When a container is opened and the looting menu pops up is when a red/green dot shows. Some of the images in those threads might be hard to notice what the problem is, but from what I remember it's: Red/green dots when opening containers (like shelves more specifically) Arrows on the bottom corner of some doors inside buildings while you're outside. Arrows on the corners of some walls. Weird line on the floor (sometimes goes when curtains are closed, sometimes not.) Graffiti become translucent at their ends and being highlighted. Wall vines become translucent at their ends and being highlighted. That's all I can remember from looking at those screenshots again. Minor issue, but definitely annoying.
  2. Are you using any mods? If so, they're best disabled for IWBUMS as they'll only cause more errors and false bug reports than necessary.
  3. That's odd. Never experienced this before. Some stuff like food shelves don't become transparent, as well as bookshelves. That's normal and may be fixed in the new cutaway system. Walls should always be stencilled out, even if they're black like this. Could you try some of these things if you haven't already? In no particular order: Verify integrity of Steam's PZ files: Right click PZ > Properties > Local Files > Verify Integrity. Update your drivers. Starting a new save (no need to delete the old one) but just to see if there's some compatibility issue. Try messing around with some other settings in-game to see if anything changes. You'll probably need to restart PZ a few times to see if any of them work. Try disabling any mods and start a new save (won't delete your save).

  6. Old man + cane as a weapon that when used causes you to trip, yell out in pain and die in agony elevates PZ to a masterpiece of a game. Really though I can't wait to see the mods that come from this update. Not sure if something as complex as this is on the table or how long the tools would take to learn, but stuff like this would be incredibly cool for sure.
  7. The closest you can do right now is press space at the door, or hit it with a weapon, although yes that's definitely a lot louder than knocking.

It's actually the 9th of July that it begins on the default PZ settings (Survival): https://pzwiki.net/wiki/Game_Modes It would be cool if there were some fictional event that the Radio/TV broadcasts mention that they hold annually. It'd be great to have more lore/hidden broadcasts/flavour text.

    Seems to be extremely close, as in the next few months for IWBUMS, if things keep progressing how they are currently. I would say check back in a few months. You can check the website every Thursday (although Friday is better because there's no set time for news to be posted). I'm sure that the blog title when it's released will be hard to miss.

    That's a good point. If the whole "bones showing after being eaten" is going to be a thing, the zombies would have eaten a lot of the character already. It may look more gory and horrifying to actually hear your character screaming while they're being eaten and torn to shreds, and not coming back. Maybe they could come back more visibly damaged if it's only a few zombies, however it would make more sense of them coming back after being bitten and escaping and turning over time like you're saying. The "upper limit" could be used to determine if that character has a chance to come back mildly damaged, or if they're absolutely destroyed and mangled to pieces.

    You're correct. People will just restart their saves anyway or make a new one. This difference is it's now instantaneous. This way you'll get a more glorified and gory death because of lack of combat skills, and being overwhelmed. If you do get out safely, then you actually count yourself extremely lucky.

    At the very least, a few more weeks, possibly a month or two for IWBUMS was the latest I heard. Could be longer, could be shorter. That's the closest I can give you.

    I agree, if possible it should be more like this: Them squatting makes more sense to me if they were Sprinters, ready to jump up and run at you. Vicious and bloodthirsty. Regular Shamblers, it makes more sense for them to be slower, spend more time eating a corpse almost lying down. It feels we're getting way more than we expected with this update, though, or at least I feel that way.
  14. Good point, I completely forgot about crawlers. Since this update will add more variety, more corpse variations would be welcome.
  15. If you look at the Gigamart employee at 46s, she falls on her stomach. The video was supposed to start at that time, might have glitched out. Of course, yes she wasn't dead at that point, but I don't see why it wouldn't imply that we'll have different corpse positions. At least I hope it implies that.

  17. I'd love something like Rick's "Murder Jacket". Also something simple like his S9 shirt. The image just made me wonder, will watches be visible on your character's wrist? It could be tied into those "idle actions" when you're walking or just waiting in place to give some life to the character instead of standing still.

  19. Aargh . It's annoying it keeps changing. I'd love if I could find a definitive answer myself. It seems to just be one of those bugs that can't be reproduced. I've regularly had it on "all", but I've tried again with different settings and I haven't experienced it in a definite time frame I normally would have (10-20 zombies killed). Now I have it set to all, with 3D corpses and it's seemingly fine again. Maybe changing to 2D and back to 3D did something? I'm at a complete loss at this point to be honest. Guaranteed it'll probably happen again after posting this or something.
  20. Hey, I just wanted to check if this is still being worked on or if a fix has been found/planned in the future? It's still a significant issue in the game, or in my game at least. I understand animations are a priority at the moment but I'd love an update if possible. Thanks!

  22. Another update on this: Temporary fix is to put corpses on 2D instead of 3D. Hasn't occurred since I've done that. That's the biggest specific I can offer at the moment, though I think it's the best one. Unfortunately, I don't think that'll be possible any more when the animations and combat overhaul come out. Or if it is possible then corpses would be significantly different than alive zombies. Sometimes new features can seemingly fix bugs, or more likely introduce new ones, but maybe once they're out we'll be able to track it down/fix easier.
  23. A very cool idea, not sure in the vain of the current design however. I think the closest we would get to that is higher skill levels may do a bit flashier kills with weapons. For example stabbing a zombie at the side of it's head or through the skull. Don't quote me on this though.
