  2. Ya they nerfed knife spawn into oblivion One of the most common kitchen utensils people own multiple of found in restaurants and houses apparently doesn't exist in Kentucky. Realistically speaking Kentuckians in the 90s were all Karate masters. They used to Karate Chop their vegetables and meats.   5. There is probably something triggering them I slept on 2nd floor of a bar and had a zombie keep hitting the door at the night, when I woke up the zombie left door was fine That doesn't mean the system couldn't be improved further.
  6. They do forget it just takes them a while. There is a memory setting in sandbox.   7. This could be solved pretty easily by just tagging all the items as "sheets" As long as players don't mind the texture difference of what you see on the window.

Kids are a lot more work than people realize All the work you do with adults you have to redo it with kids You can't just make a normal human smaller - it will look very weird Which means redoing all the animations, textures, models, sounds Redoing the attack animations of animals and creatures on kids Basically it adds very little value, but a lot of work.

A really easy way to handle Drip Farming is having game make a 3x3 farm plot with barrel attachment 6 plank + 2 trashbags + bag of soil + 1 garden hose + screw driver That gives 9 farmable slots + rain water barrel to collect Level 3 farming - drop has to be turned on manually Level 5 farming + 2 electronics - can be set on a timer You still have to deal with insects - but not the watering aspects Also need to turn it off when it rains
  14. I should also point out - if he wanted to make small changes to a building - using mods with tile picker is much easier option for editing existing map. For anyone in the future who wants to know.
  15. I rather see the opposite where zombies collapse on each other like what happens in real life. Stampede deaths are extremely common in large groups
  16. That is why I like State of Decay 2 infection system. Every plague hit adds to a plague meter, when plague meter is full you only get infected. This makes infections far more predictable, curable and very fair to the player
  17. If zombie gives you a deep wound you are dead anyway from infection.
  18. The game is actually designed for you to die and learn from the mistakes. Currently there is no "end goal" - the only purpose is to see "how long" you will live. A lot of clues are actually on the Emergency Radio though It will warn you about the water electricty Will warn you about the Helicopter It will warn you about weather events and temperatures The problem is you have to first find a radio with Emergency Channel as a preset Every time you start a new game it will change the channel number ( if you are in multiplayer and make new character in same world - it will stay the same ) If you have any questions about mechanics feel free to ask in General Discussion Happy hunting P.S Bonus Tip If you watch Life and Living on TV for first week I think it is 6 am and 6 pm - you will get a TON of free xp.
  19. You can easily build one yourself and automation is a QoL feature that no sane person would complain about. Implementation - can be done through Tile System 1 Hose = 10 Units of Irrigation Add irrigation to tilled ground Everytime a hose is placed it checks 8 tiles around it for another hose - adds it to table. Hose connecting to barrel tile coordinate noted. Then goes down sequentially through each listed tile in table. If a "tile" is missing - checks 8 tiles around it for hose just to update path. Max length is 10 tiles for barrel 25 tiles for IBC

  21. it isn't easy as you think - there quite a few disadvantages. Also if you are having a potato PC now - by the time Final Release of Zomboid comes out - you should probably be able to get a better PC by then. I am guessing at least 4 more years before official launch
  22. While adding "New" content is fine, I think there should be a more focus on adding more to existing content. Especially with Blacksmithing coming out in 42 The Ability to Modify Cars to make it more zombie resistant. Adding a Cow Catcher or Bullnose Front Bomber to allow players to protect their engine block. Add Bars to Car windows. Hydraulic skirts that activate when parked to prevent zombies from crawling under it. ( full custom job ) The ability to modify weapons to not only add durability ( reinforcing shafts \ plating edges \ etc ) and make them more deadly. Ex Fire Axe with a weight strapped to back - adds a bit more stamina drain - can't be used for cutting trees anymore. But gives insane damage bonus against zombies and doors.   23. One of the most annoying features of the game is how little trees DRAMATICALLY slow down cars to a crawl. A 3 ton car \ truck is going to uttery destroy the tree This gets worse during erosion - which is on overdrive and how fast new trees grow. Just like life - when a lot of people "travel' through a path it inhibits growth. Since it isn't practical to constantly track movement - the 2nd best option is to kill of sprouts as things walk \ drive over it.
  24. I think one thing that could make a massive impact on the game using tile meta data to track zombie heat density in giving the information to the player through radio. So after 1 month - Zombie Radio appears In it - it tracks high density heat zones and relays information such as "Zone C4 - showing large population 2 quadrants radius ( so B2 to D6 ) moving eastward. If anyone in those areas I strongly suggest leaving soon" So heat map ( not visible ot players ) generates zombies slowly moving in about 2 tiles per day from West to East This information is constantly tracked by "Zombie Radio" to help keep survivors safe. Zombie Radio eventually needs help in ways of supplies after 6 months and takes donations. By keeping "Radio" supplied - you get more accurate and constant updates. Such a feature would not only add some serious excientital threat. Also make the world feel alive. Though for balance you are warned 2 - 3 days in advance of major movements and hotzones can't spawn appear near player.

When Zombies are attacking windows - the Spear can do a ground stab animation Unrelated Details: One zombie started in "laying down resting position and got up" the other zombie walked from nearby.
