    I just went to the corn field near Muldraugh to gather the corns while they are still fresh, and while it was one of the most rewarding tasks when it comes to the amount of food early game, looking for it was also one of the most boring (boring IRL that is) tasks to do in game.
    A simple solution that would make looking for it easier and also would add somewhat realistic flavor to the game, would be to change tile's appearance for empty corn "containers" to look different to easily distinguish if the patch is empty or not, the same way how shelves currently do that.
    The only real problem could be that once anything else is put in the patch "container" it would appear to regrowth, but maybe easy solution would be limiting the container capacity to 0, effectively allowing player to take things out but not allowing to put anything in (except for 0 weight items like cigaretters, unless their weight will get changed - which I think it should), something I suggested in another thread for dispenser machines
    I realize that the current implementation of corn fields may be a placeholder and a more fine-tuned system to replace it is planned, but it would be nice to see this change quicker, especially as I think it wouldn't be so hard to implement.

    Just run through my thoughs, shouldn't the frozen food be inedible without unfreezing it first? Currently you can eat frozen food just fine.

    Hey RJ, I was just reading the feedback thread, and I was wanting to clear up the whole berry thing. Mash stated something along the lines of how she was wanting the white berry to always be poisonous, with the generic ones being randomized. The current notes say that black and blue berries are always safe. So currently, the system is.....
     
    Black + Blue = Always safe.
    1 random generic or white berry = poisonous.
     
    Will it be switching to where the white one is always poisonous + 1 random generic?

    Your posts are relatively fine so far, no worries. I'll let RJ sort out the specifics. Someone posted in this thread something completely off topic just to get views for themselves, which was deleted out of the thread. That's the kind of stuff I'm more worried about.

    I would like to kindly ask you to add feminine, masculine, and neuter options to the Tooltip.txt file entries, and also for a way to distinguish item gender in Items.txt file.
     
    I am aware that English language lacks that diversification but a vast majority of other languages do not. That leads to translation imperfection where, in case of Polish language, an axe should be a 'she', or a baseball bat a 'he', but where everything is an 'it'.
     
    It's especially visible with prefixes:
     
    Broken
    Fresh
    Rotten
    Frozen
    Burnt
    Cooked
    Uncooked
     
    and:
     
    Tooltip_item_TwoHandWeapon (sledgehammer and baseball bat are masculine, axe is feminine)
     
    I would suggest to add a gender defining variable, i.e.:
     
    Axe{f}
    Orange{n}
     
    and that would take from the gender prefix database:
     
    (Broken)
    Zepsuty{m}
    Zepsuta{f}
    Zepsute{n}
     
    (Fresh)
    Świeży{m}
    Świeża{f}
    Świeże{n}
     
    etc. etc.

    EDIT: It would be, of course, up to translators to setup their variables next to item names. As for example: an axe is feminine in Polish but masculine in Russian. OR to avoid it completely in case of languages that don't have gender nouns.

    One of the possibilities for vanilla would be a Hot Cuppa It won't rot, but will certainly gets cold (for the moment let's skip the fact that you can actually make it without any heat source from the cold water). That shouldn't affect hunger and thrist (and maybe fatigue; it still have caffeine/teine - which got me wondered why don't it reduce speepiness?), but could remove unhappiness and stress bonuses. I would love a way to heat it back though. Also, while we're at it, maybe with this the idea of black tea/coffee with lesser bonuses (and no hunger) and drainable coffee could make it's way in ? I wouldn't mind having Coffee and Tea recipes split for that matter too.
    EDIT: Actually a small evolved recipe for hot drinks would be nice actually. It wouldn't even have to limit the use of ingredients. Want an extra strong coffee or a tea from two teabags? No problem! Two doses of sugar? Sure! Also - milk . Plus in the future there might be more sweeteners to add.

    I second that, especially for coffee. With so much non-food things already being drainable (like tissues and towels, but that's good), I'm surprised some foods still aren't

    You could also break doors for planks I assume. But yeah, would be nice to have an effect on what you can get from a tree outside of cutting it or foraging for random stuff, or to break some furniture

    Fixed always fishing with a wooden spear Fixed more typos (thanks Faalagorn!) Added ReplaceOnRotten props for items, use it to get melted icecream Fixed icecream freezer item (is now only a freezer and not a fridge) Added mini freezer on trailer park style fridge (mini fridge) (the big fridge will have to wait me to ask Mash to be sure ) Fixed organized trait making some items disappeared when transferring them Egg carton now have a day fresh/rotten and give his age to eggs when opening it Opening egg carton no longer give cooking xp (also empty bottles, etc...) Added food type to red radish (can now be added in evolved recipe) Wild egg now have day fresh/rotten props

    Actually, Carrefour uses those kind of vertical freezers and so does other markets around here - at least in Poland. They are uncommon (most of them are regular fridges for dairy, beer or other things).
    Quick find from Google images: http://wiadomoscihandlowe.pl/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/mro%C5%BConki.jpg (pl. mrożonki = frozen goods) - they usually have things packaged in cartons that are good for display, such as pizzas, burgers, but also fries and other frozen goods too)

    Faalagorn: yes it's known, I said it could contains weird bug, it'll be fixed don't worry about that, nothing to do with nutrition

    It's not meant to be a huge micro management thing, don't worry about that.
    Main concern is calorie, I really want the playuer to have a fear of late-game nutrition, as Ohbal said, only living on 2-3 vegetables will tend to give you bad nutrition, not kill you, but give you some malus (broken bones faster, getting sleepy faster...)
    But, a good protein diet could give you significant gain in strength xp for example!
     
    But yeah, prot/carbs/lips aren't the big thing, I'm quite sure about my calories system, but I'm kinda afraid of bad other nutrition variable as it'll be hard to manage 'cause: 1) player eat bad in game, they doesn't care only hunger reduction matters, 2) lack of certain food to vary your alimentation (I'm working on new foods btw, pasta, rice...)
     
    And last word: OMG OHBAL IM PMING YOU I NEED MORE INFOS
