  1. This is true that older cars were more "durable" but the materials had certainly shifted to the more crunchy safe materials by the mid 90s. That being said, a deer (or person/zombie) coming over the hood and through the windshield isn't going to be fun for anyone inside regardless of the frame lol And you're right about the direction thing. It's common for demolition derby drivers to do this in an attempt to protect their engine Also, I should note that my previously mentioned car was an old 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee. It was a beast of a car but a blunt hit to the wheel sure messed things up quick.
  2. I've been hoping this is the case for such a long time. I personally hope hitting a few or a couple zombies knocks your car out of commission just like it would in real life. I think we all agree that the detail put into Project Zomboid is what makes it great and that the more realistic the detail the better. I can only hope vehicles follow the same suit. Also, I love every time something adds to the list of "this is how you died" lol Edit: I also just got my car hit in a parking lot, and while the damage wasn't insanely bad, it was certainly enough to stop me from driving safely with it. It's amazing how fragile cars actually are.

    Stash in the Attic

I'm also really hoping they add some farm based animals down the line as well. We already have farms with chicken coops and fenced off areas for them so I feel like it would be fitting if we saw some things like pigs, cows and chickens to go with Kentucky's wildlife And I of course think we're all hoping for dogs too lol

    Stash in the Attic

Really hoping this is a hint towards wildlife Animals are my most desired feature by far
  5. I'm totally on board to give the mighty toaster the power it deserves But I may be a bit biased
  6. I completely agree and even recommended they do this when nutrition was first released for testing. Not only is it confusing for US players but I've always found the 80kg (175lb) start too high for an average person.
  7. Just a suggestion but it would be a nice complement to the new oven/microwave settings for foods with labels to have cooking instructions. Most packaged foods have cooking instructions for the oven or microwave (if not both). Just like when you buy a frozen pizza and it tells you how long and what temperature to cook it at, popcorn and TV dinners could tell you how long to set the timer on the microwave. It might help some of the people that are intimidated by cooking
  8. I would hope that once cars are into the game we'll see them there too. Everyone I knew in the 90s had at least local maps in their car just in case. I also hope that once the playable in-game map is completed they decided to add a "Knox County" map that covers the locations of towns and highways more than what's in each town
  9. I really like this idea for when your character starts to get really tired I'm still hoping they'll decide to add passing out from extreme lack of sleep like the moodle warns too. Like you mentioned, the sleep moodle really doesn't currently have the negative side effects that it should.
  10. Love this idea Would be really cool for when it gets really cold for a few days And to solve the issue of the Ohio River being crossable it could only freeze out to a certain distance before becoming water again

    In-Game Mappage

As it was stated a few Mondoids ago, the animation build has been in the works for a while now and the "preview" you saw a few months ago was just that, a preview. These things take time and we'll see them come to fruition (there's a million things that can come into play). I've not only been dying for animations but I've been dying to have my friends play with me too, so I understand where you're coming from.

    In-Game Mappage

Really excited about the maps I know it's still a WIP version but I think it might be more intuitive to have the mouse pointer turn into the symbols when you select one. I feel like it would be more clear where you're placing it that way. Anyway, great Mondoid as always! Excited to hear about all the things in the works right now
  13. I really hope the devs decide to put this in after animations hit. Would actually make the sleep moodle matter.

    Dead Territory

Excited to see that microwaves are going to be treated differently in the future! I like the idea of reheating fully cooked oven/fire/bbq meals to replenish their happiness boost or something Also sounds like it would be a fun fire starter when combined with a cooking pot lol
  15. I could have sworn this was just added but I can't find the exact change note right now. If so I think this is a bug and if not the item should get a small (reduced) amount of water fill on rain like similar items do.

