  1. It's an attempted fix for people to stop reloading characters. Dump the save and play a bit more legit.
  2. If there were to be vehicles really added into the game, then it would be time for an upgrade of weaponry as well to deal with the new threat. Assault rifles and buffs to the caliber of weapon in particular.
  3. What, if you want to climb fast though a broken window, because of zombies in your back? Is it also possible to press 'E' several times in quick succession (I forgot how that is called.)? That does't really mean for just window frames. It's a problem to some people who just tap e and then jump off the side of a building. He just made it harder. Also going by what you are saying you are neglecting to realize that your scenario would most likely be on the first floor, and anyone who found themselves attempting this on the second floor already had a deathwish.
  4. Same applies to the M134 Minigun. The point is that there generally isn't enough capital on hand for the average citizen to own one, meaning its not a probable threat in regards to crime. That's how I like to see this flamethrower business anyhow. The problem is that due to this opening, and now the incredible cheap nature per unit, 900 bucks (http://xm42.com/) is well within the range of some psychotic fool for roasting people and not their backyard. The fear of this means that now a stance must be taken on this, more than likely against it, for the simple reason of availability.
  5. Now when can this become public? Because frankly I love you right now.
  6. Ok lets just put this simply. Do you want to lag out while screaming that your computer is running a tad too hot for your tastes? Constantly? Try putting 1000 zombies on the map at once in your general proximity. You may notice turbulence. Now try 4000-8000 depending on settings, as a default. Besides the memory you are now using simply as map data. There are not many rigs designed to handle that many processes at once(not likely you have anything close to it AT ALL commerically), much less contain the information in general... for the single instance of a program. Meaning this is ignoring literally every other program running on your machine. Much less even if you COULD hypothetically run it, which would be insanely labor intensive on your rig (yet again), due to the fact you are not viewing anything else there is no point to it. You are just running more operations that you have no hopes of acting upon. Hence, as EnigmaGray stated, is a common business practice. In all reality the better option is to limit view distance to reduce strain on the machine/program and then use those freed resources for more detailed models(art) and functionality. What you could, and should argue for however is having the ability for a higher draw distance so more of the map loads if the user chooses. Tl;dr: This is a stupid fucking idea and you should never think of it again because you don't know what you are walking into. Look for the ability to get the option for more of the map to load at once rather than the entire map itself. Edit: Checking with the fact that my current game is going at 950mb-1500mb I'd rather not test this whatsoever.
  7. I don't need luck. I have ammo.

  8. Personally on the tangent of jars.... You can pick them up in flats, and commonly do so in my case. Lids of course follow this same understanding, moreso due to the fact that they are actually a one use deal realistically. My only complaint is the availability of jars and lids as this is something not many people (urban folk) understand and would not actually account for in the beginning of the end times. On top of this all materials for preserving food are a bitch to find and keep in good stock. This really makes no sense to me considering how easy it really is to get said supplies. Just a thought, as this doesn't mean we'd get to such a point as a community or use them much anyways.
  9. It's considered a win if you make it a year. Think about that. As it stands? As above. Find a river, hopefully have the supplies you need and all the books to match. Just make sure you were incredibly active in the previous months to have the base to stand on. Foraging and fishing will keep you alive as all you have left are canned foods, and whatever didn't expire. Tip - make a 3x3 ring/ one spot open in the middle of sand/earth so you don't burn the place down.
  10. nope Doesn't matter, it's pretty bad Though it DOES show burning water. Nope, but Ive seen Wyrmwood (2015) where the zombies create flammable gazes during the day only, and the normal gazes fuel dont work anymore so they hook up their cars to the zombies mouths to fuel the cars. I think we found the worst of the two movies lol
  11. Almost always listening to some comedy, usually its by this fellow. Probably NSFW *cough*
  12. "Karma is a bitch you know that" - other previously "Well I'm going to finish the job before I get on with my run" - Me Falls off a 6 story platform in multiplayer even though I jumped with the sheet rope (glitched through and simply fell). Yeah... you don't survive that, especially with a full pack.
