    • Added SleepAllowed server option for multiplayer sleeping.  Players may sleep at any time.  When all players are asleep, the server clock speeds up.  Players sleep until they wake themselves by aiming or moving.  Players may wake other players.  Zombie attacks also wake players.

    Sweeeeeeeet!

  2. RJ wants the main build thread to be for stats, so let's use this one for discussing the build.

I don't want to try to overcomplicate things, but wouldn't it be a good idea to throw in a general "nutrients" variable to go along with carbs, lipids and proteins? The jar of vitamins would be an easy way to add "nutrients", and would give them more of a purpose. Spinach would be high-nutrient, and celery would be low-nutrient, for example.

Food and nutrition is such a complex thing, it will be interesting to see how this all works out.

  3. Just to clarify, I wasn't complaining about any imaginary delays or anything. I'm just pointing out what's coming in the next build so that we can talk about it. You've been really clear and open about why features are moved around, and what's coming next, etc.

Except Mash's Secret Project. We need details on this.

    33.8, yay!

    • Reworked all the sounds on FMOD studio, so no more popping, better sound management, but may need more balance...
    • Added sandbox options to make zombies thump only if they're chasing/heard a sound (still enabled in 6 months/survival)

    Wooooooo!

  5. The thing is, if I made zombie thump on windows/doors only if they hear a sound/chase someone, I'm afraid it would dramatically reduce the difficulty of the game...

I'll see what I can do and maybe add a sandbox options for it (tho Survival will remain like this)

This would be the most awesomest sandbox option ever.

  6.

Cars? Static ones added to the map? Their placement might interfere with player's constructions?

Underground levels would be sweet though too!

Oh wow you're acutally...not even close

    :P

Look at how the reply is formatted. Two line post, two line reply. "Oh wow you're acutally...not even close" is in reply to the "cars" line. The emoticon is in reply to the underground level line. He's giving us the raspberry because we figured it out.

    Good work, team!

  7. I would love it if we could remove the water bottles on top of the coolers and use those! Otherwise, what's the point of moving a water cooler if you just dump all the water out of it first?

EDIT: Holy crap you guys. If you can move a water cooler, gather bottles, move a comfy chair and move a minifridge all without carpentry or electrical skills... You can now live ANYWHERE without being a carpenter or an electrician! You can setup on the top floor of the office building! You don't need a bed!

    The possibilities are endless...

I fixed sounds, but I try to do something before releasing the 33.6... If i don't manage to do it before tonight I'll release anyway

It's OK, we can wait. :)

Actually, I love the fact that they're willing to break down the updates into smaller bits. The popping was getting a bit irritating last night, so I'm looking forward to a fix. Now, I'm also looking forward to whatever new thing RJ has cooking, but 33.7 won't be too far off. :)

  9. Hey Guys, Love the new update, was really excited to see how it all worked.

Just looking for a quick explanation here, I'm trying to move fridges etc, I can see your char needs to be an electrician, so I created a character for that will 3 electrical skill, Now when I go to the fridge the skill is green but the 'tool' says 'electrician'... What am I doing wrong here? Is there a new tool called 'electrician' ?

And is this the same for stoves etc, I'm confuzzled....

    -The Googlator

I've raised a bug for that! The tool you need is a screwdriver.

It would be nice if you could set it to go to normal speed as soon as there was a zombie in view.

Hitting a move key should return time to normal. Still requires you to do something but it's faster than using the mouse or even a keyboard shortcut to set speed.

You're lucky it was just the one, for me it's usually whole damn 100+ zombie hordes o.O I hear one bang on a window, figure "bah i'm upstairs it'll be fine" but then as soon as the window breaks the whole first floor gets flooded and there's zombies waiting under the windows too :o

Maybe that's what happened... The zombie missile startled me so I mashed a button and stopped the fast forward.

I'm not playing survival, so I'm not seeing those giant hordes. I'm playing on the hardest difficulty setting for The First Week.

  11. Most of my death seem to have been either when my base gets invaded while I'm sitting in it reading...

Okay, so it's not just me then. I was fast-forward reading when all of a sudden BOOM a zombie flies through the kitchen window straight at me. I hit "normal speed" so damn fast...

It would be nice if you could set it to go to normal speed as soon as there was a zombie in view.