    Build 36 Team up

Very excited to hear about the work General Arcade will be doing I was wondering what the progress/approach was since the loading issue had been mentioned in an older Mondoid a while back Keep up the great work Looking forward to seeing animations and the 5 step road map once they're ready
  17. I feel like that would be a pretty overpowered profession compared to what's in the game to be honest. Also we already have "Boy Scout" as the "Former Scout" trait (it gives +1 First Aid & +1 Foraging for 6 points). I feel like it's better as a trait rather than having it a profession considering characters are not children and it's by no means a career/profession. Having fishing, forging, blade maintenance, cooking, first aid, and trapping on one trait (or one profession even) would be way too much but luckily you can mix and match existing traits to get what you're going for pretty easily. The cheapest way to get what you're looking while keeping your character Unemployed is to go with Angler, First Aider, Cook, Hiker and Handy. Then you could take bad traits like Slow Reader, Weak Stomach, Hearty Appetite, Slow Healer and High Thirst and it really wouldn't be bad at all. I will say I love the idea of a trait or profession giving the ability to know time (or a roundabout time) without a watch though It would also be nice if there was a trait or two for cheaper Blunt and/or Blade Maintenance, as right now the cheapest way to get either one of those with traits is by spending a lofty 8 points on Handy. Edit: I went into the game to double check some things and remembered Burger Flipper can get you +1 Blade Maintenance and +2 Cooking for 6 points (but it of course takes up your only "profession" slot). So technically you can make this character a little cheaper with it by using it in place of Handy at 8 points and Cook at 6 points. Now you wouldn't need to take nearly as many bad traits and could go with something like High Thirst, Hearty Appetite and Slow Reader to balance out needing Angler, First Aider and Hiker still
  18. The fact that TIS has stuck to their guns is why I love them so much The scope (and planned scope) of PZ is what makes it such an amazing game, truly something on a scale that we've never seen before
  19. Love these changes to trapping and wildlife nutrition! Thanks for the adjustments Love the nutrition system and little fixes like this make it work even better
  20. Welcome to early access, kid. I've been burned so many times (some times with games, sometimes with movies) mostly in early E.A./KickStarter days and still up to this day with things like No Mans Sky. PZ and early access games are like a pre-purchase at best. Never buy a pre-purchase game unless you already love what you know it has. Luckily unlike pre-purchase games, early access games let you play what's done from the get-go. You get the game right away! Everything else is a bonus! You got what you paid for and luckily you'll get more because TIS doesn't quit. You just need to calm down and be patience like the rest of us adults out here. Short/Medium version: Don't buy an early access game (or Kick Starter type thing of any kind) if you expect to get the final product no mater what. Anyone that's done it more than one knows you can get burned and never see that promised final product. It's a gamble most of the time and luckily with PZ you get a product up front to begin with plus they never quit working their way towards 1.0 and adding new features along the way (making the game so much better).
  21. This has been stated officially so many times... Here's one of the early Mondoids I read about what 1.0 means and how TIS wont abandon the game: https://projectzomboid.com/blog/2014/06/march-to-1-0/ It's also been stated multiple times that TIS has enough sales on PZ to finish the development up to 1.0 without question. It's really a shame impatient people complaining all the time (when buying an "Early Access" game) have made most of the team want to leave the project after 1.0... At least we'll get a fraction of the team sticking around to keep more content coming. I'll never understand you little kids that complain about continued development and addition of new features. Only because a feature so complex you couldn't even begin to code it isn't in the game yet. Also, along that point, getting technical was what Mondoids used to be all about. But then the comments became a whine fest about NPCs not being out yet instead of how amazing the development work that was being done on them was. People that love game design (and even went to college for it like me) got robbed of an amazing game dev blog because of whiny brats...
  22. The Rosewood in the game isn't based on the Rosewood in real life. It's just a town they created for PZ to fill space between Knox/Muldraugh and the future areas leading towards Brandenburg. It was done more recently to hold us over for animations and creative mode since Orell (the start of the Louisville outskirts) has been put on the shelf for whatever reason (I assume it has something to do with the "basement" update that will change the way the map loads to allow for taller buildings). Mondoid outlining what the map plans are for 1.0 release: https://projectzomboid.com/blog/2014/06/march-to-1-0/ Mondoid referencing map loading change: https://projectzomboid.com/blog/2016/02/dark-places/ Orell teaser from a couple years ago: Mondoid that the Orell teaser is from: http://projectzomboid.com/blog/2015/01/h1pz2/
  23. I really like this idea It could work similarly to the way alarms do now It makes a lot of sense since that's how microwaves work in real life too
  24. First off, let me say welcome to The Indie Stone forum Secondly, I totally agree and I know many others in the community want the same thing, so thank you for bringing it up as your first post here! It truly demonstrates how common sense this suggestion is
  25. Regardless of who's issue this is to fix it's been an issue for a few builds (on and off now). It's been fixed and then broken again. And for a hardcore PZ gamer (like the people that play this game on IWBUMS) it's a big issue, considering the wood stove is one of the best items in the game.
