  1. If you ask because of the "=" than I can say: it doesn´t work with or without them. I also tried a simple "PublicDescription=test" and "PublicDescription=[COOP][RP] RJ Server", none of it worked. Is it possible the server is being blocked from probing the master server list?
  2. Merged your events back into your server page, they don't need their separate thread and they certainly don't need two separate threads.
  3. From what I have heard this problem usually appears when the router (or whatever you have) usually just comes down to funky, or odd equipment. Not entirely sure there's much we can do for you tbh.
  4. It's not a question of forwarding the ports being the best way, it's just something that HAS to be done, I assume you must be self hosting off a windows machine or something?
  5. In your control panel there should be a section that gives "FTP Details" these can be used in conjunction with an FTP program like FileZilla, to connect to the server and in the Zomboid/Server folder you can add the file there. If you want to generate the file, you can go into your ProjectZomboid directory and there should be a PZSettings.exe program that you can run to create the settings and export it to your desktop or something so that you can add the file to the server.
  6. Both you and a friend should download the mod and install it in the necessary Zomboid -> Mods folder and install it on the servers mod folder as well (if the server is being run from a seperate computer that is) then in the config, there should be a "Mods=" section, if there's no line like that in there, then add "Mods=" plus the name of the mods.
  7. Even better, I'm not sure about the modding capabilities, but you could probably have someone host an online whitelist/forum (database w/API), and have a mod for fetching/checking players against it. A better solution would actually probably be having a RakNet bot programmed to do that sort of thing that can connect to every server and vets any connections, allowing them or rejecting them as it sees fit, since I'm not sure how much of Multiplayer commands are exposed in LUA and whether PZ Lua could actually call out to a central SQL database. Ignoring that, I have never agreed with a centralised blacklist/whitelist especially for a community as small as PZ. It was raised earlier but someone could arguably be unfairly banned, and with the way PZ Server Listings there's no way to effectively communicate why they have been banned, since PZ doesn't do personalised ban messages. The only way a player who had been unfairly blacklisted would know that he had to go to this "consortium" of players, was if the player was aware of their existence already which I guarantee you the vast majority of people wouldn't. I also have a strong feeling, everybody is really digging the idea now, but then someone would set it up, and after a couple of weeks/months the interest would plummet as a whole and would eventually be left to these select few actually managing it. Ignoring that, how do you handle an appeal? Who judges it? Does everybody have to judge it? Alright, then you have to make sure everybody is religiously checking this place for ongoing appeals, otherwise players would be stuck waiting around not being able to play on a server they want to go on (if they didn't just go to another server to ignore all this hassle in the first place) couldn't have one person being the be all end all, not even a small selection of people since that would mean that people have appeals blocked/lifted by a select few. Who for all we know could be trying to troll the system. I don't think it would be a good idea personally, but then they're not my servers so it's not my say. Just as long as you don't expect any official TIS support.
  8. Moved. This is an odd one for sure, only thing I can think of is traffic being blocked for the ports, but that usually produces a different kind of error. What port numbers do you have forwarded?

    [Nitrado] soft reset

The instructions still apply, except instead of it being a bat it will be a .sh file instead since Nitrado uses Linux. However, whether they allow you access to this file is a completely different matter.
  10. Wait Waffle day is on my birthday! This must be a sign, it must also explain my strong love of Waffles.
  11. As far as I know, no. Changing the SandBox Vars will require a server restart, but changing the server config does not require a server restart. Rather it would require an admin to execute the /reloadoptions command in chat.
  12. Try saving it in PZ's main media/lua area. I have to find the exact path but I'm pretty sure there's some sort of MP/server folder in there you need to put the file into. I would have to check when I'm home.
  13. Buy a server, then just give a read over of some of the pinned threads in this section: http://theindiestone.com/forums/index.php/forum/72-help/ They should be able to bring you up to speed (The Linux setup guide won't apply to you since I'm assuming you'll be buying a ready to play server.)
  14. The Feels, has been merged into the "What are you listening to?" thread.
  15. Yeah, I found it suspicious when they were really lowballing their budget. Coupled with the fact that if they're looking for publishers, this isn't the way to do it. Should it get funded then the publisher kills the game, it leaves the paying customer screwed over.
  16. There's a limited amount of testing the devs can realistically do themselves, which is the reason the IWBUMS releases exist. So for better or worse, much of the testing is in practice up to the community. I also think a huge problem is that a lot of server providers don't support the IWBUMS branch, which causes problems for numbers with big servers, meaning can't get a good amount of testing done.
  17. Eh,in XCOM im customizing my characters to have the names and look like the people in the forums. The only thing I can do is build their characters acording to the profile pics, titles and usernames I better be the sexy Scottish soldier that's also somehow the Geek of the group, who's ability to not pick up woman is used for comic relief but eventually he lays down his life for the squad and everybody is sad for like 5 minutes but then everybody just forgets about him. You have heard my decree.
