  1. The map has a few wells. I think it's enough. Wouldn't want to cut too many corners gameplay wise. Rain barrels is one of the few reasons to even level up carpentry. And I mean, is the game really short on water, now that you have ability to use the river?
  2. I fully support this post.
  3. Pepsi. Do you think sleeping with co-workers is a bad idea?
  4. Some terrible stuff from EiraZomb's current season: "If you see my wife, tell her..." - Alan Richards "This is bullshit, you're bluffing, Frank! Stand down in the name of the law!" or something like that, - Walter Falkner. Or should I say, Willie Woods?! "Shit." - Samantha Williams "Thanks, Frank." - Megan Cartwright "Looks like you'll be getting those nails for free, Frank. I'll leave the boxes on the ground at the place we first met. Do me a favor when you see me. A clean cut." - Lydia Adams
  5. Stripping from the burning clothes should be an anti-fire thing too. Also, if you're by the river, pressing E many times in front of the river (panic action), or right click water and choose - "extinguish yourself" should extinguish you by diving into water.
  6. The reason it's low on priority, is probably because you're all suggesting it with some effects xD Which means more work for devs. All I want is a number input field to display the age I want.
  7. This is from the roleplayer dorks. Please let us set the character age, make it like 21 to 90 or something. It doesn't have to do anything, just helps immersion.
  8. RJ, because one day you wake up, and the girl is gone, and you're naked in front of an open window, and zombies are downstairs and all you have is a rope, a whip, and a pair of handcuffs.
  9. ChaosLegion, why don't you go ahead and try this at home? Perhaps on a friend who annoys you. Let me know the results
  10. I don't see the OP factor? It would have less impact that a Molly. And there really is not a lot of hairspray in the game. I mean, we have Molotovs, that can be crafted out of whiskey, and we have a whole ton of whiskey in the game. A single Molly can wreck half a town. And we're worried about being OP? You could make it an optional switch in the .ini HairsprayFire = true Griefing problem solved. In circles like mine, where roleplayers are selectively picked, this would be amazing! And it's realistic. Why else have hairspray? To do hair? Please!
  11. Something my multiplayer players suggested. Not near the Molotov level of destruction, but maybe a close range single-zombie fire action. Sets one zombie on fire. Make it have limited uses, like 3 shots per hairspray can. Viable. It's viable, I think. Would be super cool. What do you say?
  12. Outdoorsman. Lucky. Thick Skinned. Strong. Ultimate Ranger.
  13. RJ you rock! All the boondock saints thank you for the Rope!
  14. But the date settings allow you to go to 2012 though, that's canon!
  15. Pretty simple. Just like character creation, but you don't have to end up at 0 points. Let's find out how unbalanced, overpowered, or underpowered you really are. Rules: 1. No lying, no trying to make yourself look tougher than you really are for the sake of being cool. 2. Use PZ traits/professions as of 32.16 That's about it. I am especially interested to hear from Lemmy, Binky, MashPotato, RJ, and pretty much other devs, because I'm certain they've done this in their heads already. So, I will start: Charname: Konrad Knox Profession: Fisherman Traits: Fit Former Scout Self Defense Class Hiker Dexterous Graceful Gardener Hunter Inconspicuous Keen Hearing Adrenaline Junkie Lucky Flaws: Disorganized Prone to Illness Weak Stomach Thin Skinned Slow Healer Hypochondriac Sleepyhead High Thirst
  16. Can be, yes. All kinds of freak accidents can happen, absolutely. Depending on a person's agility, strength, dexterity, constitution, the specific landing conditions, and sometimes just dumb luck. But currently in PZ a fracture is a 100% guarantee, no matter who you are. I have personally jumped from 2nd story windows and never broke anything. In PZ terms I could be considered a strength 5 fitness 7 character. I'm not too strong, but plenty agile.
  17. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Timeline_of_solar_cells Dunno about that, Stio. The game calendar lets you start as late as 2012. And in 2004, there were already proposals for solar roofs. Other things to work on: Building a radio / cell tower to get the phones working again. Wind turbines - great idea, Stio! Mining? Getting some kind of sustainable fuel source? Setting up labs to craft medication? Growing tobacco, brewing alcohol, getting some entertainment type substances back. Burying the burnt zombie ashes. Learning to recycle them as fertilizer. Shooting down a helicopter. Rebuilding a crashed helicopter to board it, get out, and win the game. ------ Although, is it really PZ's focus to rebuild civilization? The game is dystopian. Not dying for a while, you can say you won, and step through the door towards the light, credit roll, hopeful feels. You know? Do we really need to actually define the beyond-survival win conditions? See, in multiplayer, my players just agree that whoever lives a year - wins the season. Next round we crank up settings.
  18. I seem to agree with the majority's opinion in this thread. I think jumping from a second story deliberately should not fracture you all the time. My players brought this to attention with multiple complaints, and I agree. I strongly think it should depend on several things: 1. Are the character's hands empty, to balance the jump/fall? - busy hands increase damage 2. Is a bag equipped on the back? - a bag equipped increases damage 3. Is the character in panic? - increases damage 4. Is the character already wounded and in pain? - increases damage. 5. Is the character overweight, obese, clumsy? - all of those increase damage. A character with a gymnast trait should be immune to second story fall fractures.
  19. Gout - a character cannot run, climb, or sneak without being in pain. Running, climbing, and sneaking automatically invokes pain debuff.
  20. In Multiplayer (which is the only thing I play nowadays) Hemophobic is a very serious trait. A skilled medic can save people's lives with high first aid skill. If you're hemophobic, you can't save anyone, and in late game it matters a lot. Not all traits are early game, and campaigns can be customized to make use of particular traits or make them useless. If there is no loot respawn, you eventually run out of food and water. You have to purify water and find food. If wildlife abundance is set to anything other than "High" or "very High", then food is scarce. Fish is low, traps come up empty, foraging is bad. Then Hearty Appetite really becomes a problem, and high thirst pretty much guarantee that you spend a lot of time purifying water. It also limits your house location to close to water, because you cannot make long runs. Which means you share with neighbors. So I definitely would not call it free points.
  21. My autistic fortress of solitude. The Ultimate Ranger in his rangery hideout. I call it Fort Knob Creek. http://images.akamai.steamusercontent.com/ugc/449584197689577846/48124C7DEB293C13ABE62435A0C980B401F7685B/
