  1. dood! best mod ever. (nice job with the SMG's)
  2. "Zombies now clump together into groups more." You guys couldn't be more awesome, I think this was one of the best additions to the game... and the medical system in the same build?! THANK...YOU! great work as usual devs!
  3. I am not answering until you stop screaming. that was kind of a joke but kinda serious if someone's up to take it serious...lol (i was playing some fallout at the time) ps:sorry for the screaming, it happens sometimes
  4. WAIT, WOULD IT BE POSSIBLE TO CHOP OFF A ZOMBIE'S BODY PART (HEAD/ARMS/LEGS) WITH FOR EXAMPLE, AN AXE OR A SHOTGUN BLAST?
  5. just letting it out here but i have to say this... the more ways I have to die in this game the better it gets, that's basically how it works for me. This new health thing is going to be a great addition to the game, great thinking devs!
  6. kkkkkkk gotta love potheads!
  7. don't stop running... I've never made it longer than a day
  8. nice set of weapons!! well, here at home there's not much since I just started living by myself but what I got so far: - Good Old Baseball bat (wood though) -some raquets/other sports bats (not good for smashing heads but may knock a walker over) - couple o'kitchen knives -silverware of course -hammer, (other common tools) -I would not do this, but I could always use my bass as a head smashing instrument as well... lol ... no guns for me since I live in brasil so... yeah, I would be pretty fucked in a zompocalypse ... It would be me and ma'bat.
  9. This build is so kick ass!!! It's getting harder to survive ilikeit... everything is better now except for the loneliness ... (i know... soon...)
  10. from now on, the post-apocalypse days will be brighter... *dat infinite gaze into the sunset horizon*
  11. creative post! i've seen there's some people with good taste in music around here, nice! here's one of the best real hip hop songs I think is a pretty good song which I am listening to as I type this. enjoy!
  12. I agree with the profession specific skills, and just to add something, I think there should be of course more negative traces than positive ones, I mean the good ones cost more and the bad ones less, so there's no way you'll make a perfect chucknorris-like character, also the profession items mod could be implemented in the game, as for the lockpicking mod which I find pretty much A MUST to have a nice play. ... 1) the sneaking ability could be look into more carefully, maybe because it is one of the most important skills if you want to be alive for long, and would make playing with extreme setting more possible instead of just running for your life distracting and hiding until you die 6h-8h into the game since there's no way to build stuff or setting off an alarma and not getting surrounded in seconds by every inhabitant in town... I say that because in an apocalypse that killed everyone and where you will most certantly die i don't believe zombies would just be like TWD zombies unless they were at insane number, or if they weren't that many they should at least be fast zombies right? so they could kill everyone not just because you made a mistake once, but because they would chase you. 2)Specific loot in specific places in my favorite issue so far!!! totally agree on #3 3) can wait for the multiplayer/npcs!!!!!!!!!!! walking into someone alive would be great,... feels kinda lonely out there with the whole town to yourself
  13. DAYUUMMM Mr. Tommysticks this mod has turned out to be my favorite mod of all time!! Really aprecciate all the time and effort you've put into it, it turned out great!! making a lot of use of the mighty and quiet crossbow and the mp5 with silencer which btw both just sound awesome thanks again for making this great game even better with this mod since I a fan of nice weaponry, just found the distro pretty unbalanced still you probably already know that... I think it's ready for use, everything seems to work great over here. Gj Tommyguns! @Tommysticks I've got some suggestions as I don't think everything is realistic enough. I've changed some things in the script like weapon stats, the lumber pallet (good idea but who can put 25 planks in his inventory? And a weight of 3 is of course way too less, I made 9:9 out of it), I've added screwdriver to the multi-tool, which you can also use to craft arrows/bolts for your crossbow and longbow. Changed the MREpacks to 6 from 12 as they're not super hard to find and otherwise you'll have too much food. Realisticly not everyone has these huge MREpacks.. And some other stuff. I really love the mod and appreciate the time you've put into this, just my two cents And a question too; which Ruger are you comparing the one in your mod with? Thanks! Yo man! could you post here what changes you made I actually agreed with you here and am willing to try it out if possible.
