SpaceJunk
Nope. After the repair, validated once more and it reported again +4600 files failed to validate and starts reinstalling them again.
EnigmaGrey
You don't, unfortunately. The server will have to be updated.

EnigmaGrey
You're in the experimental, unstable, branch of the game. You used a password found on a page with terms and conditions for its use.Be patient, wait for the server admin to install the update.

RobertJohnson
If server is still in 30.3 then it's normal your lua file doesn't match. If you play on French server, go on French forum ? Ask Bret to update the server, he usualy do it around 8-10pm, let this guy have a life and a job

SpaceJunk
I get the Lua checksum error too on all public 30.6 servers except the [FR] one, even after nuking the local folders, selecting Beta before reinstalling and performing a clean install. Maybe the checksum is not right for Linux?
RobertJohnson
Unistall/Reinstall, Steam may have screwed one file
harakka
Delete the installed server and client files manually, there may be Lua files in there left over for some reason. The Lua file mismatch errors aren't caused by save issues, but with the server and client having different script files.
RobertJohnson
Yup, we push updates almost every day, looks like Steam doesn't like it.. Scumbag Steam! (kidding, love you Gaben, marry me.)
SpaceJunk
I used Steam's Verify local files an it said +4600 files failed the integrity check. What gives. Let's see if it works after fixing them.
false_chicken
I get the Lua checksum error too on all public 30.6 servers except the [FR] one, even after nuking the local folders, selecting Beta before reinstalling and performing a clean install. Maybe the checksum is not right for Linux?I also had issues getting the checksum to match. I tried clearing everything and starting from scratch. I didn't get the chance to test Linux to Linux but it seemed no matter how I installed the game Windows clients could not connect to my Linux server when the checksum was enabled.. I tried installing the Linux server using Steamcmd and out of desperation simply copying the entire folder from my Windows machine to the Linux server (To be absolutely certain that the files matched exactly) and still failed. My server would actually be public right now if I could have got it to work. At the moment its private so I can populate the game with known non-cheaters. false_chicken
D:oohhh nooo! How its possible!?we should have the opportunity to do it, to download the build we want!Cmon!I know this doesn't help you now but I actually have a local git repository setup that I commit to every update. It allows me to switch versions at will. Also useful for tracking file modifications to get an idea of some of the changes before they are posted .
