    I don't think so...
Why should they? I only flew over the mod guidelines once. But as long as your mod dosn't damage the game, the User or the Reputation of TIS or PZ, there is hardly any reason i guess. So as long as your mod doesn't contain racism, child molesting or things like that, you could mod it i think. And i don't think you can apply any of this to a 'i need the bathroom' mod. Except you Plan to implement the Option to molest Black children with your poo of course

This is on the confirmed "No" list for the game and has been discussed quite a bit in the past. Suffice to say it will never happen in the vanilla game, no matter how many people want it. It might be worth your time to check out the sticky notes at the top of this subforum (at least the "How to write a bug report" and "Confirmed list" ones). That will help us so you're not suggesting stuff that's already been tossed around, and help you so you don't waste time with stuff we've already said yes (or no) to! Cheers!

cant beleive no one has mentioned Bleach yet, probably one of my favorite all time anime series!
also, the original Guyver series, not the remade series.
Almost anything by studio gibli (spirited away, howls moving castle, princess mononoke), other anime films/series - appleseed, macross plus, dominion tank police, akira, battle angel alita, ghost in the shell, Madox 01: metalskin panic, im sure theres loads more that i just cant think of atm, but certainly my favorites are Bleach and Guyver.

I've noticed in this build that if I use a knife untill it breaks, my characters hair also vanishes as soon as its listed as broken. Soon as I equipt another weapon my hair is back. Anyone else?

Wherever you have a bunch of trees, you have various bits of detritus. Leaves. Twigs. Branches. Old logs. The decaying remains of trees long since felled by natural causes. Basically speaking, if you go to a forest you should be able to search the surrounding area and turn up all sorts of useful things on the ground that routinely pile up so long as those trees remain.

The main reason I suggest this though is that it seems a bit much to absolutely require logs from a felled tree if one wants to make or feed a fire. It just feels like an unnecessary step, you know? If I really needed fire, all I should have to do is take a stroll through the woods and I could easily find everything I need to start a fire right at my feet. Leaves for tinder. Twigs to feed it. Big branches and old, partially rotted logs to get it roaring big and bright to cook food, provide warmth or keep it going long through the night.

Maybe make it so that such things are kept track of in the meta game so that all those items only exist when someone is actively looking for them. Maybe by using the right-click contextual menu to have your character search the ground?

Since the devs have already confirmed vehicles for a while I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt that they won't be game breaking. They obviously have plans in mind. And even if they're OP to start, balancing will occur eventually. It's a long road from alpha to finished product.

The devs have already said that cars will be added... also they have said that when added they will be drivable and not just standing around. So pretty much a moot point discussing it imo.

Well, it's up to you if you don't want to use them, but you'll have some troubles reaching other cities when they'll be around.
Vehicles are pretty much indispensable, but they have to be done right. and I trust TIS to make the right calls anyway.

I want parked cars that you can't drive. I would like you to be able to loot things such as first aid kits or other things often found in cars from them. I wouldn't mind bikes so long as you can still get exhausted from them. I don't want motorbikes or anything like that either.

    Hey,

As per this forum thread: http://theindiestone.com/forums/index.php/topic/7089-does-pz-really-even-need-cars/page-3

    Basic Premise

It struck me it'd be good to have family ties that exist at the start of the game. These would drive players/NPC's to go out into town / other towns to find their family. I think these could be fantastic variables for NPC's and player characters who chose not to ignore them.

These could be family, lovers, or, being Kentucky, maybe both?

    Why

I think it'd be a good variable to make either the player explore or an NPC (who may be integral to the group) leave the group in hope of finding them.

    Example

A player spawns in a house in Mul. The family ties section shows he has two relations in Mul. (Mother and cousin) and one in WP (brother).
For every day the player lives without knowing if the mother or brother is dead causes a small debuff like a plus towards sadness. Locating the alive family member will give a massive boost to morale. Finding them dead will give a massive temporary minus to morale/happiness (which could lead to other things) but given time they should recover unless other stimuli tips them over the edge.

If the player ignores the cousin. They might feel sad but this might go away due to the relative closeness of that family member. After all, you're going to naturally care more intensely for the closest members of your family.

    Wrapping up my thoughts

This is just an idea. Don't panic, I don't own/fund/mind control the devs so this doesn't mean it *will* be implimented into the game. I'm just making the suggestion.
Additionally, it's not final. I just think it'd be an addition to what I understand the dev's already have in mind for NPC's. Perhaps not family but certainly relationships, if I was paying attention (and I believe I was)

    Cheers

That's actually a pretty fucking good idea mate. It could work just like charing melee weapons, but increase accuracy instead of damage. Could be affected by other stuff, also, like panic etc and it would be capped at a lower accuracy if you were moving. Nice one.

If rifles/longer ranged firearms are introduced, and you take the perception hit when shooting indoors, you'd find yourself left with a dilemma. Fire from the window, to reduce the hearing-loss penalty at the risk of being seen by your target, or fire from well back in the room like a good little sniper and risk not hearing the zombies scratching at the door?

I hear this argument so much but it's illogical and senseless.

I want everyone (you) to do something for me. Stand up in the room you are in, and give a quick scan of the entire room without moving your feet. You can look probably about 300-360 degrees around you and remember all of it very well. Now, do you see what's directly behind you? Or outside your cone of vision at all? No. You remember it. Seeing isn't remembering. Just like your character, you can remember things you've just seen beside or behind you. Line of sight is line of sight not line of memory. You have a functional, human brain to remember things that your character would remember.

Further, maybe you've never been truly exhausted before. I've been two days without sleep- also been weeks of only getting an hour or three of sleep a night. It's an accurate representation. Even when your life is in danger, your brain is physical incapable of dealing with that kind of pressure and functioning fully.

Face towards them and push. Have never had this situation with "no possible way to avoid it" with only a few zombies- ever. Just push them down/away and you're fine.

I also really have no problem with crawlers. Circle around behind them (just like you'd do in real life if you thought about it) and attack and you're fine. Walking right up to an ankle biter is a good way to get your ankles bitten- that's just how it is. This isn't a game about being an action hero- sometimes the best option is to walk away, and you've got to recognize that. The fact that if you tangle with zombies you lose is part of what PZ is all about.

'Special' zombies are already a confirmed no-no from the devs, but I can see what you're getting at.

As far as parkour zombies go, you clearly haven't bumped into a moderately sized horde with a large quantity of 'fresh' zombies in it. Even a handful of the fast shamblers (which often require you to sprint back a bit to charge up a melee attack) can be lethal. All the sprinting and swinging twigs off the exhausted moodle, and you're food before the rest of the group shows up.

A bit more variety in the zombie stats -might- be useful though, namely, having different zombies decaying at different rates. That would give a bit more variety to later game hordes I guess (remember, zombies get less mobile and stupider as time goes on - they rot). Once the new animations come in, and zombies stumble/fall through windows and over low fences, giving a handful of zombies the ability to sluggishly crawl over obstacles, not fall down as often, or be able to get back to their feet easier, would be pretty good.

In short, more variety in the zombies that make up the hordes, rather than any outstandingly different zombies.

There is no need for shortend the time a book required to be read. Just add sheets to the windows and/ or barricade them -> no light get out of the room. In addition reading a book takes only a half respectively three-quarters a day.

I like the idea because items like candels have a better usage (never used them before) . I'm just going out at daytime, because in the dark I'll shit my pants

That's what I've been doing as well up to a point where I was reading book IRL and noticed that small thing like that may introduce some better RP into the game
That's essentially my idea - if you want to continue reading when it gets dark you have to have some source of light, but that on the other hand is potential invite for zombies.