  14. I rather wait longer and have a proper build than rushing everyone just so you can play days sooner... kinda unnecessary.
  15. downloaded it yesterday! didn't fix the folder yet though... i'm about to do that right now and thanks for the quick response man! I understand the reloading machanism now thanks! I've looked over all the reloading lua files 'the whole night lol I see that you are saying now, I going to install everything like you suggested and try to make it work this time with the new update, THANKS MAN! a question, do you know if there are any issues with loading the mod while on compatibility mode? oh and about the distro, i just added a few spawn places nothing i presume you don't already know but what i'd like to show you are the numbers(which i don't exactly now what they mean actually lol). The guns seemed to spawn a lot before and when i changed to those numbers they were rare to find but if i look at the right places I would be almost sure to find them(since i'm know where they are most likely to spawn because i wrote it). like for example there is a chance to find some pistol or knife at zombies, since some might be survivors who didn't do so well but were armed when they died, although it is (what i think is) a very tiny possibility to spawn, i does happen, it happen with me so maybe it's not that tiny as i though lol
  16. YO MAN! lately this has been my favorite mod, because i like guns ... anyways, I'm far away from knowing how to code and shit, but i mess sometimes with the scripts and whatnot, i did mess around with your lua file about the distribution, check it out if you have some time, i tested and so far so good: -made weapons on your mod pretty rare, like really hard to find which i think gives more realism to the looting activity(although i did manage to find a few in just 2 days in game[found around 3 .38 revolver{these i think should be the most commom gun so in a KY town in 'Murica a few people must have i right?} and a supressed AR15]). so not much trouble in the distro i think. -all your guns had spawn places at all cabinets shelves and crates so i changed the weapons like the ar-15 and colt 45 and mp5 to high as fuck rates to spawn at the police station and almost or completely scarce at other common places, due to those being overpowered weapons among the others, the ak is the rarest though. haven't find any yet, no rounds also. -resuming my simple work on this mod i just added a few spawn places for looting them, from the "AnotherNotEnoughBagsMod" since i liked where those bags spawn(even in zombies), although they spawned kinda of a lot sometimes so i messed around in your mod to make it better in my point of view. -bullets are hard as hell to find, which made me sad for having an ar-15 and no ammo, but i think it's even better this way since it would be really hard to find the specific ammo for a gun in a situation like a zombie apocalypse, except for the gun store(which i didn't add because i don't know the right name for the spawn place at the gunstore like for example 'gunstore' 'shelves' or whatever...) -I am in fact having trouble with the reloading of the weapons... first time i tried your mod i found a bow in a kitchen, didn't need to find arrows because it was shooting anyways and when i tried to reload it (even without arrows) it said it couldn't find the sound for it at the specific folder or whatever and it did "reload"(had infinite shots) anyways... so i messed around with the files, put them in the user/zomboid/mods like you seggested above but couldn't even load any of my mods that way so i put them back in the game files as it has always worked before for me. this maybe has something to do with me playing on compatibility mode, because if i press only play game it doesn't even run on my pc so i messed with the ISReloadUtil.lua file(since i was having trouble reloading my weapons) and created one for your weapons alone to put in the mod folder based on the game's ISReloadUtil lua file, didn't have succes though since it still did not show the reload option in the menu when i clicked on the items. even though i didn't have bullets on me... the game's pistol(the regular one) showed me the reload option even without bullets on me too, so i got to that conclusion. it is not working for me so far. here are the files i messed up with btw this is how I'm using them in my game, I even changed some of the guns bullets capacity that's because i'm that weird, so this is just so you can get an idea of what i've done with the distro actually, this reloading lua file is just to see if i'm messing with something usefull/helpfull or not, since I couldn't reload in my game.(I used to have bolts and arrows but killed infinite zombies because the weapons didn't actually used the ammo i had anyways.) none of my guns reloaded so i crawled into the insides of the reloading lua files and tried this mess: (i took some of the magazines off of the reloading process for the crossbow and the .38 since those actually don't use magazines, and made them to reload as shotguns, that is, one by one[bullets or bolts]) this is a picture i took of me while messing with this lua file above ( i do look good in a tie...) and this is the distro i messed around if you'd like to check out: i took some items like the gameboy off because i was focusing only on the guns and even took some of them off since i was having difficulties with them and wanted to test with only a few since i don't know what i'm doing actually , just trying to help if possible anyways... GREAT MOD!!!, I'll keep trying to make the reloading work but I'm just like that dog up there everytime ... I'll try though.
