  1. I wanted to add NPC interaction, but a friend was coming home so i had to post quickly. I added NPCs into the mix. Thanks for notifying me.
  2. I'm not sure if this has been suggested yet, but i suppose it wasn't since i can't find any topics about it. I think most of us would be mad if a zombie scratched us, or something in the base malfunctioned. Same should go with our character. Basically, the more angry you get, the faster you will fire/swing your weapon and the harder you will hit. I'll try to explain it with the in-game moodle system. Rage Level 1: Fast swing, More damage, less accuracy. Rage Level 2: Even faster swings, harder hits and about the same accuracy. Rage Level 3: You start to get too angry. Your emotions block your mind and cannot think straight. Swings remain at the same speed and you apply even more damage. Accuracy is severly impaired. Rage Level 4: You can barely aim. Complex thinking is completely out of your league. Your swing speed and damage remain unchanged. Edit : NPCs could be intimidated by your ''rage'' and not negotiate with you. This can be a double-edged blade. NPCs will be intimidated by you, so they won't try to rob you, nor trust you. Also, Traits that could make less or more prone to being angry could take place.
  3. that's what the bloody effect is, but i had originally designed it for when you would bleed. I was mainly considered on the players effects. I didn't see this flaw and it would be nice to add but i feel zombies wouldn't be attracted to there own blood so it would probably be used to make you more uncomfortable or such rather than attraction purposes. but good idea and thank you for the response. the third installment should have that included along with a few other things, after i finish my ideas for vehicles. That is another huge project. What if bloody clothes made your char panic or pass out? Hemophobia?
  4. ''I told you not to make soup out of rotten food!'' (My group leader after my newbie friend fed him some soup. He died about 30 mins ingame later.)
  5. ^ I'm not sure if cheating in PZ is possible. You can just put easier zombies in sandbox mode if you can't handle the normal ones, which is not my case because I am a level 80 zombie hunter . < Wishes name changes in the forums existed. V In a serious relationship with a spoon.
  6. I think you should get bloody after killing a zombie with a sharp weapon, or after crushing its head. Ex: Stomping a zombie's head should make your shoes/pants bloody, or crushing its head with a blunt weapon could have a random chance of where it splatters. I'm all in for most clothes, however this could take plenty of time to implement.
  7. Fell from a rooftop, collapsed to diseases, died of hunger or thirst, or any of the causes of death in PZ, at the end of the day, you die. Everybody dies. Some just need a little help .
  8. As much as i would like to raid someone's safehouse and wear their supplies as a trophies, i hate the fact that another human being has to sit through the character creation and the loading screens for the second time. Then again, survival of the fittest, right? Go Team Bandit !
  9. What if i want to be Clint Eastwood?
  10. I'd put on a pair of sunglasses and ride my jet fighter made out of biceps into the sunset. What would be the first thing you'd do if you could be invisible?
  11. You know you play too much Project Zomboid when you try to eat a cigarette.
  12. I think this is going really well. The irregular number of zombies in the map is awesome, but did you change their AI? I feel like they're a bit more dumb than before.
  13. This suggestion would add a nice touch to the realism in the game, but at the same time, mostly useless. : Bullets There are all kinds of bullets. However, i will focus on the main ones : The ones that are made to penetrate the body with as little damage as possible (Mainly small handguns for self-defense, ex. 9x1 9mm), and the ones made to break into the body and stay there, causing as much internal damage as they can (Guns used for hunting or military purposes. Ex. .30-06 Springfield). The bullet casing / shell is the part of the bullet that contains the required gunpowder to shoot the bullet into your target. In most guns, they are nothing but garbage after the bullet is fired, but i think they would have some kind of aesthetic use in PZ. I don't really know what the Military uses the casings for, but they claim they're actually useful. However, what they do with those casings is out of topic. What i want to focus in is mostly: A. Aesthetics, as mentioned before. B. Tracking players by the bullet casings they drop while shooting. C. Setting up traps against players who follow B. D. Future Smelting purposes? I do not want to look further into bigger guns nor shotguns. Of course, the shotguns should drop their shells as well, but they are ineffective. The shells could be implemented for pickup, but this would highly contradict : B. No one is going to be shooting a shotguns while attracting zeds all over just for the lolz. You're most probable to find bullet casings. C. Unless you're trying to hunt people with serious mental problems, it's not going to work. Atleast not often. D. Most of shotgun shells in the U.S are made of plastic. What are you going to achieve by smelting plastic? Now, my utterly awesome suggestion has some... Complications. These complications will be listed from lowest to highest. (Please read Complication F) A. Same as corpses before the build where you could move them (Can't remember which one), they will most probably stay in the floor for a couple days until the server / game despawns them. B. This is probably a waste of time. C. Too many people shooting at