Asking a question about the tailoring profession even tho its prob in the very earliest of stages any plans possibly of say modifying your bag with extra pockets giving a tiny bit more storage out of them?

    That's a brilliant idea!

Could even be used as an "utility" counterpart to the belt slots.

  2. Title.

Been 4 in-game hours in the rain, not even wet. Also, all of my plants (which I started planting as the rain started) say Parched.

Haven't yet built any rain collectors, so I dunno if those work, but as for everything else, the rain is kinda bugged.

    Fixed house alarms not working.

Now that explains why I was not getting a single alarm...

haha a nice way to find ammo in specific places ;)
Loot tables with "TheFurniture" - "Other" and "All" string make zombies spawn with specific loot. 😛

Yup! I found out that if lure a bunch of zed (via gunshot) into the back of a Gun Store (I used that remote one on the upper-left corner of the map), Zed will keep dropping all sorts of Gun Store loot, ad infinitum.

Walked out of that place with 5 military backpacks of ammo, one of each weapon (with all upgrades that spawn) and 3 Katanas, so we can officially christen that as "Best Bug Ever!". So TIS, don't fix that yet; just take your time, I'm sure there are bigger things that need fixing or adding first, right? Like Hunting, NPCs, Voice Acting, Fully Immersive VR and Console Ports, right? :P

  4. Weird; my lightbulbs are working fine, and I've replaced a few.

EDIT: I had only used Lightbulbs taken from OTHER CARS, but now I used some I found at a store and yes, they show 10%

(But in all honesty, until the Devs buff the headlight's durability, they'll break in just one brush with a Zed regardless if they're 100% or 1%...)

  5. Was heading to valley station, but the bridge leading to Valley Station was blocked by wrecks. So, I got off my car, and tried to find a blowtorch and mask. This search took me as far as The Mall (Sneaking System works like a charm now; I actually STEALTHED the entire place out), where I found what I was looking for, hotwired a random car and headed back to the bridge.

By the time I got there, my car was gone, and if I walk over the spot it was left on, I get LITERALLY hundreds of errors on the lower right corner. Any idea of what may have happened? This is not the first time I leave my car somewhere and walk- What happened this time?

  6. Hm, as far as I am aware, there IS something like this already in game, albeit on a small scale.

Try piling up as many zeds as you can on a pile at least the size of a car and then try walking over it; you'll see your char struggling a lil' bit, as if in a forest. Then try driving a car at fast speed over it, touching it only with the wheels of one side and you'll see the car flip.

I do agree, however, that they could use a bit more of a Z plane; piles are still too flat, and corpses sometimes feel like cardboard cutouts.

  7. So, I decided to go and check the Rosewood Penitentiary to loot their armory (happens to be one of the best ones due to the sheer number of containers), expecting a wave of orange jumpsuits coming at me. However, when I got there.... there were none. I spent some time there, and the outfit ratio of the prison Zeds is as follows:

5/10 - Normal Zed (Random Civilian Clothes)

2/10 - Prison Guard Zed (Police Shirt, Prison Guard Pants)

1/10 - Random Police Zed (Any other Police Uniform combination)

    1/10 - Doctor Zed (Labcoat)

0.5/10 - Priest Zed (Priest Shirt)

0.5/10 - Burger Flipper Zed (Fast Food Server Hat, Apron)

Not A SINGLE orange inmate jumpsuit spawned, and I know they spawn in other places (I once found 3 inmate Zeds on a house, carrying duffels full of rope and duct tape) so it looks like they may have forgotten to enable their spawn there...

Yep, just to clarify everyone: it worked this way before. First 2-3 months of the car build (not sure if -all- of that was public) was all cruise, all the time.

Press W == increment speed up; press S increment speed down. Very simple, like you'd expect a throttle on a car to be, really.

Exactly! I don't know why you guys scrapped that style when it was so good compared to the "keep spamming W like an attention-starved grandma spamming F5 on her new FB Post" style we have now...

  9. First of all, I'll say that this new feature has been a case of "WHERE HAD YOU BEEN FOR MY PAST 657 HOURS OF GAMEPLAY!?"- I just LOVE how now I can hotswap from one weapon to another in the blink of an eye, allowing me to quickly adapt to whatever situation I am dealing with.

And so far, it has been smooth sailing, too. Only bug I've encountered is that, if you're wearing a normal holster and replace it for a double holster, the new slot won't show up. You have to unequip the gun on the old holster, unequip the old holster itself and then wear the new double holster for both slots to appear. Also, I feel like the guns are showing "too high" on my character's waist; can barely see their handles clipping into my jacket at navel height.

