    The game is going to have your mental state affecting things. For example, the plan is for it to be possible for your character to go insane, and start hearing inanimate things talking to you. I'm not sure they'll use the exact system you've specified though.

    I have to disagree. If you've ever been on "the ramen every night budget" you'd realize that some foods become boring and tiresome sometimes.

    I'd say that the system is broke, though. Initially, no food is going to cause you boredom and unhappiness the first time you eat it, well most foods won't. It should be something like:

    if 'x amount eaten(this month)' > 'y number required'
    boredom = -10 (or plus, whichever is the bad one)
    unhappiness= -10

    else-if 'x amount eaten(this month)' > '2y number required'
    boredom = -20
    unhappiness= -20

    I read the title and I was like "YES!" great idea. Then I started reading and was like "No, this is stupid. You let me down." As I was finishing though... I was left satisfied.

    Seriously though, I am one of those people who feel great in the rain. I always felt like I played sports better in the rain, just because it was an exhilarating feeling. I think I just felt like it was more bad ass in the rain; I'm weird. Sitting inside, it relaxes you.

    Then, we have the people who hate rain. They get in sad moods, or they get afraid because of the thunder.

    BAM! Two new traits that could be implemented.

    Hello!

    My suggestion is to make it so that, when it is raining, you can open the window and listen to the sound of rain pouring. Normally, when the rain is pouring on the outside, inside it is muffled. If the window is opened, the noise should be un-muffled halfway or so. This could help lower the anxiety moodlet. Feel free to add your two cents.

    most times it stops itself, because they don't know how to use the arms. of course there are well educated people, but most of the "soldiers" are poor countrymen or unemployed people. they are able to use an ak and maybe got some skills in driving cars, but battle tanks or helicopters are way more complex to operate.

    they are very dangerous, but it takes time, money and much criminal engery to train forces for "advanced combat". it's easy to download a "how to build an a-bomb", but it takes years of manufactoring and sience to build one.

    maybe they are able to buy such people in other countries, but you can't buy a whole army without attracting some attention. in worst case, they got a cave with a clone army.

    I've just had this wonderful idea for a comic based on an army of homosexual freedom fighters united under the command of General Gaylord and his very disciplined Rainbow battalion fighting off Putin's army of special forces ninja bigots.
    The reveal is that Putin is found out to be a closet case.

    But seriously it looks like there's going to be a civil war in Ukraine any minute now and worse that Putin seems to be encouraging it in a not really kind of way (i.e by supplying tanks, apcs and combat equipment). Shouldn't the West be doing the same thing in a not really kind of way?

    (Sorry all the double speak gets me confused)

    What is Primulus?

    Sci-Fi sandbox simulation game

    This game reminds me of SS13

    This game is heavily inspired by Byond's Space Station 13. What makes our rendition better than SS13 and it's remakes? Nothing at all. We've taken a bit of a twist with Primulus, though, and instead of being on a space station, you're on a moon (Primulus) that's orbiting a gas giant. This will allow some planetary exploration and lots of other fun features (Like catching native alien creatures. What?). We feel it's a bit of a new dynamic that adds a lot more opportunities for the player. Hiding bodies isn't going to be as simple as throwing them into the empty void of space. More information about the game can be found under the "Primulus" section of the website.

    How long have you been working on this? and who are you?
    Were two friends have been working very hard to make our own Sci-Fi sandbox simulation game. We've been working consistently for about 2 months.
    Mind you, we're still in the very early stages of development and everything is subject to change. Check out our website and forums and follow our blog for more information about the game at:http://primulusgame.com/

    This was actually planned for a while- and I thought had been implemented, but perhaps not. Definitely something the devs want to do, though.

    I should chastise you now, to save others the trouble:

    Bad Ridickulo. How dare you spend time with your child!

    Now that we've got that out of our systems . . . It's a fine idea. One the developers seem to have some degree of desire to implement at some indefinite point in the future.

    With all due respect, I remember the exact same phrase being applied to the Jews in the Soviet times...

    IMHO, it's neither the country nor the culture - some people just need to have an "enemy" looming on the horizon all the time, regardless of who that enemy actually is. The easiest choice is somebody whose values and ideals are somehow opposed (or just different) to our own. It's the same in every country I visited - the only thing that changes is the actual "enemy". Well, "changes" might be too big a word for a chocie of homosexuals, jews, immigrants and muslims. Different and not fully understood = easy to hate.

    So, why is Russia being called out to the spotlight ? First of all, the anti-homosexual acts have been quite high-profile and the media loves such stories. Second, lately we have been the talk of the world - not very happy talk to say the least. "So", the media think "let's add some more fuel to that fire !". The same thing basically happened with the US and the Snowden media blitz - the only thing the media care about is their ratings.

    As for the "no bias" thread - it's good to remember that there is no such thing. Everyone has some agenda whether they realise it or not - the guy may well believe that he is being unbiased, but that is simply not the way our brains work. Whether it's a brainwashing ateempt or a person acting in good will (which we will never know, by the way), the outcome may be exactly the same. Just to keep in mind. ;-]

    Getting a little generic, don't you think?

    Really doubt Leo meant that he was unbiased in every way conceivable; he meant that that reporter seems unbaised to him, partially because he's based in another country.

    If you feel the guy is biased, by all means point it out. Just stating that people can be biased, and biased people can be brainwashed to the point that they personally feel they have no bias is . . . quite the mind fuck.

    I also made the whole theme (look) of http://www.facerig.us as well as http://www.gamehandout.com/forum