  13. I'm going to throw my two cents at this, and little is new under this scorching sun. I am what most players in the server I play on could be considered bipolar. I will help and heal you, or dump a full magazine of 9mm in your back. Occasionally I'll even toy with people by hitting them with a single round and make them bleed out for pissing me off, in a sense the possibilities are endless. But there is one thing I don't do. Change my name. The amount hostility and rage associated with my name is notable, yet if needed I can still set up a trade. My point is this. People need to where you stand, and if they cant figure out why you cull the population of cities, let them have some guide of reference they actually do understand. People, most at least, associate names with actions. This is especially prevalent in online gameplay. Most people will disregard and ignore minor damage to the ecosystem regardless of your "cooperation" to their ideals. Secondly, while pvp is one of my favorite pass times in project zomboid, being a pkk is actaully more enjoyable. Being a PKK means player killer killer, meaning those who actually reload broken saves, and those with the good shit, are my real targets. It's amazing what the average player holds, but ammo can be annoying to find in public servers. Tl;dr: How you use ur name changes everything online from notoriety to respect, hold some morals, and it's more beneficial to you and your sanity to kill others like you or worse. Otherwise your cherry picked newbie kills will literally leave from the rage of feeling hopeless (I wish I was kidding).
  14. Well you could say a zombie went through that window and left blood, or that the blood on you was allowed to enter your skin by the broken glass cuts. But in all realism it probably is a poor scripting error that was a callback to the "scratched" condition rather than a subsection of it that wasn't modified to eliminate the possibility of zed infection from it. Strangest things in coding like that. Tl; Dr : It's probably a lazy coding job because yes I've had that happen to me as well. Also: The lucky trait does nothing for zed infections, only loot drops. The resilient trait merely slows the rare of zombification. What you want is a higher guard level and thick skin trait.
  15. There are obvious flaws in the project zomboid. Hit chance, damage per caliber on a soft target, aiming hit chance, range-visability, and weapon variants. While that was all done for hopefully balancing issues, some of it is a pain in the ass. For example, the pistol is hands down currently the best general purpose weapon in the game. Highest fire rate, ammo capacity, survivabilty, ammo management, reload rate, and time to kill. Did I mention the mobility/ run and gun aspect? Its only literal downsides are weight compensation for its high ammo usage. Hence why this gun gets so much love. The shotgun is the best zed clearer, but fails in comparison to the pistol in pvp due to its slower firing speed. Enough people have elaborated on their love of the shotgun, yet personally I'm more partial to the rifles (why I'm making this post) and would rather defend them instead. Rifles are hand down the hardest weapon to use and learn within the game by far. High aim, insane noise per shot, and lower dps than wanted. Their asset however is range. As most player play the pistol game, they cannot cope with a rifles range whatsoever. Pick your engagements and ambushes, and you simply wont lose. From overwatch, to potshots, to assassinations there is rarely a better weapon. As it doesn't have to be your only weapon. That aspect is critical. The current rifles are the hunting rifle and the varmient rifle. Use each rifle for what they are rated for, they both aren't useless, people just don't know how the hell to use what they have. My last bit of wisdom, solidified from my own engagements, is that even a single bullet is deadly. It's not the lead posioning that has killed most of my victims sparing the pistol, it was bleedout. From experience most players lack the medical knowledge or resources to survive a firefight. That is an unexpected, ignored, but insanely useful piece of knowledge. Unless they are armed for bear, they still dont carry the needed medical equipment to survive a firefight because they simply don't account for it, or need the space in their bag. And THAT is more critical than what weapon you need to worship.
  16. Personally I'd like to expand on this saying that we really DO need more diversity in skill sets, and more use out of what we have for that matter. A science skill (so much to work with), expanded engineering skill to include fabrication, electrical for actual wiring of new residences, effective measures to deal with infections and an expanded health system otherwise compressed into herbalist, and general production classes as a whole such as the venerable blacksmith (someone who can actually repair something correctly without using wood glue). But that is my two sense. When it comes down to actual building of engines that use bio based fuels, one they typically need a mixed ratio so they actually run correctly. In particular (to my knowledge) for burn rates and compression reasons. However, thinking back to previous research people have no issues dealing with the tuning of motorcycles to run on just about anything. Granted, you need to be an actual bloody mechanic hence my point that if you wish to implement this, you need a class capable of doing the adjustments and fabrications. Note: I am not a trained mechanic by any means whatsoever, as such, by all means tear me a new one and properly elaborate on this.
