  2. Great idea! I would say the discomfort should grow exponentially every day. on top of this make it so socks that are in good condition are more rare. ive noticed that they are the easiest bandages to make now and it would be great if they either were dirty/bloody on zombies, or are worn out at least.
  3. Pretty simple concept, and you guys are by no means obligated to do something like this, but I feel like having some kind of Q&A on here would be pretty great every now and then. even if it were every 6 months or something as not to waste your guys time in any way. I think it would be nice to get some thoughts from devs on player questions/ feedback on stuff. currently as a fan I feel like a lot of feedback is tossed in the bin (which is totally fine btw, it’s your game and your vision) but it would be cool to see what suggestions you guys like, which ones you think aren’t gonna happen, and which ones you’re thinking about. this post isn’t to say you guys are completely silent on that front either, I have seen many illusions to player feedback in thursdoids ect over the past few years, but I do feel like it would be an interesting change of pace to see a more immediate and fluid answer to some questions. one example of a question that may not be the best example would be hygiene and bathroom use. your post is pretty darn clear it is a no, but people still ask from time to time about it. Now it may just be me, but I feel like having a more direct response that is more fleshed out would help with this. And I think having a more overall fleshing out of the games direction would also help this. I think with the hygiene stuff people tend to ask for two reasons 1: they think it’s fun as a concept, and 2:they think the game itself needs more to do. and that’s again where I think QA comes in. If you opened the door to more specific questions from a wider range of people (say in a live stream) then you could possibly assuage some of those questions in a finer detail. even now I feel like everything is under wraps until we see it, and it feels like there is a ton of stuff hidden in the works. Are NPCs still being worked on at all? Is it still a goal to have them extremely fleshed out? Did that plan change completely due to tech? it’s the kind of thing that getting community questions will help to illuminate to your fans. you don’t hate your fans…. Do you?? (alright I thought that last question was absurd so I thought it would be funny to read) anyway I wrote to much and maybe rambled a bit but the suggestion or TLDR is quarterly to half year Q&A with your fans (possibly live streamed?) thanx spiffo
  4. So the details of this could vary prettt widely from what I write here, but the gist of the idea would be to have items that our character finds/starts with that have meaning to the character over a course of time. these items could be things like rings and jewelry that currently don’t have much value. Maybe a photograph I’ve seen this sort of this suggested before, but what I didn’t see was the request to tie this into the characters mood. make it so these items could break/ fall off/ fall out of pockets when sprinting / tripping on the ground. the next time you look through your inventory your character gets panicked and could even get depressed. I can imagine a thought bubble or icon showing that you lost or broke that item. this could be applied to all kinds of items. ive also seen favorite foods suggested before which i think would be really interesting too. maybe your character hates vegetables, or is a vegetarian. (Maybe a trait?) but yeah hopefully this makes sense. I think zomboid could use a few more motivating mechanics and feel like this could add to players pushing themselves to hold onto/ search for something that they lost or look for items the character wants
  5. Never tried it but to tell you the truth that’s no so much what I’m looking for persay. there is a mod that lets you favorite stuff already which is good and all, I want them to use a system like that where the player is drawn to the objectives they set in a more active way. possibly with a reward for completing certain tasks like mood buff or something like tgat
  6. okay so obviously there would be some items that can fit into pockets and such, but now that all the items will be 3d it would be nice to see more items show up attached to the character. If we can attach a frying pan to our backs, or a rolling pin, I dont see why we couldnt have a few cans/small items appear attached to the hip/waist. I think the more that PZ can do to display inventory at a glance would be for the better. We fight zombies for a number of reasons, but it would be cool to see a zombie with items on them to know who we should prioritize. This and a general inventory rework- High Five alright!
  7. I like how this post is right above a seperate post with the same name, but just with exclamation marks. feels very competitive!
  8. I am not even sure i agree with what you said but star wars kiid always gets a spiffo
  9. I hope they overhaul the crafting system to be honest. It is serviceable for sure, just cumbersome in its current form. Feel like it should be a lot more contextual and recopies should basically all be learned as you go.
  10. would be cool. You know what to do Tony! Hit em wit a spiffo!
  11. poppin a spiffo down here. I love the sound, however this person is on to something i think. I am not an audiophile by any stretch of the imagination, but i think the point about white noise is valid here. It doesn't sound bad by any means, but i do feel like some of the other sounds get buried in an odd way sometimes. GG Tony!
  12. As the title states I think this game would benefit with something that lets players set goals as a mechanic in game. how do you do this though? I was thinking about it and maybe there are a good amount of ways to do this, but one that came to mind was when I was right clicking on a door i wanted to disassemble. I had no hammer ect, so it would be cool if in the future we could put a star or something on that option (kind of like favoriting an action) now when we find the corresponding item maybe it could have a star on it, or have a green highlight or something showing us that the item is used for that previous task. I think you could have bonuses also by completing your own goals. perhaps your mood increases or somethiing like that. naturally you have to think of ways to avoid exploiting this sort of thing, but idk I feel like the game lets you make your own goals already so adding some features to bolster this could be cool!
  13. Also instead of what he said raise the resolution of the tiles!! 👨‍🦳 also OP take no offense to my reply it’s meant to be funny 😁
  14. Yes! Indie stone do this!! also have your clothing tear and have items call out at higher/over full capacity!! but this suggestion 4 sure!!
  15. It would be cool if there was a system that connected workshop maps via a large world map. maybe you start in Kentucky for a start, then when you get to the edge of the map you can leave the map to a world map of sorts where you can pick a destination. when people make mod maps they could decide where the map would take place. You can also have intermediate maps as well where players would stop on the way to their destination. Imagine PZ mixed with Oregon trail.
  16. I think having a more detailed map system would be the ideal situation. Currently its just hard to tell where your map is really for or what you are seeing. I think programming a sort of local area map for some starting professions/ in certain homes would be more ideal. we can kind of edit maps also but to expand that system to make it more user friendly would be great
  17. yes at least allow us to sit on toilets and lay down in bathtubs. also animations for turning on showers and such would be great. Doesn't have to be a mechanic as modders can implement this but to have enough functionality to warrant the work that goes into it would be very nice
