  2. @Lornsteyn Well ive seen quite a few topics about how hard the new combat is. Some of them are hidden behind "I like hard games BUT ... " Devs changes how combat work a lot (and its fine). I cant see how people can complain about it after a few days. They play the same old way they did in b40 and expect it to work in b41. You can find a lot of gameplays at twich or YT, where you see that 41.14 was playable and with the right tactic you can still kill 100's of zeds and survive more than a few days.
  3. Ok, few things from me: The new build is great, thanks a lot guys. Now few things that im worried about: 1) dont change ballance so fast. What i see here and at steam is that a lot of guys complain about difficulty after few days of IWBUMS... Play a bit more, try to adapt. Dont whine at forum becaouse you died 4 times in a row. Look at some youtubers, they are dooing just fine at survivor (apocalypse) mode. Its not 100% ballance issues, its you not adapting to the new game. 2) I have mixed feeling about new game modes (brawler , survivor etc). Imo they will spread out, small, multiplayer community. I know that some players may have problems with new fighting mechanics. But instead of creating many "game modes" just utilize that skill system. Multi hit etc is cool, just merge that to fighting skill and/or strenght. You want to kill zombies - build brawler character and dont sellect brawler mode. That will also add a lot of deepth to multiplayer system and NPCs.

    Actualy I preffer less skills but more important ones. Instead of 8 combat related skills 1 would be fine. Just add perk system each 2 lvls, where you can choose 1 combat perk on top of passive buff. Same goes for Agility skills. Its weird that I can fight like a champ with long blunt and at the same time have no idea what to do with short ones. Beside that the update looks cool.
  6. perks and traits - yes skills (that we can lvl up ) no. We have so many bad skills that offer nothing that I would merge most of them to make 1 interesting - like: traping foraging and fishing into -> survival. sneaking , nimble, lightfooted -> stealth
  7. AFAIK average joe theory dont work with new lvl system. I know that most of us dont know shit about smelting , smithing etc. Most of us cant build a stairs , areosol bombs, metal walls, fix car etc. Going back to medieval after few years after apocalypse is nothing unreal. My RL plan for Zapocalypse would be sword and shield not guns etc. I agree that blacksmithing needs to be hard and uncommon and thats why we have lvl system for all skills - just make it lvl 8-10 and PZ wont turn into Minecraft 2.0
  8. It can be like only first 10 actions in given profession will give you xp. And then you can decide what you want to do: simple things to get xp in easy way or try more complicated stuff at the risk of damaging parts, but the xp reward is higher.
  9. Just add daily xp cap for some professions. That will stop grinding.
  10. Game crash when you try to sleep, also after reloading sometimes fuel inside car and generators is gone.
  11. I like that fog, another challenge to overcome. Dont nerf it, make it be a hard choice to go out in foggy day, not just a game aesthetic

  13. Same problem here, my car hit something and was rooted. When i reload the game a big van spawned at top of my car and i can do anything (well i can leave my car) Also pillar with flashlight dont work (no light).
  14. Also yet another profession. Its probably story for another big topic but we have way to many professions that dont give us much by lvling them up. Mechanic , metalworking, engineer, electrician - ar all meh, merge them to 1-2 professions filled with perks etc. Like instead of Traping , fishing and foraging merge that to one survival skill that will become interesting pick.

  16. IMO car spawns are to "clean", all of them are nicely parked. I miss some abandoned cars mid road, car barricades across the road. In general its too clean for zombie apocalypse. PS. Random item spawn at car trunks would be great !
  17. i bet for 2020-2021. And no, we dont need great NPC, well dont exprect them. Its still one person work. All I need is RimWorld like NPc`s for base bulding part and Death Road to Canada AI for looting and combat. If they hit that lvl of AI ill be more than happy
  18. I dont see any vehicles, 100% im on vehicle branch, new game, vehicle test checkbox is marked - MU spawn.

  21. Build works great but after 10-20 min of playing the game freeze every few sec. log: Will cars ever have more than 2 seats ?
  22. Not a skill, trait yes. We have way too many skills that are worthless. First flesh out skills to make them interesting pick before adding new ones. Cooking, farming, nimble they have little to no impact compared to carpentry etc.
