  1. I may be the only one that feels this way, but I think it would be an improvement to remove "Survivor" and "Builder" options from the available selections when starting a SP game. I think these should remain "presets" in the sandbox menu, but I think it causes confusion being on the main page. "Survivor" only exists to cater to people who didn't like the combat changes in B41, I don't think it makes sense to keep it on the main menu. Thoughts?
  2. Ah ok, that's what I thought that it meant. Just wanted to make sure my character wasn't going to have a sudden heart attack after some time. Two months in on apocalypse so far... we'll see if I can make it through the winter. Loving the update by the way, you guys are the best.
  3. The short/long lifespan part of the new playstyle descriptions is a little confusing to me, not sure what it means.

    I think there should still be a small chance for zeds to spawn outside their designated areas. May not be necessary if they are able to break out and wander on their own, though. It's been a while I can't recall if that can happen off-screen. Seeing a zombie walking down the street in a bathrobe once in a blue moon would be cool. Or seeing a zed in a spiffo costume at the police station and wondering why he was arrested.
  5. Yes, experiencing this as well, my friend also seems to get a lot of freezes still. Strange because his pc build is comparable to mine.

  7. Every car has ignition failure for me whenever I host a server. Not seeing many people talk about this, but I have seen a couple. Anyone know what's causing it?
  8. My friend and I have been getting the lag as well, changing these definitely seems to have improved the performance for me. My friend has yet to test it, will probably report back with his results at some point.

  10. That can't be right at all. Trying to level foraging with Park Ranger, Hiker, Former Scout, and Fast Learner and honestly the grind is too much, even for a character that heavily specializes in it. Edit: The farming part is definitely exaggerated. After harvesting 5 cabbages I only hit level 8. Still.......Farming is super easy to level compared to everything else. I realized what might be the cause of this, I'm in a multiplayer server. It's quite possible, and probably likely that the server settings are giving increased xp.
  11. If you pick Police Officer or Veteran, and take the hunter and fast learner traits, you can get to level 10 aiming with less than 50 zombie kills. Not to mention the extra 40+ available skill points you'll have on the side. Same goes with farming, you can get to farming 10 only harvesting 3 crops as long as you have the right occupation and traits, and read the skillbooks. The balance is off quite a bit, but I still absolutely love the new occupation/trait system. I get that some people might say well yea, if you spend all your points on a certain skill, you should be able to level it up fast, but level 10 of anything should be late game. Not achievable in less than 24 hours in-game time. I know everything is still being tweaked and balanced, but that's exactly why im writing this! I really think the current fast learner trait is way overpowered. On the other hand, my current character is illiterate, not a fast learner (not a slow learner either), and the pace at which I level up skills seems almost perfectly balanced. I love it. The only issue is how many available skill points I've accumulated. Increasing the experience required to gain an available skill point needs drastic changes in my opinion. love you tis
  12. This looks great! I have a friend who thinks the game has a lot of potential, but thinks the UI is too clunky to play right now. This kind of stuff would be right up his alley I'm sure.

  14. Really like the nightcrawlers one, makes me wish they had a way to differentiate zombie attributes for day and for night in sandbox mode.
  15. If something like this is implemented, it would be nice to be able to dig up the grave too. Maybe you're desperate for a sweater in the winter and remember the graves out back, or maybe you choose to hide valuables like guns on buried corpses,
  16. *Spoiler* I found a few of the new foods for anyone curious. Canned tomatoes, canned potatoes, canned peas, zucchini, avocado, pineapple, cherry, and yogurt. I only checked houses, so I think most of the remaining new foods are probably specific to grocery stores, bakeries, etc. Edit: All but the canned tomatoes and canned potatoes had missing sprites, just fyi.

  18. Bug: Right-clicking and selecting, "Cut down tree" ignores the slowed axe swing from the exhaustion moodles.
  19. Bug I noticed, I made a few bowls of stew and when I clicked eat all there was 1 hunger reduction left in the bowl, AND the full bonus of boredom and unhappiness was left unscathed so I essentially got the bonus twice by finishing the remaining -1 in the bowl.

So far so good, stuff is spawning correctly too it seems. i recomend you to test some guns and building as well as other implemented functions. I tried to fix it myself but im to noob in lua The guns I've tested work. But apparently the new "construct" mechanic in this mod doesnt quite work. the context menu pops up, but I cant actually craft. I'll keep working on it. lockpicking actually isn't working atm either. Anyways, SOME progress has been made haha, ill keep ya posted. Update: So there are a number of things that are broken still. I'm going to go to sleep, but I will continue to try and fix what remains to be fixed. If it's all beyond me I'll do my best to at least get what DOES work separated from what doesn't. Update 2: I gave up on getting everything to work, but now I'm trying to salvage what I can. Fixed a couple game breaking bugs, (sledgehammer couldn't destroy, axe couldn't chop trees, etc.) but I'm slow at this because I know nothing about lua.

  22. I just succeeded in getting the entire mod to work I believe. Fixed the sandbox option screen, and all of the items I have tested so far appear to work. I spawned all the items by pressing the end key, so something I haven't checked is if they actually spawn naturally in the world. I'll post back with more deets.
  23. Just want to confirm the seed packet bug, it's happening to me too. They just disappear after being opened. Also I really like the idea I read about different moodles for different levels of exhaustion! And the idea of making your own vinegar sounds great too, but it makes me think there is a need for a new type of book/magazine. In addition to skill books, maybe there can be recipe books around the world that are more focused towards teaching specific crafting options. Things like how to make vinegar, how to make more complex traps, how to make a splint... things that would be really handy to know, but that your average Joe might not know how to do. But as I think about it more this idea is completely unnecessary... skill books already unlock more crafting options, and I know the devs are going to expand on that more in the future. I'd erase this completely useless idea if I hadn't spent the last 5-10 minutes typing it up. Le sigh.
  24. My server also had the "loud beeping" problem (Just about 10 minutes ago) and we had to hard reset everything. All our data was corrupted and no one could join without red text saying that an error has occurred. Can confirm, had the same issue with my server. Had to reset the world, though I figured out how to save our characters at least!