  17. Great point, totally agree there, i just thought that would be too much too ask maybe, although it would be as awesome as hot babes and boats with an explosion in the background! ...too far?... ok, anyways... I actually think about that sometimes, it would bring the game to a much more realistic playing, since if you are used to go looting in the town you would probably, by doing that too much(just like you gain skill points), get the hang of it, like, get used to walking pass or in between tens of zombies (maybe proportional to the sneaking/lightfooted abilities) without freaking out(extremely panicking) and loosing as much accuracy as a amateur player would in a situation like that in which he would be new to and inexperienced, therefore freaking the fuck out! fo sho Since walking past zombies without being noticed makes you better at lightfooted/sneaking and such, it could work the same way but only this time for the way your character responds to the new world with the moodlets, like through time and experience, like I said above he wouldn't panic as easily as a novice player going looting for the first few times for example(of course that if possible should be discussed and elaborated in a easy to present idea for de developers) ... a veteran player should present effects on his character for him having more experience because he did have more experience right? adrenaline should have bad side-effects afterwards??? why? I should probably, as Dreadhawk177 said, make you tired easily like a sledgehammer does or an axe because you do use your body to the limit, which makes it better at it doing stuff but makes you tired of course... but not actual "bad side-effects" should occur i believe, i think a higher high extersion chance should happen but nothing actually bad should though. and the panic stuff a said in my other post also No. Adrenaline rushes don't make you tired afterwords like you ran a marathon, you would be just as tired as you were if you did the same thing without one, the adrenaline just subsides it so it isn't as noticeable. And while it is pushing yourself to a limit, that isn't or shouldn't be a bad thing,Loss of accuracy partially makes sense, but adrenaline heightens your senses so unless you have an uncontrollable rage for whatever reason you wouldn't lose accuracy either. The idea of it working as a small painkiller fits nicely since thats how it works. If a balance is needed, then taking a little more damage from Zombies would fit, since during adrenaline rush its literally "f*ck pain your going to die!" And an adrenaline rush wouldn't remove panic, it thrives off of you panicking, if you removed that then you remove the adrenaline rush. If you got to a point where you didn't panic it would be a thrill of fighting, which. I don't know wouldn't be nearly as intense. I agree with you of course adrenaline should NOT remove panic, as you said correctly, it thrives from it, when you panic(usually in a fight-or-flight response for example), your body raises the level of the epinephrine which has many side-effects that can regulate your body's blood vessels diameter for example constricting them and increasing heart rate therefore making you more quickly to respond to impulses since your blood and information move faster through the body(there's where the idea of making you faster and agile and stronger comes from) but since it comes, like in this example, when you panic, as you said and i totally agree, you are in fact panicked right? so therefore one of panic's bad side effects is loss of accuracy, therefore it NOT the adrenaline that makes you loose accuracy but it's the panic moodlet, which of course should be directly proportianal to the adreanline moodlet, but since i believe it would be better for all if the adreanline moodlet did NOT have different levels (like slightly/strongly/extremely rushed would be kinda weird in my opinion), the adrenaline moodlet could make you panic a LITTLE (just a little) more easily(like in less dangerous situations[like if you were to get strongly panicked! around 10 zombies you would get maybe extremely panicked], so you would loose more accuracy for the panicking, but remain stronger and faster because of the adrenaline). OR MAYBE the adrenaline could have different levels, and as said above, it would be directly proportional to the panic moodlet, for example, the more panicked you are(and with less accuracy) the more "rushed" you become (the more stronger and faster and agile). Although I think it should only have one level of adrenaline, it could work like this if people prefer of course. That would be my most reasonable idea so far... I say it should be like this but only is small measures, it should not change the zombie fighting gameplay that much, only enough to feel the effects of adrenaline. AND as discussed also, It could make your character less prone to have adrenaline rushes when he becomes used to fighting zombies everyday so then he has (as time passes and he learns) only his built abilities to rely on later on the game... and not the moodlet boost like the adrenaline which i believe should be only positive, again, the negative side would be the panicking and not the adrenaline, since you would only get adrenaline rushes when you are panicked. well, that's just me . I would actually like to hear everyone's opinion on this since I actually want this possibility to happen