Also, if I were to make suggestions for the future, they'd be the following:

    -Weight Reduction

Just like the bag on our backs weights less than if we had it just in the inventory, items on those places should weight a little bit less. This shouldn't be too hard to implement as the functions are already there.

    -Utility Belt Slots

More slots for bandages, tools, traps, bombs, quick access to maps, or maybe even a way to wield our walkie-talkies without taking our second hand (Like this) for faster access. These belts could be dropped by mechanics, construction workers, firemen and the like, and some don't even need to be actual BELTS, but just POCKETS in the equipment we're wearing (Hello, Foreman's Jacket, all those pockets you have...).

    -Harness Holsters

    These-

    s7_230407_imageset_03

Also used by cops and security, just like normal ones. Could add 2 more guns slots, which would allow for using up to 4 guns at the time, swapping them as they become spent, which would be an interesting way of dealing with the reload system's disadvantages (why carry one gun and 3 clips when you could carry FOUR GUNS instead?).

    Just my two cents.

  10. So, was trying to test just how much Zed spawned after gunfire, and how survivable would a horde be with guns alone. For this, I went up the roof of the Large Warehouse in Mul and started shooting. At first, I got plenty of Zed, but after this first wave, I was getting... nothing. So I decided to go down to first floor and found this:

    20191028051031_1.thumb.jpg.dc4ae71ebb2e469ecf59245a2d8f4c23.jpg

They're went over the handrail, and remained floating; but I think this particular bug as been reported before. What matters here is WHY they went there instead of going up to get me.

While I was topside, I moved around a lot, and spent most of the time on the southwest (lower left) side of the roof, and apparently, the Zed could not figure out I was on the floor ABOVE and just jumped the rail in order to get me.

Now, folks who reported this rail bug before mentioned that the Zed become immortal, but I just discovered they only become IMMUNE TO MELEE; you can't hit them, but you CAN SHOOT THEM-

    20191028051118_1.thumb.jpg.942379cca582aaac58be71b4ed5d00a4.jpg

And no matter what, your shots WILL HIT, and kill the Zed, one hit.

    20191028051206_1.thumb.jpg.e620e1b9be815fdc083e03d4011a0e8b.jpg

Which makes for a hilarious exploit not just to survive a big horde, but to level up your Firearm Skills; fire once at the roof, Zeds come a-chargin', deal with the few stragglers that DO get to the roof, come down and tap the floaty Zeds in the head for easy XP...

... Please Devs, take your time with this bug- I'm sure we can get the NPCs out before you fix this good feature bad bug :P

EDIT: Damn! Patch had just fixed the Floating Zed issue..... Gotta keep in mind that telling the devs to NOT FIX something is the best way to get it fixed ASAP :P
Still tho, gonna check if the pathing issue still happens.

  11. So, I was thinking of setting up shop in the Big Warehouse at Mul (especially now that I can put my car inside), so I started rebuilding one of my old designs, which involved covering this hole on the second floor with wooden floor like you see here on the right.

    20191018131146_1.thumb.jpg.365c8957ba426a000042d6a8f3d63a68.jpg

However, the moment I walk into it....

    20191018131154_1.thumb.jpg.0e47d139909dc203d12e2e7524b89daa.jpg

Not only everything around me vanished, but now I am supposedly OUTSIDE, as I get wet on the rain and lose my boredom Moodles. Tried doing similar additions of second floor to other buildings with internal platforms (McCoy Logging main building, Railyard Warehouses, Warehouses out of town, etc) and the results are all the same. It only happens when you add floor INSIDE of a building; outside is OK.

Seems like the cut-away system didn't had these possibilities into account, so the game basically thinks you're just floating there....

Also can't pick up or dissassemble some 2 tile objects, The desks here have the same issue

Very old bug; been like that since the Furniture Moving was first implemented. Can't move those cubby walls, and some desks for some reason.

zombies spawning is a bug right now, we literally have them suddenly appear in the middle of a room after you've walked into it. Glad to hear you're feeling better about the changes!

And I'm afraid I have to inform this bug is affecting spawn rates in an alarming way, pun fully intended-

Fired my gun a few times a house, then quickly stealthed to another house (have Inconspicuous and maxed Stealth) and hid in a room whose door had a glass and I could see thru it, and saw Zed spawn not once, but TWICE and go after the alarm.

Meaning, every time you use a gun, you're pretty much spawning an INFINITE number of Zed, making guns basically completely unviable for for anything other than summoning massive hordes.
