  1. It looks like the dedicated server (https://steamdb.info/app/380870/)is set to the wrong branch (IWBUMS). I'm on Ubuntu Server 16.04 and there is a client server mismatch when a steam version client attempts to connect to this dedicated server. I am using steamcmd to keep the server up to date. Steam version client is running 39.66.3. (ran integrity check already) Steam version server is running 37.67.3 (IWBUMS??). I am on the normal branch and am using `./steamcmd.sh +login anonymous +app_update 380870 validate +quit` as my update command. Thanks in advance.
  2. Hello there! I recentlly change my project zomboid to the IWBUM beta, but when I hit de PLAY button the game crashes and send me this: # A fatal error has been detected by the Java Runtime Environment: # # EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION (0xc0000005) at pc=0x00000000614ca236, pid=6332, tid=0x0000000000000784 # # JRE version: Java(TM) SE Runtime Environment (8.0_121-b13) (build 1.8.0_121-b13) # Java VM: Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (25.121-b13 mixed mode windows-amd64 compressed oops) # Problematic frame: # C [ig7icd64.dll+0x26a236] # # Failed to write core dump. So, my question is... is the game or my PC? and, what can I do to solve this?

Come join in. Public Name: 24/7 > Itendor IP/Host: itendor.com OR 158.69.202.1 Port: 16261 Whitelist: Off Max Players: 20 Version: 39.66.3 Looking for people who'd like to play this server. Hosted on my dedi running only this server on linux. 100 starting points. Stupid fast XP. Common Generators. Abundant foraging and farming. 7 days for safe house. Easy vehicles Vanilla (no mods) The server has PVP enabled, though I am considering disabling PVP as I would prefer a friendly co-op environment rather than a grief fest.
  4. IWBUMS 39.64.1 on Windows. In multiplayer, items don't always show up in containers for all players. I'm playing a two player PZ game in which I am the host, and hosting the game though the in-game menu in the client (as opposed to dedicated server). Sometimes, I will not be able to see items that the other player can see in a container. If the other player takes the item out of the container and puts it back in, I can now see the item. There have been no cases (so far) of items that I can see that they can't. This problem has happened with both items that were generated in the world (i.e. canned goods in a house we were looting) and items that we placed (water in a cooking pot in the stove in our safehouse). We've been playing quite a bit since vehicles were introduced in IWBUMS, but this has only been a problem since 39.64.
  5. Hello, I am speaking for both the community and the Dev's, could you please add an Official Test Map for your latest updates ? For example a large parking lot with all vehicles having a place to spawn and such, different types of roads, terrain, etc. Zombies to roam a side of it, and a bunch more. Would love to see that kind of a test map. You could get a lot of information out of it and we could test all kinds of bugs and, fps decrease and other issues that pz needs fixed and as such I think it would be a good idea to be able to test the new features on a such said map. We could have trees to crash in or to chop, a mechanic shop filled with the parts you need to test out anything else and so on. That way it would be easier to test and see where problems arise. Below is a really poor example (really poor) but I think that everyone gets the idea. We can test houses, how the rendering will affect buildings and such and vehicles. We can have a dense area with a bunch of houses, a bunch of two story buildings and then just normal country road. Tight curves, intersections, etc. We could basically do a lot of stuff on it and it would be a fun way for everyone to test out new features before playing or if they are willing to make the game better and report anything unusual. This is just a suggestion but I hope it will come true. A cell or four at max would probably be enough for the car to accelerate, do leaps and anything like that. Please think it through and share your opinions with me and anyone else.
  6. Posted this in the IWBUMS thread already, but that might have been the wrong place. That being said, I'm getting this error every time I attempt to start the game. I'm running the latest auto-updated IWBUMS version and it seems to have borked my game. The main game window never opens and the running window closes. I have no mods installed nor have I ever. I've verified the game files and reinstalled the game and beta to no avail. I've even tried deleting fmodintegration32.dll and re-downloading it using the verify game cache option in steam. Not sure where to go from here. Thanks for any help and sorry about the double post, just trying to get this seen in the correct place. 8. Hi all i just come back to the game as me and some friends like to play and test the newest version 34.15 IWBUMS. So we all got that version of the game. But when i try to setup a steam dedicated server, using the server tool from steam its only version 33.20 i think. So how do i update it to the newest IWBUMS version?
  9. Greetings! I currently working on a new server and wanted to get some feedback and some admins for it. Connection stuff: Technical stuff: Settings: Maps: Mods:
  10. This is something that's been on my mind for a while now, specially after I saw its success on Starbound. The ideas is to have two separated stances of PZ on Steam, one the Stable versions, and one with the latest IWBUMS (if there's one at the moment). That way, we can playtest the IWBUMS and still have our Stable game for use online and such. This avoids all of the annoyances of having the latest IWBUMS corrupt your save (if it were to happen) and doesn't limit your choice of servers when you want to play online. As IMHO, the biggest deterrent for me when going for the IWBUMS branch isn't losing my saves, but no longer being able to access the MP servers I play on.
