    Player-built walls cut away on higher levels completely - is a known issue. There is a fix for that coming in one of the next patches.

    This is happening in my friends server I play on. Anytime we sleep when playing alone time is still speeded up when we wake.. This causes many issues including game crashes and characters getting suck below the map. We are using no mods. In fact when I quit into the menu even the developer text and loading text is speeded up until I quit to desktop.

    Hi all, 
     
     a recent incident got me thinking about how we get in and out of vehicles. I am currently stuck between a barbed fence and my car and two other ‘crashed’ cars. I cannot escape. 
     
     Why can’t we crawl under cars like the zombies do? (Removing backpacks may be necessary). Why can’t we smash crashed car windows and get in and out slowly?

    I had a thought about this. The game is about realism right. So why have two of the main tools in the game (axes and guns) be so unrealistically fragile? 
     It would be better to have the axe and guns require maintenance rather than breaking and to do this in a balanced way why not introduce a maintenance system for them and have the maintenance tools/kits be rare? Gun cleaning kits and axe sharpening tools could be the balancer and would be far more realistic.

    I found an M-14 with full 'condition' and after a few pew pew sessions its down to 1 quarter condition... I own and shoot guns regularly and even my shittiest cheap guns don't just fall apart after a few hundred rounds... Let us manage them by having to clean them ect. Not have the break after 500 rounds...
    Also the axes are hilariously weak. An axe will become blunt looooong before it breaks so let us maintain them first. Make them last longer but require sharpening because at the moment the condition system is unrealistically silly..

    Still experiencing this, would love some feedback to whether this is a known issue or not. I was enjoying the game a lot until the sound update, when this issue arose.

    Eh sorry to dissapoint, but I think I've seen this to be in the Red class as a no, meaning that developers have no intention of adding this ever, it was either this seperately or hygiene in general (including this overall). And yes it would make the game closer to reallity, but it would be so annoying in the vanilla/default game that I would never turn this game on ever again, thnakfully there's a mod that adds this if you want to well do it when the nature calls in-game for some reason besides getting yourself annoyed on purpose, maybe kinky immersion I guess?

    I updated KillCount mod for solo games having specific counters for vehicle kills and fire kills.
    It works with B41.52 and B41.50.
     
    I'd be happy to have your feedback, especially on how to count Zombies fall death but also on any improvement you would expect from such mod.

    Majorjim reacted to jeanfeels in [Noiseworks] Dampen that reverb a touch, it's kinda silly. Also give us a way to mute/change the jumpscare sting!   
    So I just started playing the new patch, and the Noiseworks has a LOT of awesome to it. I love the new sounds, especially those crispy deep menu button clicks. So satisfying. I could hit buttons all day long.

    However, when I got ingame I immediately felt something was a little off. Walked outside and it hit me after i'd walked around hearing noises for a bit.

    Y'all cranked the reverb up waaaaaay too high. The echo. The room wet mix. Whatever it's called in Noiseworks, it really does not feel right outdoors especially. It's..... okay, ish, indoors, so long as the room is wide open like a warehouse, but in a furnished room with carpets and all that jazz sound does NOT echo like that and it gives me actual migraines.

    Not sure if those settings are editable on the fly but those would be my number 1 target to give a slider in the audio options, as this is something that varies from person to person.  Hell, if we had access to the basic audio settings like wet mix, damping, reverb, stereo width, etc i feel like while many people wouldn't immediately use them most people know what bad reverb sounds like and could tweak them.

    Even if not, please consider toning it down a little, it's ridiculous outdoors, and turns the background wind noise into a white noise esque hiss that genuinely gives me a literal headache after less than 5 minutes.

    Speaking of toning it down, the jumpscare chord is a very divisive thing amongst zomboid players. I know y'all are very attached to it in the dev team but please make some concessions for those of us playing that either have weak hearts or simply find jumpscare chords to be the laziest form of horror shorthand ever devised. it's literally interchangeable with the Metal Gear Solid alert noise in function, and honestly it really is far too bombastic and over the top. 

    Please give us an option to mute the jumpscare chord and/or an option to change it to something more toned down like a zombie growl or literally a metal gear solid alert noise if you feel so inclined.

    Note that I don't feel it's something that needs to be removed, far from it, it's a horror trope that many people like and expect to find, it's just that there's a sizeable chunk of people out there that find it annoying or worse and they deserve to be given the option to do something about it.

    Anyway, that's my input on the new Noiseworks from a surface level, i'm gonna keep playing and see if any other issues pop up.
