eat more vegetables than their wild relatives is because of our influence on their diets over the years. Even wild/large cats and dogs/wolves probably nibble on grass and stuff every now and again to add some fiber to their diet.
  19. Bags and plaster bags, gravel bags, sand bags all usuable items like nails and duct tape etc. Bring a sledgehammer and destroy all the crates in from to get the ones at the back, destroy walls to get into the storage sheds you can't get into. I think theres only about 20 houses in Muldraugh I haven't raided yet and maybe 10 more trailers and I have taken everything of any value from these places. Still need to find a Master Cooking book tho! So yeah I'm at 3 months and 9 days and still not bored
  20. I never get bored... once you get your first supplies, the tools and what not then repeat the trip to the warehouses and get the less important stuff like say ALL the seeds and ALL the concrete
  21. Lol took me a couple of tries to realize that fighting a single zombie seemed OK until.. your out-of-breath, inescapable struggle allowed 3 more in on the action!
  22. Awesome work! I see so many of these types of buildings in RL
  23. Your fiancee is dead right. Just look at the common cold and what happens when illnesses like it (very rarely) cross the species barrier. It seldom happens. But when it does... Yikes. I think the only idea I didn't like was that dogs or other animals could become infected... It could be done realistically though. Maybe after a certain amount of time (2+ years) the "zombie" virus itself could mutate and infect 1 particular species. Randomly chosen. The infected species will prioritize attacks on its own species given a choice. That's more realistic but I still don't like the idea of animal zombies at all. A virus such as a zombie one would have to be incredibly complex and incredibly specialized. Much like the "mind-control" fungi of real life that prey on ants. (Ant behaviour not very complex/human behaviour very complex) Well... why couldn't plants and water be infected, first off? Water can become easily contaminated if left stagnant, or even come from a source that has bad bacteria or viruses growing in it already. I feel that plants would be a different story -- since they do gather up a bunch of their water and nutrients from the soil -- which also could go into getting them diseased. On the other hand, pests and bugs are known for destroying crops and spreading disease to them in the process. Viruses can't replicate without a host cell to hijack... their whole existence depends on this process. They're not alive in the same way that other creatures are, even the simplest ones like bacteria, protozoans and fungi.
