Necromatic_Corgi
I got this idea from watching the long dark, Instead of the crowbar being a useless item we could use it to pry open containers and doors. Would this work well with zomboid? Kuren, Navarome and Bennytheowl
RoboMat
I think it would work well. Shameless plug: http://theindiestone.com/forums/index.php/topic/33-lockpicking-mod-171/ Necromatic_Corgi

Adamiks
+1Â For now crowbar is a big one-handed, 3kg's piece of junk with ugly graphic.

Fuji
Butterknives work exceptionally well for opening doors too, a bit better than a credit card.

Teesee
+1 too. Crowbars should allow to force open locked doors, with a sound penalty (thus attracting zeds) and the impossibility to lock them afterwards, maybe even close them. And what about windows? Prying them open, less noisy than breaking them and you can actually shut them back but they wouldn't be as tough as before if zeds come headbanging. ChaosLegion
We could go beyond crowbar. Screwdrivers and paper clips for lockpicking, bump keys, battery powered power saws, angle grinders and drills, glass cutters, credit cards, bolt cutters, propane-gas torches, explosives, thermite, c4 and god only knows what else. Each could be good at certain skills and with different amount of noise made in process. It may seem excessive but also allows to make certain locations much harder to enter. It is already in game but for sledgehammer only. There is a good number of suggestions about "break and enter" in this forum. Would be nice to integrate all those ideas in a single topic. ChaosLegion
molotov as it is now much more fearsome weapon in PZ.Thermite is clearly for fiery mayhem and mayhem only. It could be used to melt through locks but why ?Trusty crowbar gordon freeman style fits better. King jjwpenguin