  11. Hi everyone, i've decided to start my server up again for build 33.5 as i can't find a server that currently fits my needs. I'm gonna be running the server as much as i can depending on how many people decide to join me. Please join using a realistic name or you will kicked until you do. Ex. Gerald Davidson IP: 70.72.50.190 Port: 16261 Spots available: 14 Mods: Hydrocraft and Littering
  12. I was playing on a server not too long ago and it had server messages automatically appearing at set intervals. i was wondering if anyone knows how to set this up on a server. I'm running IWBUMS
  13. Hi, I'm on the most recent IWBUMS but I had this same issue on the stable version. Whenever I right click, it brings up a menu as usual. Unfortunately, usually the top option on the menu is unclickable. This won't let me place sheets or do anything requiring the use of the first option when right-clicking. When I attempt to click the first option, nothing happens, and the game starts to get massive FPS drop. Windows 7 SP3, Scaling disabled on High DPI (it was a workaround until the IWBUMS update)
  14. So, I dug through the Lua until I found the recipe list. For future users, it's here, assuming you have Steam: Alright, into the meat of the new stuff. Note, unless otherwise stated, tools in the same catergoy (i.e. Hammer vs Stone Hammer) can be switched out. Here are the Learned Recipes Stuff you can Dismantle Traps
  15. With the new changes to farming, it takes months to grow all foods. However, with this change and, of course, the inevitability of the power shutting off, I'm wondering how farming will remain a viable source of food and survival if you must wait months in between each harvest. Even if crop growth is staggered, it will still be very difficult to keep farming as an effective method of survival. Thoughts?
  16. After a while role-playing on a few unstable servers I decided it was time to get a host, to try and give the community the same experience but on a more stable level. The whole point of this server is to serve as the base in which new stories are created, while still managing to be a fun experience for everyone. It's up 24/7 and for now, it's limited to 8 slots, although I'm open to expand it if the userbase grows. There aren't many rules to follow, but there are some that need to be kept in mind while playing, in order for everyone to have a fun experience: - PLEASE DO NOT BURN DOWN BUILDINGS. This is one of the main ones. Burning too many buildings means a server reset and that means lost progress. No one likes lost progress -Please keep in character while on the server. That means you need to use a real name and talk in character. Back stories are appreciated. Remember to use " [Your message] " to talk out of character and " *R* " to talk in global (*R* stand for radio). -Do not be a jerk. It's ok to be a bandit. It's ok to act and and talk like a bandit. It's not ok to be constantly killing the same player on sight while harassing the admins and disrespecting the rules or warnings. Be respectful. -Each In game community can make their own community rules. That means whatever community takes you in can enforce their personal rules. If you don't abide by them, they are free to do whatever they want with you. Don't complain to the admins that you were killed because you just had a gun out, when they warned you not to carry guns inside their base (for example). Those are pretty much it. Remember, the admins are willing to kick/ban players if they don't want to follow the rules, and if it happens too much, the server will become whitelist only. I hope you all have a great time. Edit: Server is now whitelist only because of this. Please pm me your in-game name, or post the info on this thread and I will add you to the server. Server IP: 87.98.194.26 Port: 16361
  17. So this server has actually grown more then i thought it would, i can now hold 24 people. If you're looking for a good community to start RPing on, this is a good place to start. We have a great community and don't mind helping people out. Join the IP below and come have a good time
  18. Name: Vanilla Server Alen IP: 24.201.11.25 Online Slots: 12 Location: NA, East Coast Currently running beta build 28. Active user base. Persistent server. No resets. (hopefully build 28 will respawn loot and zombies properly) Come join us!
  19. I am hosting a Server for a few people i have played with in game. I will decide to add other people depending on the reply they give. If you have played with "Kid lonewolf","Morgan Freemann","Mr freeman" And enjoyed doing so then leave a reply for a spot. There will be role playing so prepare yourself. This server is for people who want to have fun with the same group of people every time with no griefers or anyone else looking to ruin your online fun. You get one warning in this server, if you decide to do something a second time you will be banned for good. Its easy to work together without being an asshole. I don't need to post rules, if you cant figure out to play well with others then you have no place here. NO PVP unless both people agree for a bit of fun and challenge. The server settings are high zombie count, normal zombie settings, 2 hour days, And You spawn with a bottle of water and an axe! I will be changing the setting every now and again if you guys are interested. If you want to build a base and want to be able to log off without worry of theft or destruction, then this server is for you. I will be attempting soft resets when needed, if i cant get them to work then hard resets when requested. Though i will be spawning zombies frequently. I accept those i played with first then the new comers, but i might change my mind to keep the server active. Just leave the name you had when we played or one you wanna use along with your reply. BUT DO NOT JUST POST A NAME! If you want a place in the server, tell me why(mostly for people i haven't played in game with.) Server goes up today at 4-5pm eastern time, depending on the replies. Hope to see a few old faces and maybe some new ones as well. Get ready to write your death!
  20. Hi all. I've made a mod in which killing a zombie spawns two zombies nearby after a short delay unless the original zombie was on fire. There will soon be options for whether fire should stop them respawning, the delay before the new zombies are spawned and the distance they should spawn at. My hope is that this could lead to some interesting gameplay by forcing you to think about whether it's worth killing one zombie now only to have to deal with more in a few seconds. If you have any suggestions or feedback then please do voice them so that I can improve the mod. This works on the latest IWBUMS (as of the 20th of June 2017). To install all one must do is put the zip into their Username/Zomboid/mods/ folder, right-click it and select "Extract All" in the drop-down menu. Download (Full Package) Other versions returning soon... Download (Kill it with Fire {No positional change}) Download (Delay Only {No position change} [No Fire]) Download (No Delay {Or positional change} [Or Fire]) Download (Build 23)
