  1. Well, as I said in the previous comment, using flour to stop bleeding, for starters. It's been awhile since I've played, so I don't know what's been implemented that I might be able to come up with other stuff. I suppose that'd be true. I hadn't thought about that ^^;
  2. One last thing in slight relation to my previous idea comment, by the way; Project Zomboid is a hyper-realistic zombie survival sim, correct? Why can't we make stupid decisions? Like, we can't use certain things until we read books or have the training to use them, like generators, but if this game is advertising itself on its realism, then it should allow stupid, fruitless, and even deadly decisions to be made. I just feel that'd add to the realism, even though that'd probably be better fit for a mod.
  3. Ah, well then scratch all but the last bit where medical professions or trained individuals can identify infection types and proper treatment.
  4. I was wondering if there was gonna be different kinds of infections and diseases? So far, from what I've seen, if you get an infection, its always a zombie infection. You could cut yourself on freshly broken glass and become a zombie. Or you could eat a rotten piece of fruit and become a zombie. That's kinda ridiculous, to me. I was thinking there could be different diseases and infections, in addition to several improvements on the medical system like using certain items that aren't medical in nature to treat wounds. Corn starch/meal and flour stop bleeding in real life, why not in the game? This could carry a risk of infection, of course, but again, turning into a zombie by stopping the bleeding is crazy. That's where more infection types come in. There doesn't have to be a lot, but it'd be great if it wasn't just "Infection = Zombie Virus." Maybe someone with medical training(through profession, hobby, reading books, etc) could identify the type and proper treatment for it. This has been bugging me for a long time, so I thought I'd post it.
  5. For some reason, it won't let me take off bandages. It says to press A to view the treatment options, but when I do, nothing happens. The box is highlighted, and there's nothing to activate with the A button when I try to press it, but the treatment options don't show up. I'm using a GameStop wired Xbox 360 controller, and otherwise the controls work fine, more or less.
  6. For once, Captain Brannigan says something smart. Hahaha
  7. Or not.. Well, I apologise if my message was inappropriate in any way. I'm kind of new to the forums. More weapons
  8. I believe it's been explained somewhere in this thread, but personal hygiene would turn the game into a micromanagement simulator, and zombie camo is just unrealistic with the lore(i.e. Max Brooks zombies).
  9. Is this still gonna happen?
  10. I think it's from a movie, but I never found out the name of it... It was really old, but these govt dudes put some kind of agent in a church basement, and it broke open, reviving the graveyard, right? The zombies could talk, too, and eating flesh took away the pain of being undead... Is that what you were referencing?
  11. I'll admit that that is a little ridiculous, but as it has been mentioned, it's only day 3 of the new build, so they probably haven't finished tweaking. Plus, the whole purpose of the build is to find bugs.
  12. Well, here's your problem: You want a game you can breeze through no problem, instead of the most realistic zombie survival sim there is. The devs have stated that they will increase difficulty, and that they are basing much of the lore on Max Brooks style zombies. I don't know about you, but this is probably the most accurate representation of what a real zombie apocalypse(Max Brooks style) would be. Firing a PISTOL is practically suicide in a zombie apocalypse. Now, I don't know jack squat about guns, but I'm pretty sure a pistol isn't nearly as loud as a shotgun, let alone a sawn-off. Plus, just because it's a suburb, doesn't mean there are no zombies in range of hearing you. Considering the level of sound a gun releases upon firing, and the distribution of population, even if you fired it on the edge of the map, as far from civilization as possible, with as much sound buffering as you could build, I'm pretty sure that at least 1 zombie would hear you. The devs have also stated that they would be balancing out the new build, and since it's only day 3 since it was released, I can't imagine that they've finished yet. Game development takes a very long time, which is one of the reasons why PZ is still in Early Access on Steam. If they didn't put the time and effort into making a quality game, supporters like us would get a crappy, bug filled, mashed together, cash grab of a game like so many other games out there. I suggest that you be patient with the hard working members of the PZ team. They'll get to lowering spawns(or at least balancing them), in due time. Also, try not to fire off a shotgun unless you're either trying to die, or trying to kill everyone in your vicinity in MP.
  13. Definitely more "Zombie Survival" and less "Life Sim With Zombies". However, the sudden change is a bit of a shock to my system. I like it overall, though!
  14. Screwdriver + item = Dismantle
