  1. Where I live, many denizens survive off of well water, and crops are easily grown; food isn't a problem. It's Illinois however. Knowing Chicago, we're all screwed.
  2. Knox county is quarantined. Though what if the infection hasn't spread out of Knox County; or it has, but hasn't had that much of an impact due to aforementioned strict quarantine. I'd think some people would love to do tests on the munchers. Also, considering the nature of the army, I'd expect some form of chain and command being adhered to, even if those in the military are essentially left to die. (I'm sure there'd be mass hysteria about Knox County if this was found out anyways, the military, and the government as a whole would go to drastic measures to make sure the infection stayed in Knox County at the very least.
  3. I've already got a few root cellars...And a smokehouse. I mean, who doesn't have a smokehouse? It's the U.S.A. folks! BBQ is a way of life.
  4. Eh, it all depends. Right now in the U.S. 60% of the mainland is going through a freeze. A few weeks ago in Atlanta Georgia it was 6 degrees fahrenheit. I've got cousins in northern Louisiana a few years back who had a snowball fight. I think if we're going to be talking about weather, we can't ignore snow. Even the southern states are starting to get battered.
  5. I don't waste time training my dogs to do parlor tricks. I train them to hunt, alert when danger is around, protect me and my property, etc. I guess someone might train their dog to play dead, but I can't see the point to it save for entertainment.
  6. I'd probably keep all the dogs I found in-game. IRL they're great for hunting. Just feed them a few scraps of meat or some kibble while on the hunt or when they're inactive, and they'll be fine. Even if one follows you, I'd say that'd be the perfect time to break out the shotgun and kill some zeds...If only to get a few more skill points. Dangerous? Yes. Stupid? Yes. Rewarding? Most definitely.
  7. Hehehe. You've never met my Uncle.
  8. ...Who doesn't know how to start a fire? You get some kindling, logs, etc...You're golden. Seriously. What kind of fool doesn't know how to light a fire? Kids these days.
  9. I had the same woodberry' ish idea for when NPCs are added. It would be too boring to do with out them, like having a huge mansion, but no friends or family to share it with. Exactly! What's the fun in it all if nobody is plotting against you? Or arguing about stupid crap?
  10. Ahh, forgive me for that! I jumped the wagon there.
  11. Whoah there, bud. I dunno about anyone else around here, but I love hickory nuts. Bitter food may taste like crap, but in a pinch I'd rather eat hickory nuts than starve. Plus, bitter food makes your tongue go wild.
  12. Not sure where the unhappiness comes from. I know of folk who drink as if they were fish and the worst they get is being a little buzzed, and very happy.
  13. Sewing would be great. That in addition to making cloth. (Long ways away I'd bet, though.)
  14. I myself wouldn't smoke marijuana in a zombie apocalypse. It changes perception rapidly, and the effects of psychosis can be serious; paranoia, harm, pain...A number of things, really. Though if the plant is eaten rather than smoked, or some of the harmful effects removed, it's a possibility it could be used as a pain killer in the zombie apocalypse. Though I do have my doubts.
  15. I'm not quite sure a hospital would be around in such a small town. At least, not in the magnitude found in larger towns or in cities. Maybe a community hospital in the center of town, that acts more like a clinic. Possibly, we could have a couple of clinics or drugstores in town as well. Even in small towns people compete like crazy. Who knows, we might have a veterinarian clinic in town as well. Somebody needs to help take care of all of those animals. All of this is why the game shows so much promise. Because in a town like Muldraugh, there are lots of possibilities. Also, I'm sure that there'd be a fire station. Possibly two buildings, though. West Point and Muldraugh, falling under the same administration-Yeah. I'm maybe looking at too many possibilities here. Let's just say that this game has lots of promise, and I've no doubt the devs are putting their blood, sweat, and tears into this game.
  16. A nerdgasm has been had. I'm backing this.
  17. The reason why NPCs have been...Well, put down the line slightly, is that they're going to be complex. Relationships, beliefs, heck, I'm sure that the devs might have some NPCs calling for some rudimentary democracy every now and again. I'd rather NPCs come later with excellent quality, than something watered down.
  18. From what I've seen, it can make the game interesting. Of course, I'd say it might need some fine tuning, considering. Other people have had the idea to move to the wilderness before, and there's a possibility they might stumble across your cabin. Personally? I've a plan to wall up Dixie entirely and make it thrive. The AI Director will make it all the more challenging.
  19. Makes sense; though I still think that not every animal should have that effect. Sure, the animals are alive, but they can be an inconvenience if you don't know how to deal with them, or they are timid or aggressive. Similar to how you can become depressed in the game, or get wet via rain.
  20. It can't be munchers due to forum history. Do tell.
  21. I'm a farmer in real life. This is a strong possibility, though once NPCS are added? Trust me when I say that most farmers will defend their livestock to the bone. Even if it's not the zombie apocalypse. So I'd say that there should be a good sum of difficulty if you try herding or stealing animals. Not to mention the noise they make. All the more fun, I say. Also, I'd say that not every animal should be a stress reliever if interacted with. Cattle are a pain in the rear to deal with, and the bulls usually aren't friendly. (I had a cow that was like a dog, though. She would let me scratch her, pet her. Though that's rare.)