  19. what i have in mind is basicly like this: i did i little research and adrenaline in-game effects could be: when adrenaline is activated(this could happen in EVERY dangerous[life-threatening] situation as it does occur with us humans) like everytime you spot a zombie, like the panic moodlet and when you just got hurt and started feeling pain: -a LITTLE stronger than usual, nothing unhuman. -definetly faster movements and running -higher chance of becoming panicked(worse levels of the panic moodlet) so you could get panicked too so accuracy could be reduced -should NOT have different levels of adrenaline like the other moodlet though. I think it's unnecessary since it would only stay active as long as you are fighting(lifethreatening situation) or in pain. it would go off pretty quick compared to the other moodlets. -supress pain levels when activated, after deactivated, the pain would have course get worse like for example, you fell from the second store and get in extremely pain for now, i'm saying it should get like a mild pain moodlet at first (because it would instantly activate adrenaline moodlet as well, which supressess the pain while activated), although the adrenaline moodlet would pass pretty quick and deactivate so the pain would start for real and become extreme... that in the case of, for example you are being chased by a horde get hurt somehow and can still have a little rush time to fight your way out of that situation and fix your shit up before you die or feel extreme pain for hours until it passes with some rest or medicine or you can die too. I agree. I keep getting annoyed when approached by four or five zombies and getting the "extremely panicked" moodlet. It should become less of a problem later in the game, or only occur when injured. Also, the "brave" trait should be a bit stronger. I have it and still panick fairly easily considering that I've killed hundreds of zombies over my "lifetime". How come another five and I'm freaking out?? yeah, I've played with a brave character also and didn't think he was brave enough since he panicked pretty easily too for a brave firefighter with a sweet ass fire axe in hands!
  20. yeah, the alarms... walked out of my house to the farming area i'd built (it was a closed rectangle with one of the walls being one of the house's wall, so that's how i got out of the house into the closed farming area) AND THE FREAKING ALARM WENT OFF WTF!??!? that was actually the first alarm trouble i got, no zeds around though, seems like i managed to clear my surroundings pretty good last night... but still, I also entered some house I looted days before and the alarm went off too, that's dissaponting, definetly and issue to be solved in future updates but i don't believe it's as urgent as them NPCs!!!!! lol but seriously, the alarms should be reviewed...
  21. there's a sweetspot right on the brighter part of the logs, right click it and you should be able to "grab log"... although it hasn't work a few times with a specific log during sometime, then after picking a few other logs i could pick up that one finally, happened twice... oh, and they don't always show up on the ground tab, and then when you pick one of them like a said above, they appear on the ground tab but if you move your char they dissapear and sometimes they dont appear no matter what, anyways, it seems pretty random to me. nothing gamebreaker though there's a sweetspot right on the brighter part of the logs, right click it and you should be able to "grab log"... although it hasn't work a few times with a specific log during sometime, then after picking a few other logs i could pick up that one finally, happened twice... oh, and they don't always show up on the ground tab, and then when you pick one of them like a said above, they appear on the ground tab but if you move your char they dissapear and sometimes they dont appear no matter what, anyways, it seems pretty random to me. nothing gamebreaker though oh and usually when you break a door, it drops planks, door handles and hinges. The doors handles and hinges only seem "pickupable" lol after you grabed the planks... that's one thing i noticed too, but nothing that delays me.
  22. when are you going to add images to the items, like the bolts, the arrows, the homemade arrows, stones, the ducttape and teh weapons, crossbow, bow and the homemade bow? i mean, are you going to be adding those sometime?
  23. works fine for me, playing with a few mods as well... i only play on COMPATIBILITY MODE though, it doesn't seem to work for my pc if i just click on "play game" since when i do that it opens the game's black screen and then it just disapears! just like that... without even leaving a note or anything
