  1. Obligatory Disclaimer: sorry if this has been discussed, wasn't on commonly suggested thread nor could I find it on the forums at large... So.. my idea is to implement shopping trolleys (or carts depending on where you live and what you call them...see pic: http://www.scaffoldmart.com/grocery-shopping-carts/cart_images/KLO-X-155L.jpg) for looting. Pretty self-explanatory, you find them in shopping mall car parks and they can be wheeled about, filled up with way more stuff than a duffle bag, some of them even have a little baby seat for Spiffo dolls.... ...but, of course, they have positive and negative attributes. So, you can carry a lot of stuff in one, but it makes a lot of noise and can attract Zeke. You can ride it down a hill (when they introduce hills) to quickly escape a hoard but in general it moves slowly like you are overencumbered. If you get overwhelmed you can/have to ditch it (like a quick panic drop everything button that someone else was talking about on another thread) so it becfomes a risk/reward, i can carry all this stuff slowly back, but if i need to, i have to be able to abandon it at a whim and run away. It could even be used offensively by pushing into a gang of zeds. I think its an interesting thing that would be helpful and comes with a balanced set of tradeoffs, its totally something someone would/could/should do in an apocalypse and it could be found in Muldraugh. With vehicles being implemented at some point (and 3D-ified PZ on the way) adding something like this (I'm ignorantly guessing) wouldn't be impossible (and they may even have it in their minds). So, what do people think?
  2. My guess is they have absolutely everything covered.
  3. You get a bonus to your carrying weight for being fed, well fed etc so sometimes you will be full with a happy little moodle able to carry 12 and then yeah, you'll start to get hungry again and suddenly become over encumbered. That may be the issue? (/the reverse for being hungry and over encumbered then you eat something and ta-da, no problem) Yeah, as for the darkness, the game is not overall too dark its just dark at night, which its supposed to be. So if you have some darkness issues it might be your end... ...aaaannd...the line of sight stuff, that took me a bit of time to get used to it but then I appreciated what it brought to the gameplay and how it puts limitations on the player's omniscient 3rd person perspective. So now I love it, fading Zeke and all. That's my thoughts on the matters anyway
  4. 1. Maps & Markers - Like a gas station map and a permanent texta/marker that you can scrawl notes down 2. Terrain Verticality - people have mentioned this already; basements and attics/hills and valleys/subway stations etc 3. NPCs - but no rush!
  5. Unless there was some zombie nightmare/dream mode if your character goes to bed panicked you have to fight hoardes of zombies in your dreams and if you die, you just wake up. if they went to bed happy then they have a dream about their childhood home with their pet or something not really an actual suggestion really, just an idea that popped into my head, but it could be done well :) dream-muldraugh-map where Spiffo comes alive
  6. Learning carpentry...

  7. Banned for not realising that I too clearly derive mild fulfilment from this.
  8. Banned for having post 1229 in an utterly useless thread.
  9. Yeah it's just part of the PZ charm. Stock up on non-perishables, eat all your bacon and salmon and get ready for some pretty dark nights.
  10. Yeah, makes sense But you shouldn't open any post that isn't addressed to you! Well, I guess if you are living in some dead guy's repurposed home (and you probably killed him when he rose from the dead) then it's probably OK to open his mail.
  11. Way ahead of ya guy! Game Theory is literally the only channel I subscribe to on the you tubes and yes, Link = dead.
  12. I think the passage of time works well for the pace of the game. In sandbox mode you can alter the relative timescale so you can even play on 1:1 (except be careful because then your character will need to sleep for 8 real life hours! yikes!) Sure some things are not realistic in the time they take but I think the devs are trying to balance the realism with fun (or a lack of monotony/tedium). So yes, some things are a bit whacked out, but for me, I want that wall built, I don't want to have to wait all day... As for plants: not sure how long it takes to support you as I have failed in my attempts so far. That answers the question about succeeding every time too....it can be quite challenging, watering enough, keeping disease from infecting, protecting from Zeke trampling all over... My advice would be to just get this game you won't be disappointed even if walls get built very quickly... Good luck!
  13. I think that for a forum of people who like to simulate bashing in the skulls of rotting humans, having the mantra 'Be Lovely' is lovely.

  14. Banned for having two spelling mistakes in your signature.
  15. Can you craft a new computer from planks, nail, watermelon or spiffo? Sorry... That's a shame catguitar, I thoroughly enjoyed watching the satellite feed of your trapped survivor.
  16. Has been suggested a few times to mixed response (i'm personally for it but some people think it might turn the game into a hi-score fest) http://theindiestone.com/forums/index.php/topic/451-rip-wall/page-2?hl=graveyard#entry11980
  17. Well baseball bat with nails in it has the potential to get stuck in a skull! I think it would be pretty scary if you're weapon got stuck though! Maybe even a little irritating because it would be unpredictable? It could scale with level I guess so a LVL1 Blade has more chance of getting stuck than LVL5 but yeah...I dunno...I like the tension it adds but I can't help but feel I would die in a cheap way (unprotected and alone with only a spiffo doll and some sheets) if this happened.... (if you could quick-swap weapons a bit easier then maybe it could work too?)
  18. I don't think it provides any luck bonus that is quantifiable. Personally, I've had one on me for a while as a companion, but in what I've read most people who find one actually die straight away or have bad luck (OP). So I dunno, maybe it provides good luck, maybe it provides bad luck but my money's on inert pixel raccoon doll.
  19. hey there is another oven outside here: this oven is not the above mentioned oven! its outside the north wall of this blue house near the cemetery in west point map reference: http://pzmap.crash-override.net/#0.7585662583594788,0.10256640594269752,190.7924332881379 Sorry if its been reported, just trying to help out de-ovenify the countryside
