Its that time again for a new lore to be starting up. The start of the lore is Friday, March 2nd, 2018 at 7pm EST. It is not too late to jump on over to the forums and submit a character application HERE

1. The Lore

It all started without a single voice on the television warning us, a silent whisper through the streets of Fairhaven. Our only warnings were hidden within the depths of the web, even then, the information was bare, mere mentions of a super-virus with no list of symptoms accompanying it. How could we have prepared? We couldn’t have.


Within weeks, the super-virus finally tore through the veil shrouding it. It made national news, and Fairhaven was placed under quarantine by the U.S Government. We watched as parking lots were converted into refugee camps, shopping centers became quarantine centers, and our neighbors houses became burnt out shells of their former selves. Nobody told us anything, just that we couldn’t leave.


We held on by a thread, biting the bullet where we could until people started vanishing from the camps, starting with the elderly, ending with children. Nobody had any real clue what was going on, families made scenes, tried to incite violence, until they vanished too. People were too afraid to act past the formation of C.E.I.T.A. We kept on eating our pills, taking our shots and watching the news for more information. All of this in the span of three days … three days, a major populace was nearly wiped to nothing, sections of the city barred off … only in three days.


By day four? All we could hear were gunshots in the distance, the news telling us the quarantine had been expanded to Peoria and Bloomington, cutting us off from South Illinois. It wasn’t long until many of us were loaded up in buses and hauled off towards the military evacuation point outside the city … but not all of us, some of us were left behind to make our own way there. We gathered up in our cars and rode off, some towards the border, and some towards the evac point, right up until we reached the backed up highway with cars miles down.

Did some work on the map today, added a hospital and surrounding apartments
 

 

Something i worked on yesterday, A military blockade/quarantine area on the main road heading into Union City.
 

 
I also got the car spawns working again.
 

Double post but i had to show off Legolands amazing work.
 
He has created a huge number of buildings which i will now work into the map, This is just showing them all off.
 

 
While some have a similar exterior they are all furnished and colored differently so exploring is always fun and every house is unique in some way.
 

 
I also really like the shops he made so here's a closeup . Furniture, appliance and sewing stores, Gun store and an internet cafe.

I have got most sprites working in game now, The different colors really make a difference and give the game a fresh look for those who have been around for a long time and seen everything.

With Louisville a still a while off I decided to take up the task of getting a good sized city into the game.
 
Also, Yes the map does borrow the name from the last stand web browser games but otherwise has no relation

I don't have alot of time to work on the map these days, every now and then i will post updates though

Thank you! =D It's nice to get feedback. Of course goldies are on the list. I wanted to do the pack/war dogs first so I could get the bags and armor out of the way. Maybe goldies should have packs too? It's up to Hydro.
 
And I'm totally planning to do a black lab, it's just gonna be a while. I took a break on doing dogs after my IRL dog was hit by a car, and he was a black lab, so I'll probably do them last.  Just makes me a little sad now. But I still plan to do it!

Is there a way to get dropped items like flashlights to emit light when dropped on the ground?

On the Hydrocraft front page where it shoes the dog graph, it shows rotties as war dogs as well. Do you want me to make armor for them too? Of just stick to what is in the mod?

Hey guys I need an opinion. Is this horse too big? I can make it a little smaller if so.

Of course! Here's what I've done so far. I hope you don't mind, the male and female dogs are all different except for the beagle. I thought there was no harm in throwing in a little diversity. If you don't like a color you don't have to use it. ;P

Are these ok?

It's a good idea, adds some more realism to the game and have a purpose.

Wasn't sure where to put this, but I'm just surprised contacts + contact solution isn't a thing modders have introduced yet. I figure the contact case would work just like glasses do, the solution probably just for fun.