eachother drops too many gun casings. This could crash your game. D. Making every bullet casing identical to one another is boring. If you wanted it to be more interesting, a bullet casing of said caliber should have about 5 separate sprites. F. Again, huge waste of time. This suggestion is probably to make your mind flow. I thought that shooting was a bit unrealistic in terms of gun functionality, so i wanted to bring up bullet casings and shotgun shells. SIDE NOTE : I have also thought about suggesting the bullet casings and shells as just effects. Animation on your character. Take that as an alternate suggestion. So that would make the suggestion of adding gun shells into the game as an effect or as an item. ANOTHER SIDE NOTE : I'm not sure if they are even called Bullet Casings. Geez, i really am losing my English skills :C (What am i doing with my life!?! )
  14. Oh, it's Team Fortress 2 all over again.. Jokes aside, i don't think our average Joe knows if a material is good for making nails or not, let alone craft the nail.
  15. With that length, i think the blade would have just popped off and hurt someone. If a spear can't stand a slash, i don't think it's gonna make it past a lunge. (Sorry for the late response :c)
  16. Metal Gear Solid had drugs and they weren't mentioned in the rating display.
  17. NPC means Non-Playable Character. If you can play as those characters, then they are no longer NPCs.
  18. Edit : Sorry, i thought you were talking about another topic about panic. I'm sorry, i didn't see your post :C However, i wanted this suggestion more pointing towards the Brave trait and how neat it would be with some modifications.
  19. Desensitivity isn't really a word, but i'm going with it. My english isn't that strong anyways. I know that the ''Desensitivity'' mechanic is already in the game, but i thought of this slight change: I think all of us would fear a zombie horde, and in order to beat fear you have to look at the zombies right in the eyes and grab them by the horns. In other words, if your character is not used to killing zombies, he should enter panic more often. However, if the character is used to killing zombies, he breaks the fear. It's just like a phobia. If you run away from a horde, you accomplish nothing, unlike where in the game, where you will get less panic the next time you pass a horde. However, to beat it, you must face your fear and get rid of that horde. Basically, it shouldnt be the amount of zombies your character has seen, but the amount of zombies your character has killed that reduce the amount of panic you get from seeing zombies. Also, this could lead to a minor trait like Brave to be way more useful, and even getting revamped. Ex: 25 Zombies killed / Selected on character traits : Brave Trait - Panic increases slowly. 50 Zombies killed (25 with Brave) : Reckless Trait - Cannot enter into Extreme Panic, Panic increases slowly 100 Zombies killed (75 with Brave): Steel Nerves Trait - Cannot enter into Strong Panic, Panic increases slowly 200 Zombies killed( 125 with Brave) : Daredevil Trait - Cannot enter into strong Panic, Panic increases slowly, Panic decreases faster. (Even though, this can be quite exploitable when other zombie mass-killing weapons are added. Maybe looking at alot of zombies dying quickly makes you insane?)
  20. 1. Opening Dropped Bags Pretty straight forward suggestion. If you find a survivor's bag in MP, you can't just lay it on the ground and open it. No, you have to unequip one of your containers, equip the dead survivor's container and check what's inside. I think that dropped containers should count act a static container once dropped (Ex. Shelves, Fridges.), and act normally when equipped. (If the bag was on someone's back and that person died, it will be automatically dropped, and will not appear on their corpse.) 2. Sleeping Bags Sleeping bags could be craftable (1 Pillow, 4 sheets, thread and needle) or they could be spawned in cabins and warehouses. If placed on an isolated spot, you can sleep in them. Good for making beds for bases made from scratch. These weigh less than tent and cannot be used outside while raining. They give warmth when sleeping. If sleep quality would ever be added, these could be laid inside a tent for more comfort.
  21. Imperfection is Beauty; Madness is Genius. I'd rather be a basket case than absolutely boring.

    1. Rathlord

      Rathlord

Good to know I'm a beautiful genius, then!

  22. Well, there is a spawn rate of shotguns on the kindergarten, so if 'MURICAN toddlers can have freaking shotguns, why can't us, 'MURICAN citizens have rocket launchers? I mean, we can't have laser guns for every 'MURICAN citizen because we would arise suspicion, and aliens would ally with communists to bomb us with the absence of social classes in modern socioeconomic systems. Of course, our great statue of liberty could block all the attacks only using her pinky finger. But still, we don't like to bother her.Anyways, why would you want to blow up those innocent cars? Those cars were made either by fine 'MURICAN engineers or by poor chinese children (Both sources are completely O.K.). However, you SHOULD try to blow up communists in cars. They are either planting a car bomb or putting on a suicide bomb vest. You don't need to evacuate any 'MURICAN citizens out of the area because they can just drown the blast with their balls of steel. If you're gonna use the rocket launcher for blowing up communists, i approve this in the name of 'MURICA! Okay, I'm finished.
  23. I saw some people play the beta and i thought it was crap. However, when i saw how fast it progressed, i thought it was quite promising, so i got it. And when i played it, it was awesome
